Cinderella

Today I wanted to share a card with you I made a couple of weeks ago while my Mom and I got together to stamp. I love this sentiment from SU and I thought it would be cute to pair it with Sassy Studios Cinderella image. I had so much fun coloring this image!! Who doesnt love Cinderella?!LOL! I used some pretty MME glitter dp. I cant remember the name of it I think its called At Home (thats the disadvantage of splitting all my dp with Mom b/c she always cheats and keeps the pack with the name on it!LOL!). I also did some stitching on this one! Yay me! Although I did cover up a couple of places with some embellishments. Those *may* have been places where the stitching was messed up!LOL! I do LOVE how this turned out though. I added some sparkle to Cinderellas dress because she HAS to have some sparkle I mean come on...shes Cinderella!LOL! Have a great one!

Hostess with the Mostess

My poor desk has been missing me...I would feel it call out to me every time I walked by it this week!LOL!! I finally had a chance to sit down and put together this card tonight. Todays Stamp something challenge is Stamped something (clear or rubber stamps). I used Amber Inks new set that Im just lovin Hostess with the Mostess. This new set from Amber Ink is available NOW in clear stamp or digi stamp!! I love how you can add all the accessories to her tray to make this such a versatile set! I decided to go with Thanksgiving for this card with her. I used some BG Indian Summer dp and the sentiment is from SU. I started out using this weeks SCS sc for my layout but then realized I left off a panel but I still love how it turned out. Sorry the pic isnt great we've had some rain so I pulled out my photo tent and remembered why I havent been using it..my nephew broke one of my bulbs.
Come join us this week at Stamp Something and pull out your clear or rubber stamps and get them inky! Check out what the SSDT got inky this week here!

Summertime Donna

Its Sunday so you know what that means....another Kenny K Challenge! Team A is up today with a "in the summertime" challenge. I could not resist playing since I've been dying to use this DCWV citrus stack dp and I thought it was perfect for this challenge. Im still playing with some of Kennys Gothik Angelz and colored Devlish Donna with copics. I've also been on a stickles kick lately!LOL!
Okay so a little info on this card...I started with Donnas hair and Im going to be honest w/you and tell you there are sooo many colors on here I cant even remeber what I used!LOL! I kept trying to get it just the way I wanted. She was so fun to color! I also got to use some new SU goodies. I used daffodil delight cs and ribbon on this card. After I had the card put together I thought it need something so I went back and added some paper piercing and lines to match the background in the dp. Its really hard to see in the pic but behind the flowers has line and dots and I TRIED to mimic that on the sides to give it a little something extra. I really wish I would have used yellow instead of red but I didnt have a daffodil marker! Sorry I dont have the copics listed if you would like to know the colors I can try to figure out what I used. Have a great day!

Christmas Cardinal

I wanted to make a non cutesy Christmas card so I borrowed this SU Christmas cardinal set from my Mom and colored him up last night. When I saw featured stamper Pams card here I knew it was the one I wanted to case. I love when that happens! I kept the layout but left off the border punch. I really like her ribbon treatment but I didnt have enough room on my image so I used a buttony bow instead. I also used pearls instead of rhinestones brads and changed the placement.
Busy day today! I HAVE to get started wrapping presents and we have our Christmas play tonight where Santa will drop by for a visit! The kids are being extra good today!LOL!! Have a great day!!

Yesterday I had babies on the brain and today after browsing quickly through the DD gallery I have fish on the brain!LOL! I used todays sketch challenge for my layout which is really similar to the layout I used yesterday. I went a little crazy with the layers today!LOL! Alot more than I usually use! I used a new goodie too! I got this EK success border punch on my last trip to Michaels. For the main image I colored the jelly using copics and popped up his head and added crystal effects which is why Im late loadin..had to wait for it to dry so I took my baby to lunch. I still cant believe he's 6 yrs old today! Happy Birthday my Bray man!!

After seeing all the wonderful baby cards this weekend baby was on the brain when I saw todays color challenge. Is everyone pregnant?!!LOL! My step sister had a baby this weekend and I think there were annoucements on several blogs I visit that they were expecting! So with baby on the brain I pulled out this retired SU set. I colored the bunny image with copics and prismacolor pencils. I also added some polka dots on the bunnys feet using the colorless blender and embossed the polka dots on the lavender lace layer to match. Im still stuck on using the nesties and sponging. Todays was the first time Ive used SU ink since I didnt have a color to match in chalk ink. I also used Jens sfytt for my layout.

Fishy pacific summer tango

Forgive my camera...Tangerine tango is not very photogenic!LOL!!

