MATSON LINE s.s. LURLINE in Hawaii

The Matson Line s.s. LURLINE docking in Hawaii. She entered service in 1933 and was sold in 1963 to Chandris Lines as a replacement to the BRITTANY ex-BRETAGNE on the Europe - Australia service following an extensive refit and modernization on the river Tyne. In 1971 she was joined by sister ship BRITANIS ex LURLINE (IV) ex MATSONIA ex MONTEREY, but the BRITANIS refit was not so extensive as the one of the ELLINIS.
