Your inner sparkle card with CAS- ual Fridays

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new CAS- ual Fridays post.
Today I am going to share my new lovely sparkle card  made with one single CAS- ual Fridays   stamp  and one CAS- ual Fridays matching die.
Lately I am in this glittery mood and unicorns are the best fit for the glitters and sparkles.

The background was made over the adhesive paper with a stencil. First the blue layer of glitter was added over the stencil and then the clear glitter was added on the rest of the adhesive paper with the stencil off the paper.
The unicorn was stamped and die cut with the matching die and then the background black die cut was glued for the shadow.

The sentiment was stamped with black permanent ink and then inked with pink mist over it.
I decided to add the flower cluster to make it even more sparkling and festive.

Here are the stamp and the die used to make this lovely card:

See how easy it is to make this  card with just one great CAS- ual Fridays stamp set and one single die.

Hoppy Birthday card with CAS- ual Fridays

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today with a new small card tutorial I made for CAS- ual Fridays blog.
I used a cute stamp set and Fri- dies to make a black and white (with a touch of gold) Birthday card.
As you can see this card has minimum coloring and minimum embellishments.
Actually I only used glitter glue and some enamel drops to add gold touches and some coloring of the bunnies.

Here you can see the layering over the card :

And some close- ups too:

CAS- ual Fridays products used to make this card:
Bunny Fri- dies

Heart to Heart
Somebunny
And now for the tutorial:
1. Die cut two card bases in the A2 size- one black and one white.
Stamp the Heart to Heart background with black pigmented ink over white cardstock and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Stamp the same background with VersaMark over black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

2. Cut both stamped pieces diagonally . Glue two triangles over the black card  base as shown. Glue the two remained triangles on the back and die cut the smaller rectangle. Glue the smaller die cut  rectangle over the first one as shown.

3.Stamp the bunny image twice- one over black cardstock with white heat embossing and one over white cardstock with black embossing. Die cut both bunnies and one balloon as shown.Stamp the sentiment with permanent black ink.

4. Arrange the images over the basic card and glue them with 3d foam glue.
Add gold glitter glue and white, black and clear enamel dots as shown. Your fancy and yet easy to make card is done.

Altered cross stitching hoop : Give Thanks

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and I am going to share my Thanksgiving altered project made with totally non fall / non Thanksgiving BoBunny collection.
This week  the DT members were challenged to make Thanksgiving project. I was also challenged  to make Mantel decoration. So from the beginning there were two major problems with this project.
First of all I didn't even know what this one was. Then I was told that this is a fireplace decor. Living in Israel  the fireplace is the least used thing in our life. So I just made a nice home decoration and took a photo over the only shelf I have in my home. Really. There is a TV screen over each and every other drawer or shelf in my house, so imagine that you have a fireplace and my decoration is a part of your fireplace space.
The second problem was that I never got any Fall or Thanksgiving paper collection.
So this Floral Spice new and most gorgeous collection was the closest to the Thanksgiving that I had and yes, it worked!

I tried to make the simple and affordable and something that any crafter can make with just one BoBunny collection without die cutting, stamping or Mixed Media add- ons.

The background was made with two pieces of cardstock; the upper  circle  edges were covered with BoBunny Gold Glitter paste.
Then some more layers were added using Combo Stickers, cardstock hand cuts, a couple of Layered chipboards etc.
Two flower clusters were made with a lot of hand cut paper flowers from one single cardstock piece and layered with American Crafts foam dots.
The circled saying was made with Thickers from another new and adorable collection- Something Splendid.
The Floral Spice  collection has it's own lovely Thickers, but the color was too dark to be seen over my decoration hoop and I decided to use gold for the brighter color.

I added some gold glitter paste dots over the paper flowers and around the hoop.
Product list:
 BoBunny:
Floral Spice collection 12'' cardstock- Floral Spice, Owls, Intrigue, Take Flight, Memories
Floral Spice Combo Stickers
Floral Spice Layered chipboards
Something Splendid Thikers
Gold Glitter Paste

American Crafts:
Sticky thumb glue  runner
Sticky thumb adhesive foam dots

I hope that you like my " non fireplace" altered piece!
Thanks for being here with me today and see you in a week with my first Christmas project!

Happy Hanukkah with CAS- ual Fridays

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today and I am going to share one more Hanukkah card.
Hanukkah is just around the corner and as CAS- ual Fridays have the most beautiful Hanukkah stamps and Fri- dies this is a time to get yourself a few new items from the shop and to make a few new Hanukkah cards.
This time I decided to stay with die cutting  only and there is no stamping on this new card. But then there are a few background techniques that can be useful for non  stamping crafters or for these who want to make a set of cards with just dies and to try some Mixed Media easy techniques.

This card was made over the thick white cardstock without any patterned paper (not so much of  Hanukkah cardstock can be found in the shops).
I tried to stay in our traditional Hanukkah colors of blues and silver, but believe me you can use purples and gold, black and white or even reds and oranges of candle flames.
This is how it looks from the side: flat and fits the regular cheap mailing envelope.

And here is the main part- with both CAS- ual Fri- dies.

I used two sets of dies for this card: the first is the new and just released Happy Hanukkah Fri- dies set and the second is the older, but still much loved ........ Fri-n dies set.

Happy Hanukkah

And I made a full step by step photo tutorial for you all too.

1.Cover the card front with 3 strips of painters tape (repositionable tape to use for painting lines).

2.Use inks (I used American Crafts Mixed Media inks for this card) to ink the first strip on the card and then move the strips and ink all other parts with different blue ink colors.

3. Die cut the Star of David as shown and then arrange it inside with colors in the different spots.

4. Cover the card front with the stencil and use translucent texture paste over the stencil.
Let it dry for a few minutes.

5. Heat the dry paste and use silver foil and bone folder to add some distressed silver foil over the stencilled parts. This is not the usual way to use the foil, but  it worked without any laminators or other fancy tools. Anyway all I wanted is the get some silver over the texture paste lines, not to foil the stamped images.

6. Add some silver glitter drops over the die cut star as shown and let them dry.

7. Die cut the Happy Hanukkah and heat emboss it using VersaMark ink and glitter blue embossing powder.

8.Arrange the card and add more glitter glue drops over the card front.
Happy Hanukkah to you!

I really hope that you like my Hanukkah card and my small tutorial.

CAS- ual Fridays November release- Merry Christmas Fri-Dies & Happy Hanukkah Fri-Dies

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 4 of our new CAS- ual Fridays Holiday release.
Today's release are two matching Holiday dies: one is for Christmas and the second is for Hanukkah.
So I made a " twin" cards set- same arrangement, but totally different look.
The mediums used are different and so are the card colors made in totally traditional  Holidays colors.

 Merry Christmas Fri- die
 Happy Hanukkah Fri- die

Here are some close- ups to the twin cards:
On the Christmas card the circles were made with gold glitter paste and then the card was misted with a mix of green mists.
The sentiment was die cut once and glued in the Mixed Media style with Glossy Accents that are seen, but everything can be done on Mixed Media card.

On the Hanukkah card the circles were made with white texture paste over the same stencil and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
The background was made with Distress Oxide inks and water.
The die cut sentiment was die cut from silver glitter cardstock.

So as you can see: two cards- same look, different mediums.
Both card are easy to make and can be done as the mass production.

So come back during the next 2 days and if you want to buy some of our new goodies, here is the discount code for you to use:

See you tomorrow with more CAS- ual Fridays inspiration from the new release!
