THE SOUNDBENDERS

One of Adelaide's best groups of the 60's and 70's whose cover of The Lovin Spoonful's ''Do You Believe In Magic'' charted in 1969. They recorded two singles on the Festival label. Jane Palmer was a pioneer for women in the music industry being a lead guitarist in a male dominated band. Virtually unheard of in the 60s. The band toured regional areas of South Australia and Victoria. They also gigged in Melbourne at various clubs and discos. Unfortunately, three members of the band are deceased, Jane Palmer died in 2007, David Hyde died in 1998 and Ralph Linde in 2023.