I made this card for todays color challenge that is being hosted by my Mom n5stamper...so I wasnt getting out of this challenge!LOL! The colors for today are summer sun, tangerine tango, and pacific point. The kraft cs just kinda worked itself onto my card. Dont ask how!LOL! I pulled out one of my old favorites from SU fishy friends. I love to color this fish. He always makes me smile!! I even water colored him! No copics!LOL! I used reinkers and a blender pen to color him. Since I was using an old fave set I decided to pull out some old fave embellies. I used eyelets and staples on my card that I never use anymore (and still have a ton of!). Have a great day!!

Melon berry petals

Todays color challenge is a difficult one for me! One ink color and one layer! So I didnt EXACTLY make a one layer card but my layers are white!LOL!! I used a set that had some serious dust on it!LOL! I dont own alot of bold images since I love to color so much so I didnt have alot to choose from. About the only bold images I own are flower images and since its been awhile since I made a flower card I decided to go for it. Ive seen alot of cards using the brad/button combo and loved how it looked so I used it for my flower center which is the reason I needed another layer so the brad prongs wouldnt show through. I also used my curved rectangle nesties that was enabled by the fabulous Denise. She has made some gorgeous cards using these nesties and of course I had to have them!LOL! Im still trying to decide what type of sentiment to use on this card. I need some sympathy cards and I keep putting it off b/c I struggle with them. I never know what images to use. Do you think this would be a good sympathy card?!?!
We had a good time at the beach but I was ready to come home!! Alana started coughing alot while we were there and she went to the Dr yesterday and she has bronchitis. yayy fun!LOL! We went to Friday Fest while we were there. It was fun! The kids liked looking at all the cars/trucks and listening to the bands lined up on the streets. Have a great day!

Bambi Inspiration

I made this card this weekend while Mama and I were spending some stamping time together. I used Saturdays Inspiration challenge and Amy's Friday sketch. The IC came from a site called Little Odd Forest and I picked these bambi booties as my inspiration. I instantly seen twitterpated dp and SU forest friends!LOL! I love this yummy paper! I got mine at Treehouse stamps. No coloring on this card!! Can you believe it?!!LOL! It came together pretty quickly too so I was happy!

We are heading off to the beach in the am for a couple of days now that school and VBS are over with (big sigh of relief inserted here!LOL!). Hope you have a great weekend and I will be back on Sunday with a new post! P.S. Ive had a couple of people give me some awards BIG (((HUGS))) to you and I will get those posted next week!

Delight in life

The uber talented Christine is hosting the color challenge today and she picked some great colors!! Todays colors challenge is bordering blue, so saffron, and pink pirouette. I love when the color challenge includes a color I rarely use! I love bordering blue but for some reason it sits neglected. After Delight in life fell out of the drawer while I was looking through my stamps trying to find which set I wanted to use I decided to go with it!LOL! I havent used this set in a very long time!! Im not a big fan of flower cards! Dont get me wrong I LOVE looking at everyones elses flower cards but I just dont like MY flower cards!LOL! I have to say Im pretty happy with how this one turned out though. I used Julees mojo82 for my layout. I didnt have room for my sentiment so I stamped it on the inside. I added some piercing and sponging and the button is something I saw on Michelle's blog and wanted to try. Time to go pick up the kiddos from school! Have a great day!

Never ending love

Todays technique challenge is a never ending card. I thought this would be a great card to make for my little girl. We are supposed to have lunch with her at school next week so I thought I would give it to her then. I pulled out an old fave from SU monkey buisness. I used SUO only on this card!! It was hard to stamp on the score lines! I couldnt add alot of embellies b/c I wasnt sure how it would affect the folding so I added some paper piercing and some flowers to the vine. I also popped up the heart beside the monkey here. Not a fantastic card but I think she'll love it! Have a great day!

Forest Friends Case

Okay how do you case a Beate card and it even compare?!?LOL!! I loved her card here. I just got this set and her colors were wonderful so I knew I had to case it. The changes I made where I used the deer instead of the bunny. I did the grid technique but changed it to straight lines instead of diagonal. I added the grass and faux stitched layer. I also added (and messed up!LOL!) faux stitching to the kiwi kiss layer. Beate is the one who got me started on faux stitching so I knew I wanted to include it on my card today. I left off the sentiment, changed the ribbon, and added a rhinestone brad. I think the only thing I used that wasnt SU was the Scor pal and fantastix to ink the tree!! Its been a very long time since I did a SUO card!! Have a great day!!

Black Rose Artichoke Blossoms

I pulled out a couple of oldies for my card this morning. I love the flowers in the retired hostess set Both way blossoms and the font of the sentiments in Wonderful words. I tried to go a different route with todays colors but I kept coming back to flowers so I just went with it! I colored the roses using gamsol magic. For my layout I used Jens awesome sfytt . No ribbon on this one!! I used rhinestone brads for my embellies.

