Wedding Heart

I was asked to make a 'pretty' Wedding Day card by a work colleague for the upcoming wedding of her Niece...

What I used...

Linen card - The Range

Peach card - Core-dinations

Fancy border die - Spellbinders

Heart Die - Apple Blossom

Greeting - Neuton Cursive font

Flat-backed pearls - The Range

I kept the overall design simply but glammed it up with the fancy dies and pearls.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:

Crafty Sentiments - anything goes

Everybody Art Challenge #492 - dies

Wedding Cake

I've got a couple of friends getting married in the next month - both very small weddings because of COVID. Here's a card I've made for one of them using one of the Anita's foiled decoupage sheets...

Again, I've used mirri card which is so difficult to capture in a photograph. The patterned papers are from packs form The Range in my stash - the pink one with diamond outlines is very appropriate! To embellish, I've added 3 small glittery heart gems.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:

Aud Sentiments #257 - AG plus sentiment

Crafty Sentiments - AG

Creative Knockouts #362 - sparkle and shine

Dream Valley #230 - add gems or pearls

Creations In Pink #24 - AG

Ike's World #135 - 3 of a kind (heart gems)

Be Mine

I don't make many Valentine cards - mostly because I only have one other half!

I came across some lovely NitWits toppers and papers in a very old card magazine which went perfectly with a kraft base - and weren't too girly...

I added a dark red border to the lovely NitWits backing paper and I mounted the die-cut topper using foam pads. Using the same dark red patterned paper, I added some strips in each corner.

I've kept the design very simple, using only a button to embellish. I've left the soppiness for inside the card!

Golden Anniversary Heart

Today's card is for a friend to give her In-laws on their Golden (50th) Anniversary.

I've used a variety of dies cut with the same bright white linen card used for the base card. Golden highlights have been added with dull gold backing paper and die-cut numbers.

I've added some die-cut scrolls and white pearls as embellishments.

LOTV Lavender Wedding

A quick tidy round in my craft room and I came upon a box of Lili Of The Valley 'Art Pads' in my stash which they sadly no longer make. As these are pre-coloured they are great for quick cards - though I did add some lavender highlights and coloured the flowers to co-ordinate with the colour of the backing card (and the wedding colours)...

The die is an old favourite from Spellbinders and I've added some pearls and ready made paper flowers.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Allsorts #553 - use soft pastel colours
Gem Of A Challenge week 1 - anything goes

Wedding Day

Today's card is for a friend who is getting married next weekend...

It was very easy to make - the most time-consuming job was die-cutting all the flowers and swirls.

I used a large 8x8 scalloped base card and added a square piece of patterned paper - a soft pastel grey and white spotty design. Then, I started by placing various swirls in the 4 corners and added the die-cut flowers that had flat-backed pearls in their centres.

The lettering is also die-cut - I mounted the letters on tiny foam pads and used masking tape to ensure they were stuck down in a straight line!

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Simply Create Too #150 - use lots of flowers

Winter Wedding

Today's card is for a wedding at the end of the month...

I've used a Lili Of The Valley topper from one of the art pads they used to make - I wish they still did these pads! The image was cut using an oval die then matted on coordinating pink card. It was then mounted using foam pads onto the background fancy die. I've added some flat back pearls and some flowers and fancy scroll dies in the corner. The greeting was made using Formal 436 BT font.

Here's another photo is a different light, though I do like how the photo above show off the textured card.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Scrap and Craft Inspirations #9 - winter wedding TOP 3!
Aud Sentiments #192 - bingo (pink, digi image, dies)

Yay - it's Friday - although we're having a bit of a wet one here in the North East of England - I think Summer might be over!

As usual the challenge is 'Anything Goes' which makes it so much easier to join in. Today's wonderful sponsor is Nikki - aka Melonheadz

What a wonderfully weird image but as it's for a bit of a strange couple I think it's perfect!

I've coloured the image using pro-markers and used a range of pink and grey patterned papers from my stash. I've added some die cut flowers with black pearl centres as embellishments and added a sentiment created in Publisher.

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

LOVE U

As Valentine's Day quickly approaches I thought I'd better get a card made for the other half while he is out at the football...

I've used nothing but dies here - the background hearts die is from Sissix, the large heart is from a hearts matting pack, the 'love' is from Diamond Press and the 'u' is from and old alphabet die set.

I've used a black card base to try to make the overall look a bit more masculine. I'm really pleased with how the bold red jumps out against the white background!

Im entering this card into the challenges at:

Just Us Girls #380 - hearts - Chic of the Week!
That's Crafty - I heart you
4 Crafty Chicks #337 - love
Crafting By Designs - love and romance
Deep Ocean Challenges #148 - hearts
Dies R Us #66 - hearts

Love You...

Now I don't usually make Valentine's Day cards but I have certainly been inspired by the following challenges today:

Allsorts Challenge Blog - clean and simple
My Time To Craft - love is all around
Just Us Girls - valentine
Less Is More - white on  white
Inkspirational - photo inspiration

Using some lovely linen textured card and some clear gems I created this:

I made the letters in Publisher and cut them out with a craft knife. The heart is die cut and I created a bling border using gems. I've mounted these with foam pads on a trellis embossed panel. The gem theme is continued with stick on letters.

I must also wish a happy 5th birthday to Less is More - where has the time gone? Their challenges often brighten my Saturdays and the design team past and present is made up of some of the most talented CAS card makers I've seen in blogland.

Celebrate

Today's card is inspired by three challenges:

Less Is More:
It's Recipe Week

and we would like you to include

a TAG on your project
and Allsorts Challenge blog - bring on the bling.

In an attempt to use some old stash, I've resorted to using peel-offs. In a classy CAS way of course! The label is made with a die that came free with a magazine and the die cut greeting is from Paper Smooches, The decoration behind the tag is made with black paper ric-rac and peel-off lines.

I've added some gold gossamer ribbon and some gold gems to bling it up.
