My bright side window : Watercolors with Mixed Media Mojo

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my inspirational post made for Mixed Media Mojo challenge blog.
This month we challenge you to make Spring project and if you want you may use watercolors too.
So here is my Spring window and as you see I did used a lot of watercolors  here.
My pick were Faber Castell Gelatos and I made the background with them and then colored the heat embossed stamped images with the same Gelatos over the images. The resist technique works perfectly with those colors.
Spring is the season of innovation and hope. So I made the window sign  in this mood : Look for you hope
Stamps used are from WOW! Embossing Powders and Visible Image .

Hope I ispired you to use stamps for more then cardmaking only.

I am so glad I was on Visible Image team for one term, but as they moved to those cute adorable characters my mission there is over and this is a time to move one. Thanks for a great time on your team!

Same but different- tag tutorial

Hello, my dear crafty friends!
I decided to make my "Same, but different" crafty project. Those are already my " over made" projects as my DT term on Visible Image was over last month. But as I already made more projects, I decided to make those posts to share my projects with you.

Lot of times we see a tutorial from one of the most popular artists over the web that is great and inspirational, but we don't feel like those "copy and paste" kind of crafters, so we just pass. I saw this tag tutorial online, and I felt that as much as I like this tag, I hate to be a " duplicating monkey" and if I would make it, it should be done in my own and totally different way. So I made a design, even with similar shapes, but not a single product the designer used was used making this project. All I used were some stamps from Visible Image company I design for and all possible Faber Castell Design Memory Craft products.
So here we go!

Step 1
Stamp some Clock stamps  from Time After Time Visible Image set with clear embossing ink; add clear embossing powder and heat emboss them as shown.

Step 2 and here the watercolor fun begins:

Pick some green and blue Gelatos and begin to play with them all over the tag. I picked 4 colors from 3 different sets (Green, Blue and Metallic):
Now spread the colors and use my favorite baby wipe to do so. Less water, less drying time till the next step. Wipe the cardstock all around to get this lovely look.

Step 3:

Stamp the small  Film strip from Movie Set randomly over the tag with  Grey Big Brush Pen, but let the tag be totally dry after the blending.  The original tutorial was to add some clear film tape, but if you have a similar  great stamp you really don't need to use all those expensive products at all.

Step 4:

Paint your chipboards. Again, the original tutorial was about to die cut your own cogs, but for this you need a die to use and I don't have it, but fortunately I do have some bare grey chipboards from Tando Creative and they were just perfect for this project.
The dry Gelatos coverage was sufficient and a bit of Light blue Big Brush made it look like an old distressed metal. I also added some gold highlights with Metallic Mixed Media Sampler Gold pen.
This is how my tag looks with all chipboards covered with paint and some more brass metal cogs added over them.

  Step 5:
Make the sentiment tag. I used a plain Kraft cardstock with 2 more stamps from Visible Image Time After Time SET  and 2 colors of Big Brushes from the Red set .
I also inked the edges with Light Blue Big Brush and added some White Gelatos to mute the cardstock around.

Step 6:
And now for the last step for this project- arrange the sentiment tag and stamp Enjoy Life over the white seam binding ribbon.
Here is my final project, very similar to the tutorial, but yet so different.

This project was originally made for Faber Castell  blog, but as I used Visible Image stamps to make it I felt like my own readers and Visible Image fans  should read it too and I just remade it here.
Hope I inspired you a bit to take a web tutorial and to make it your own design.

All things altered Spring blog hop!

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Spring All things altered blog hope!
Today I am going to show you a few small altered projects, nothing big and everything can be made in like an hour.
Please visit all our  blogs and leave us some Love. There are prizes in some blogs too.
If you came from Barbara's  blog, you are on the right way, and if not- go to Pam's blog and begin there.
My first project is a  new version of another old key chain and Tim Holtz pocket watch.
Visible Image stamped, heat embossed and misted  watch stamp inside and some stamped flowers with Inspired by Stamping set, covered with Epiphany Crafts round 14 epoxies.

But wait, I have much more to share today.
My second project is an altered glass - and it's all Naturals collection from LYB I used here.
It was quite a lot of time since I altered glass containers, but this Naturals LYB collection just screamed " Alter glass candle holder" and so I did.

I used a double sided tape to add all this twine around the glass, then made all embellishments clusters and added some real natural twigs and it's so lovely to celebrate whatever you want too.

And how about more altered things made with the same Natural collection?

Visible Image Friday: Timeless trio

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is Friday and Friday is my Visible Image post day!
Today I am going to share my new Mixed Media project and this time I made this wall deco trio over Tando Creative chipboards with the same rainbow technique I already shared here in my blog using those gorgeous Visible Image stamps.
For this piece I used Bronte Border and  Retro Dots backgrounds and Time after time set (clocks and cogs)

Here are some close ups to the parts. All pieces were embellished with lace only and then I glued them over a piece of trim to make it one " solid" deco piece.

