A Little of This, A Little of That...

This blog post will probably have no subject and no rhyme or reason, I just feel like writing and will see where it takes me!  I have so totally lost my blogging mojo, but I have been reading your blogs and trying to figure out where my kind of blog fits in.  It's not a crafting blog, nor is it a sewing blog.  I am not a foodie, or even much of a home decorator..So any ideas of where I fit in besides Miscellaneous much appreciated!

We spent several days in Northern Cal weekend before last for Jackson's 1st birthday.  A fun time was had by all.  Here are several pictures.  Grace Lily had a blast at her brother's birthday, playing in the sunshine and with some other little girl friends of theirs..she and Jack were both exhausted by evening!

 Time for gifts!

Time for play, Grace Lily is in the pink plaid dress along with little playmates!

The kids daddy, our son and our older son got out kites and entertained the little ones, it was fun to watch the 'big boys' run their butts off trying to entertain toddlers!

Our smiling Grace Lily

Happy Jack!
We will be heading back up north over the Memorial Weekend to celebrate Grace Lily's 2nd birthday..I need a nap!  We love spending time with them and our kids, all of our kids..we were so lucky that this trip, for Jack's birthday, our older son Dan and his sweet girlfriend Annette were able to drive up from SoCal to attend the party.  Now we have to convince them to make the trip in May.  Our family feels complete when we are ALL together..does that make sense?

Thank you for indulging this Mimi!

Why Hello There!

I am still having problem with blogging..not that I don’t want to get my mojo back, I just seemed to have lost some of it and can’t seem to find it again. Having a hard time trying to come up with ideas to chat about..My life is not very interesting right now, hence part of the problem.

I’m a bit late in joining dear Beverly’s Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound, please stop by her blog and get to know her and some of my fellow pinkies! A treat in store, for sure!

I think today it’s time for some pictures of the grandbabies, I haven’t posted any for a while and they are growing like weeds! I was fortunate to be able to fly north and spend Easter weekend with them, while Dogpaw stayed home to care for the doglets…we will be heading up there this upcoming weekend for Jackson’s 1st birthday party, and again at the end of May for Grace Lily’s 2nd birthday party. Time is flying by and we feel so blessed to have these babies in our lives!

I usually blog using Live Writer, is anyone having problems with their Live Writer?  It won't post my blog after trying for about 2 hours I gave up and am using Blogger which I am totally unfamiliar with.  Just tried to upload a couple pics of the grands and got an error message..UGH..so no pictures until I can figure this out I guess..Any suggestions welcomed!

Well,I can't upload any pictures for some reason so can't show off any pink, so I will just say THINK PINK, LOL.…I promise to try to get here more often to post and also to catch up on my blog reading, also woefully in short supply. I have been busy sewing some Market Bags for a few clients, I enjoy making them and such a nice alternative to paper or plastic bags.

Also have been making a few aprons, but I need to start sewing for my precious babies soon!

Thank you for stopping and allowing me to show off my grands a bit..Have a wonderful and blessed weekend…

EDIT:  Somehow I figured out how to add pictures!  Enjoy!

Valentine’s Bottle Swap

It doesn’t get more pink than a Valentine’s Bottle Swap, hosted by the wonderful Miss Mollye at Fruit of the Spirit.  My new friend Anitra of Coffee Pot People sent me the most wonderful Valentine’s goodies and the mailing container was a clean 2 liter bottle.  Go figure how she squeezed all these goodies into one of those but it worked!  Thank you Anitra!  I loved everything!

Here are a few delightfully pink pictures!

I neglected to take pictures of the items I sent to my partner so hopefully she will post some.  Some days are better than others, that was a day that my brain was on vacation, I guess..

Thank you Anitra for the most fabulous bottle swap!  I love everything!

I am linking up to Pink Saturday at Beverly’s How Sweet the Sound.  Please stop by and visit some of our pinkies and see what Valentine’s treats they have shared with us!

Goal Setting..

How many of you set goals at the beginning of each year?  Perhaps some call them resolutions…I refuse to set resolutions, the name alone screams FAILURE to me.  But goals, I can handle that word I think.

So, what are some of your goals for 2013?  I have a couple.  First and foremost, I want to be happy.  Happy here in the desert, where God has put us.  I truly believe that Carl and I are HERE for a reason.  I have a harder time believing that when it’s 100 degrees with no cool down in sight during the summertime, but maybe that’s when I need to believe even more.  And the wind is a problem for us, today is especially chilly and windy and I want to take a short walk.  I have a hard time walking in this wind, it hurts my ears but maybe the answer to that is wear a scarf around my ears to help and keep my head warm at the same time.

Speaking of walking, that is probably the only kind of exercise that I can make myself do at a regular interval.  Some days it really hurts to walk, but on those days that it does not, I need to get out there and walk.  It’s really the perfect exercise for almost everyone, next to swimming..How many of you make a point of taking a walk on a daily  basis.  I envy those who have the money and fortitude to head to a gym, that is just not my ‘thing’ so no use even trying.  At my age I know what I will follow through with, and what I won’t do, and that is one of them.

I turn 60 this upcoming June.  I don’t want to look like ‘this’.  I am finding with my fibro and my extra weight that I am having a hard time physically caring for my baby grandchildren when I am with them.  I hate to admit they wear me out.  I love them so, so much but I need to get in better shape to be able to care for them when Scott and Lainie need us to.  So, the goal I have is to walk, and lose some weight before my 60th birthday on June 21st.  Can I do it?  Yes, I can do it.  I HAVE to do it.  Enough is enough.  I don’t know how much weight I will lose by June, but I will lose something.  The person I look like is not the person inside of me.  The person inside of me has energy and fortitude to spare..the person on the outside, bleh..

I have one other goal.  To get my home in an organized state.  It’s terrible right now, we have too much ‘stuff’ and I can’t even get my sewing area organized.  I am getting tired of spinning my wheels, so to speak.  I spend as much time looking for rulers, rick rack, patterns, etc…than I do sewing.  Makes me crazy!  If anyone has an organizing fairy they can send my way, I would be grateful!

Have a wonderful and productive day

So, how about YOU?  Care to join me in setting a goal?
