Soccer mom

Benson and Griffin have worked really hard the last several months to earn money to play soccer.  It costs a whopping $45.00 bucks a piece to play and so I decided they should earn that money themselves and I would buy their shin guards and jerseys and cute matching water bottles and soccer balls.  The boys had to do jobs for me every day including: cleaning up their toys, making their beds (let's be honest, bed, they almost always sleep together), cleaning the toilets, washing the mirrors, taking out garbage's and lots of diapers, putting their clothes away, folding towels and napkins and they had to do all of these WITHOUT COMPLAINING!  I am not going to lie, they actually did surprisingly well and don't really complain when they know they are earning money for something they love.  They wrote their names on a giant piece of paper and then used scissors to cut a million or so slits along the side and then got to pull the pieces of and put them in a jar for each job they did. (Don't be shocked by our crafty skills, I was not blessed with the craft gene). I think all in all they each did 100 or so little chores!

The boys actually play on the same team since they are both Pre-K and they are called the Dragons.

Griffin is one of the youngest little guys on the team.  He is super interested in keeping score and picking his nose while playing.  This week he accidentally scored a goal.  He was so excited that he even did a somersault.  The only thing I care about is not whining or bawling while playing, so he is doing pretty swell in my book.

Like my pile of crap in the corner in this pic?  Woops.  Benson is the oldest player on his team.  He is a good little player who runs fast and one of the only kids who mildly understand what defense is.  He is pretty good to score a goal or more every game.  He never wants to sit out (a rarity amongst the little tikes) which means he generally plays a lot.  Basically I am a pretty proud mama watching this little guy, even if them playing soccer is not a lifelong goal I have for them.  Have I mentioned my husband hates soccer?

Leo, being the ball obsessed child that he is, is very bothered that he cannot play on the team.  He  does like to sit on the sidelines though and give high fives to all of the parents and occasionally walk out on the field to play.

Aside from their games being in the middle of the day on Saturday, I love having them involved in something.  They love it too!  My mother tells me I should prepare myself for a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines freezing to death watching my boys play sports.  I think she may be right.

Uh...I am pregnant

Our fourth little cutie pie will hopefully make his/her debut sometime around Thanksgiving and my 30th birthday this year.  Life is good.

P.S. Don't be jealous if you don't look as awesome as I do.  Haha.