Visible Image Friday: Bee Happy

Hello, my dear crafty friends! This is another Friday and it's my new Visible Image Friday post.
This time I made this altered lovely chipboard (all chipboards this time are from A2Z Scraplets company) and with Visible Image  stamps and lots of WOW! Embossing powders made this lovely wall deco.

I stamped with Clear embossing ink over a solid white cardstock, stamped some Large Butterfly and embossed them with a lot of powders. Then I masked on and stamped a Dragonfly over it and then added some Winter  Tree branched around. All stamped piece was misted with light green mist.
The outer chipboard was heat embossed with green powder and then I stamped  Grunge Polka  Dot background over the part of it and heat embossed with yellow powder, same  powder used to emboss a piece of  honeycomb chipboard.  Then  some blings and plastic bees were added and this art piece was finished.

And now for my final project: this piece was a main point over my selfmade fabric mini album. I just glued it over and added this chipboard title.

Visible Image Friday: Just Be you

Hello, my dear  crafty friends!
It's VISIBLE IMAGE Friday and this is my new card made for this post with one of my most favorite Visible Image stamps:  Classic Face
I made it with Ombre  colors of 50 Shadows of Grey (no, I didn't like the book, but loved the title). The border was made with 4 different border punches, the title was just foam letters, but the stamp is the main point of this card. And even if you look at the mirror- you always should Be You. There are no duplicates!

Visible Image Friday: White embossed easy cards

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today is Friday and it's my new Visible Image weekly post.
For this post I decided to make 2 easy cards, both with stamped and white heat embossed images and to show  you how easy it can be done with Visible Image gorgeous stamps.
My first card was made with Ten Little Fingers stamps and both  Baby  Feet and Baby Hands stamps , all from Baby Stamp set. I  used a very old SU papers, stamped over the orange patterned paper (with white embossing you can stamp over any colored paper and it's still white and shiny).
I made some border punching, added some heart buttons, some Pink Paislee bracket stickers and an office staple over the top. The colors are not a very usual baby ones and I think that it can be used both for girls and boys.

My second card is  very general Thank you card made with a sentiment from  More than Words SET 7.
I made a multiple random stamping with Small Winter Tree stamp, heat embossed it with white powder, added Petallo flowers (you can make your own too, I was lazy), some red stickles and a chipboard corner. All papers are Glitz and a resin hat is from Halo Handmade shop.

See you next week with more Visible Image inspiration.

Visible Image Friday : Best wishes card

Hello, dear crafty friends!
It's Friday and  it's Visible Image new post  day.
Today I am going to show you a card I made with Immortal Love Rose stamp and one on the new sentiment More than Words  Set 7  stamps. This is a very general feminine card that can be used for all possible occasions.

I used 4 layers of Scrap Cake patterned paper as a base and then stamped the rose 4 times, colored it with Faber Castell Gelatos, glazed and glittered the hand cut the images  and made the middle one double layered using 3d foam glue. I also stamped the sentiment over the same range  or the paper and embellished it with Prima blings and Word or Whatever leave chipboard.  Pretty simple (for me anyway) card and yet very fancy.

Visible Image Friday: Make an old key chain a piece of art

Hello, my dear VISIBLE IMAGE friends!
Today is Friday and this is my second post for February. All of us have those old and  big key chains we got from somewhere and mine was from Morocco.  So I decided to make it " my own" and to recycle it to a piece of art. With a little help of Tim Holtz pocket watch (3 years in the box) and a bunch of Visible Image stamps, some shrink plastic,  black and white pigmented ink and a lot of attempts- here is my final result.

I used  Visible Image Pocket watch (medium size stamp) from Time After Time set, stamped over white cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then trimmed to the metal piece size.
Them I stamped the Medium Rose from Immortal Love set over milky shrink plastic, hand cut around and  shrinked to the final size that was just perfect fit inside the pocket watch. I made a second rose and then added this Love title from the same set, stamped with white pigmented ink over the black shrink plastic and added near my roses. That's was all. The is no place to add more trinkets inside and I decided  to leave the outer side without any embellishments as I really want to use it. I changed the watch color a bit with alcohol ink (it was silver and my original chain was brass color), added a tassel and connectors and this piece was finished to use.

Just think about the endless possibilities to use Visible Image big stamps with shrink plastic to make charms (don't forget about a hole before you shrink the  stamped piece), to make your own plastic embellishments, to color it before and after shrinking etc.

Hope you will try this fun technique too.
