Helping out . . .

I have recently decided I don't want to change diapers any more. I have had enough. I have been changing diapers since August 10, 2006 without a break. From January 13, 2008-June of 2009, I changed two sets of diapers. I am very grateful that Benson no longer requires my diaper changing services. I wish so badly I was brave enough to potty train Mr. Griff, but since he still speaks Chinese and has a nervous breakdown when I place him anywhere near the toilet, I guess I will have to wait. In the meantime, I decided to pass on my diaper-changing expertise on to Mr. Benson. He now holds the title, Diaper-Changer!

Ok, so he doesn't actually change all of his little brother's diapers, but he loves to be involved with the process. He always gets me a diaper and wipes (generally the entire box of diapers) and happily pulls wipes out for me and comments on how stinky and disgusting Griffin is. And, he does a pretty good job with the wet diapers in the morning. What a stud. I have been thinking that I would get motivated and make him a chore chart so he can earn money and buy a new bicycle. I am now thinking, if he will just change all the diapers, I will get him whatever he wants. . . but who am I kidding? He gets whatever he wants right now. I am a sucker for that kid.
Now, let's be really honest. I actually don't mind changing diapers all that much. In fact, I am sure I will bawl the day I don't get to spend an extra $100 million dollars at the store on diaper-changing products. I love having babies, but I think I may love having big kids who can help with the babies even more. :)
P.S. I have a pretty hilarious video of Benson performing his diapering skills, but it involves a little too much nudity and I can't get Griffin to sign a consent form.

On a Golden Springtime

Today, we decided to pretend it was Spring.

We went outside in the glistening sun and rode our bikes. Correction: the boys rode their bikes. I sat in a lawn chair and squinted.

We wore sandals and G A P sweatshirts. Correction: I wore Keith's B Y U hoodie because it is warmer than my G A P sweatshirt.

I wish you could have seen Griffin's glorious grin and his cute little legs gallop his trike along. Or Benson's lightning quick pedaling skills and hyena laugh when he would crash to the ground on purpose.

Today, we decided to pretend it was Spring . . . and we almost believed it.
