KEVIN TODD

Kevin Todd, born in 1943 in Hurstville, Sydney, was a regular performer on Bandstand and Johnny O'Keefe's Six O'Clock Rock. In school, he had no interest in choir, focusing instead on footy. His singing journey began after watching others perform on TV, thinking, ''If they can do it, so can I''. Before catching the singing bug, he was set for a career in his godfather’s wholesale fruit marketing business. In 1961, he released his debut single ''Linda Lea'' on the HMV label and married fellow performer Laurel Lea, with whom he often sang duets. Throughout the 60s, Todd released several singles and supported Screaming Lord Sutch’s 1964 tour before later moving into the club scene.
