The Morloch was a Sydney-based band formed in the 60's. Their first regular gig was at Hernando's Hideaway in York St in the city. Their first release was ''Every Night / I'm Feelin' Sad'' on the RG (Reg Grundy) label in 1965. Moving to Parlophone they released "Time Machine / Hit The Road, Jack" (1966) of which in some circles is named as Australia's first psychedelic record. Their last recording ''It's Time You Realised / From The Start'' came out in the same year. ''Time Machine'' has found its way on to many compilations. A former band member has added further info: ''There was a three day music festival at the old Hordern Pavilion and we were on the card along with most of the major Oz bands of the time. It was a big event. We went to Melbourne where our manager in Sydney claimed he had lined up work for us. No such thing. When we got there nothing had been arranged and although we managed to get ourselves some good gigs we were living in abject poverty in the middle of winter and the band broke up''.
