I loved this July. I dream for days like these during the long winter months. We made so many great memories filled with band concerts at the park, Flathead Lake, lots of trips to Salmon, Downtown “Out to Lunch”, picnics at the park, swim lessons, the “M” and even a garage sale. How I hated to see these days go!

Independence Day 2012
What a perfect 4th of July we had! We woke up early and went to the pancake breakfast at Fort Missoula, ate a yummy breakfast and then headed to the lake for the day.
Nicholas and Courtney came to visit for the week.
My little firecrackers.
The lake was amazing – we were practically the only ones there, it was smooth and it felt so nice to finally have some sunshine. Mckenna even tried to ski!
Mads with her best bud.
Madison tried it too and absolutely loved it. She cried when she had to get off.
Cousins decked out in their red, white and blue.
After boating we went to Seeley to grab lunch at Lindy’s. The girls played on the lawn and rolled down the big hill together.
We came home and Dad gave the girls pedicures.
The kids couldn’t wait to do fireworks so we had a little “preview” show.
Our annual flag cake.
We roasted marshmallows and waited for it to get dark.
We watched the mall fireworks from the deck. Mckenna and Breanna played “Disneyland” down on the lawn the whole show.
Then we had some fireworks of our own. Breanna’s face is classic!

June Fun
June was a whirlwind, I guess what month isn’t?? But summer finally arrived in Montana and we made lots of great memories, our June roses, and have an overload of pictures to prove it.
We went out to Grandma Lofgren’s house and helped pull out their bushes. The girls loved climbing up their tree and finding earthworms in the dirt after the bushes were removed.
The girls love having their own copy of the Book of Mormon. One day they took it to the picnic table and started reading it together. Madison even said a prayer by herself. Sweet thing.
We took a trip down to Utah to visit cousins. Mom and I left early and went down and then Jason and Dad came a few days later. The girls were exhausted and always seemed to sleep on top of each other.
The first day we were there Mckenna and Brooklyn decided to play hairdresser on each other. Mckenna got a big chunk of her bangs cut off and some snips taken off in the back and Brooklyn had a chunk taken off in front. How I wish I had a camera on them while they were doing that! Little stinkers.
We went to the Bees game on the most gorgeous summer night. Melissa and her family drove all the way from California and met us there that night.
We roasted hot dogs and s’mores at Michael’s house.
I was having a rough day and Michael went and got me some Apple Beer that I havn’t had since we moved from Utah. It hit the spot. I have the best family.
We went to Seven Peaks one day.
And stayed with Rob and Rosanna and went to Trafalga.
Then the cousins came up to Montana.
We were out at Grandma Lofgren’s house and the kids found a dead bird so they made a little grave for it.
We went to the dog show and saw the Shaggy Dog!
Madison digging in the dirt at DQ.
We came home one night and ate ice cream on the hill. There was a perfect patch of clovers and Mckenna looked for 4 leaf clovers and picked lots for me.
Love summer nights like these.
Helping Grandpa make pies.
The girls had a great time playing with their cousins.
Our first time to Splash Montana this year! Mckenna has been talking about coming here for months and we finally made it.
