Our little Valentine is 2! Madison woke up bright and early (6:30) with lots of energy ready for her big day. She likes to get dressed right away so we pulled out an outfit that Grandma gave her, she pulled it out and said “ooooh” and started dancing around the living room with it.
We had pink cinnamon rolls for breakfast, girls opened up their little gifts from “cupid” (little mailboxes with gumball machine) and got ready for Madison’s party.
Mads helped with the balloons.
We had her friends Addison, Lizzie, Kayla, Merrill, Zaylie and Dylan come over to play and have a picnic lunch inside.
This was my first attempt at decorating a cake – it did not turn out well, I think I’ll stick to cupcakes from now on but Miss Mads didn’t care.
Blowing out her candles.
Everyone left and Madison was so wound up from the party she didn’t take a nap. So we played with her new toys, played Peter Pan and Captain Hook (Mckenna’s choice) and then picked up Jason for dinner.
We went to McDonald’s with Bob and Jill, the girls played a while, went home and dipped chocolate strawberries and then put the kids to bed. Madison was exhausted. It was a whirlwind of a day but I am so glad Madison came into our lives two years ago. I can’t imagine what our life would be like without her big cheesy grins, crazy dances, hugs and kisses, silly animal noises, and her laugh. I wish I could freeze time and save her as my little 2 year old. She is the sweetest most spunky little girl I know – so glad I was blessed to be her Mom.
Happy Birthday, Madison Elizabeth!
