Happy Turkey Day Betty

Two days in a row I've been able to play in the challenges! WOO HOO!LOL!! I played in todays sketch challenge with this super cute image from Pink Cat Studios. I used one of the SU impression plates on the cherry cobbler layer and if anyone knows a trick to getting a good impression from these I would love to know it! You can see it a little IRL but you cant tell it in the photo at all. I used some baja breeze prints and some pearls from a recollections set from Michaels along with some PTI orange zest ribbon.
Sorry this is so short but I'll be back later to list copics used. I did write them down I just have to find them!LOL!

Bettys Turkey Ride

I love having images colored up so I can actually post something to share with you! Today Im sharing a card with you I made for Mercys Tuesday sketch challenge. I love doing sketch challenges and Mercy always has a great sketch! I dont usually make Thanksgiving cards but when I saw this adorable image from Pink Cat studio I had to have her...along w/several others!!LOL! I paired her *again* with the Recollections dp from Michaels. I promise this is the last card for awhile using this dp!LOL! I colored Betty using copics and added some shadows using prismacolor pencils. Im really liking the slate gray for shadows with this dp! Mercys sketch had a layer for borders so I thought this MS zig zag border would work since it matches her hat!

Itty Bitty Bettys Turkey Day

Sorry for the dark photo!! Im not going to like the time change! By the time I finished my card today it was already dark and I still dont have my other photo light since Ive been taking my pics outside.
For todays or I guess I should say tonights card I used this adorable Bitty Betty image. Shes wanting everyone to have a Happy Turkey Day! I paired her with my fave fall paper Recollections from Michaels. I cant wait to see their Christmas paper since I enjoyed using this fall paper so much! I used Julees Mojo sketch and as I was linking it I realized I left off a layer so we'll just pretend the ribbon is that layer!LOL! Hey its Monday and I work with 4 yr olds all day! What do you expect my brains to be like when I get home!LOL! Ive defintely jumped on the digi image train. I love being able to resize them and of course having them right then. Patience is something I was never blessed with!

Froggy Pumpkin Fun

Todays lsc is Simply "fall"ing. We were to make a fall type card using only stamps, ink and paper. We could use nesties as long as there was a stamped image in the center. Yes I think I cheated a little using the paper piercer but it just needed "something"!LOL! When I think of fall I instantly think Halloween so I used this fun halloween image from PCS. I just love these little frogs!! So cute!! I colored the image using copics and added shadows (which is not showing up very good in the pic!) using prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I sponged versamagic melon chalk ink to the top of the image while it was still in the nestie. A really quick one for today!

Stamps: Froggy fun-PCS digi
Paper: white, Coredinations orange and yellow
Ink: Copics, versamagic melon
Accessories: prismacolor pencils, gamsol, paper piercer

Itty Bitty Betty's not clownin around

We've had a great weekend here! Hope yours has been the same! We were kid free last night so we went to a friends house and had a blast. Since we've been gone almost all weekend I havent had alot of computer time so I hope to catch up on my fave blogs tommorrow after school.
Its been forever since I made a tent topper card so when I saw this card in todays fs gallery I knew it was the one I wanted to case. Congrats to Lois todays fs! I kept the same theme as Lois's card. I changed the witch image to this adorable digi image by Pink Cat Studio. I colored Betty using copics and used periwinkle prismacolor pencil for the night sky look around her. I used Recollections halloween dp and cut out some of the bats from the dp to pop up on the main image. The inside sentiment says Flyin by with a halloween hi! I think this turned out pretty cute!

Yummy Frogs

I had so much fun playing with yesterdays challenge that I made another. Can you believe I made 2 cards in one day!??!LOL! On this card I kept my cutesy style mainly b/c Im in love with this new PCS digital stamp! Look at the adorable frogs! Gotta love it! I HAD to have them! I usually always do sketches so I rarely try to come up with my own layout mainly b/c it takes me so long and when I do I get a brain freeze!LOL! So for this card I didnt use a sketch! It took me forever!LOL!! I think it turned out pretty cute though. I used all PTI colors since they have been sitting neglected lately and I finally got my V99 copic for plum pudding and wanted to try it out. Im also loving e25, e27, and e29 for brunette hair right now! Have a great weekend!

Easter theme Lily

Todays color challenge is so saffron, bashful blue, and close to cocoa. Great colors for spring and just what I needed to get my little girls Easter card made! I pulled out Lily to make her card and colored her using copics. I watched a Laurens Lily video and love how she made Lilys shoes and the sidewalk and grass line so I made a grass line. I paired her with SU prints since Im totally addicted to those!LOL! I used Jens sfytt for my layout. This is also for the Occ Easter challenge. 3 challenges! woo-hoo!LOL! Peppermint Lily

Ive been trying to go through my Christmas sets and make at least one card w/each set. Last week Tori posted a card using Dress up Lily and I totally forgot about the Santa hat and cany cane w/her!! I went searching through my Dp to pair w/her and found this peppermint dp Ive had for about 3yrs now. So Lily and the peppermint paper have been sitting in my inspiration station just waiting to be used!LOL! While browsing through the flickr gallery for todays inspiration challenge I found this Peppermint dream ornament. So Lily and my peppermint dp finally got their chance to be put on a card! I added a candy cane button in her hand and added diamond tulip puffy paint to her Santa hat. Isnt she the cutest?!?! I used Jens sfytt for my layout. I try not to miss Jens sketches they are always so fun!!

Superheros Can do it!!

It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to do with todays colors. I wasnt in a Christmas card mood! I've had these Billy images for awhile and decided to make Brayden a card for a BIG test they have coming up after Christmas holidays. He loves superheros (that he calls fight men!LOL!) but what little boy doesnt!?! I colored Billy and his dog using gamsol magic. I wanted to make a "glow" around them but my copic marker wasnt working with me this morning so the glow didnt turn out exactly the way I wanted! I used a sentiment from H & M stamps A time for caring. It was perfect for this card!! I added piercing under the sentiment and along the bottom of the card (dont look too close I think my mat shifted!LOL!) I used Jens sfytt for my layout. I love this fun layout Jen is a layout genius!LOL!

Recipe:

Stamps: Billy, A time for caring

Ink: stazon black, basic gray

Paper: certainly celery prints/cs, textured basic gray, pacific point

Other: prismacolor pencils, gamsol, circle punches, copic markers, paper piercer and mat, pacific point ribbon, dimensionals