Raspberry Tart stems

I held off on this raspberry tart dp for awhile mainly b/c I usually dont make alot of flower cards and find it hard to use flower dp for some reason! Im a striped or polka dot kinda girl. When I saw the sweet stems paired with this dp I had to have them both!!LOL! Todays sketch was the perfect time for me to pull them out and use them. Dontcha just love it when that happens!??! Ive been missing seeing everyones beautiful creations and commenting! I plan to plant my behind in my computer chair today and catch up on everything Ive missed! My life has been getting in the way of my stamping time!LOL! I do have a couple of cards I finished over the weekend I just havent had time to take pics or post them. I hope to get them posted some time today!

Quick update on everyone...We are down to one still in the hospital and its Granny. She is scheduled for another CT scan on Friday so still no word on when shes going to get to come home. Have a great day!

Cinderellas Shoes

After seeing all the cards Jodi aka Kharmagirl and Dawn aka TreasureOiler made using this set I just had to get it! I paired it with the retired polka dots and paisley dp. I used todays sketch challenge for my layout. I colored the image using gamsol magic . I colored the bridal flower from Michaels using the regal rose SU marker. I love using my SU markers on sentiments with different fonts for a multi colored sentiment.
I spoke to Ashley owner of Treehouse stamps earlier this morning and they are w/out power. They have been under a winter storm warning and Ash says they have a blizzard warning now. I will be speaking to Ashley to post updates. If you have placed an order with Treehouse stamps in the last couple of days Ashley will not be able to send an invoice or ship your order until they have power and the warning is lifted so mail can run. If you have questions you can email me sadersk@yahoo.com .Have a great day!

Tyson the turtle case

Congrats to Lori!! Lori is todays featured stamper and I *heart* her gallery!! Especially this Tyson the turtle card I cased. Ive had this card in my faves for quite awhile and was so glad to get a chance to case it today!! I kept the layout, Tyson image, and the buttons since its what I liked most about the card. Changes I made: I changed the colors to green galore and close to cocoa. I changed the sentiment and I didnt have the flowers Lori used so I used the baroque motifs swirl. I stamped the Linen stamped off twice since I didnt have the dp Lori used. I also added in Sanded background on my green galore layer. I added the grass and some piercing instead of the borders Lori used.
Its cold and wet here today so I guess I have no valuable excuse to not do the piles of laundry that need doing!!LOL!! Have a great day!!

Not Quite Breezy Path

When I first saw todays colors not quite navy, baja breeze, and kraft all I could think of was beach! I would love to be at the beach right now! Its a cold and gloomy day here!!
I pulled out A light unto my path since its retiring and inked it up. Ive wanted to try coloring this image so today was the day! I stamped the image onto kraft inked with not quite navy and colored using prismacolor pencils. I used Jens sfytt for my layout and added another row of brads b/c it looked off balance without it! The inside of the card is stamped with the verse and I added a strip of pierced baja breeze to the bottom of the card.
Im still trying to figure out if I like this or not!!LOL!! Have a great day!!

Button Bear Wassailing

Are you tired of Christmas cards yet?!?LOL! Im down to 2 Christmas cards before Im finally finished!! I pulled out this retired SU set Button bear for this card. I liked how his bow kinda matched the dp I wanted to use. I colored the bear, hat, and candy cane using gamsol magic. I outlined the bear using copic cool gray no.1 marker. Instead of paper for the tabs I used kraft taffeta ribbon. I added a button b/c I had to!! How can I not use a button on a button bear card?!?!LOL!
This is another teacher card so I made another candle to go with it. Im lovin these candles!! We took the kids last night to do their shopping and it was so cute watching them pick out gifts for us (but of course we couldnt peek!LOL!), each other, and their grandparents. They had a Secret Santa giftshop set up at the school with gifts from $0.50-$10.00 for the kids to shop out but they sold everything by lunch yesterday!LOL! I thought it was a great idea though the teachers helped the kids pick out gifts and they wrapped them at school. We're going to try one more time today to make some candy. The weather is supposed to cooperate today!LOL! Have a great day!

Noel Teacher gift

I spent yesterday working on Teacher gifts since my kids get out of school on Friday for the Christmas holidays. I found these candles at our dollar store on sale for $0.75! They had santas cookies, cinnamon, and christmas holly scents so I got 2 of each since I have 6 teacher gifts to make. This first one is Santas cookies and I paired it with last years Dashing dp. I used the ornmanent from the Noel stamp from Big on Christmas and popped it up.
I made a matching card using Taylors sketch again. I love this sketch so you will be seeing a couple more!LOL! I used the Noel stamp from Big on Christmas and colored with copics. I used the horizontal slot punch and added river rock ds ribbon to the image. I paired the image with the Dashing dp to match the candle and sponged all edges using river rock ink.

We didnt get to make candy yesterday b/c it wasnt the right weather so we are going to try again Wed. The weather has been so crazy lately. It was freezing one week, raining the next and this week it will be in the 70's all week!! It was 78 degrees today!! No wonder everyone around here is sick!LOL! Have a great day!
