~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deciding not to return home to the Philippines to take part in my high school batch's silver jubilee was not an easy thing to do. But sometimes we have to make some not so easy choices for practical reasons. Admittedly, financial reason played a big part in that decision. I just feel [& think?] that given the circumstances [and yes, I mean the present state of the economy], it will be for the best if we postpone a trip back to the Philippines for another time. It would have a great vacation but there's always a next time...I hope. We still want to go on a family vacation though. We just have to find a place where we won't have to spend as much. It would be nice to relax in one of those hotels in acapulco with the husband and the little one. I've never been to Mexico. Hubby went last year but only for a business meeting. He actually went to Texas then went to Mexico then crossed the border. Not a vacation definitely so yes, we can definit...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This year has been challenging to a lot of people…us included, of course. Our plan of going to the Philippines to visit loved ones at the end of this year will not happen. We have to prioritize in order to survive in this dwindling economy and travel is at the bottom of that priority list. I already told some of my high school classmates that I won’t be able to make to make it to our silver jubilee. Maybe next year we'll be able to attend... Now, if money is not an issue, aside from visiting the Philippines, I would also like to visit some other places like New Zealand and some parts of Europe some day. I was supposed to visit friends in Europe in 2001 but I ended up getting married and moved here in the US instead. If visiting friends is my reason for going to Europe, New Zealand on the other hand just fascinates me because I had co-teachers before who were from NZ and they just couldn’t stop talking about their country. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beautiful day here again today. The sun is out and it's probably in the lower 70s right now. The little one and I will probably head out the backyard in a bit so she can play for a while. It will probably be too hot to do that in the afternoon so I'll let her play this morning and we'll do her school work in the afternoon. The husband is on a business trip today. He left early in the morning to catch a flight and he will be catching a flight back home tonight. It's a round-trip since he's only going to North Carolina. He already called us a few minutes ago to let us know he made it safe and sound. Last time he went there, he also flew back home the same day. That time I packed him some clothes just in case he may need to stay overnight. He didn't want me to do that this time because he has no intentions of staying overnight. He has another trip coming up in a few weeks to San Diego. For that trip, I'm sure he will need to boo...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The first time I went to Vegas was in 1999. Well, that was also the last time. I had fun though because I went there with close friends whom I had not seen in years. I am not big on gambling though so when I went there I just enjoyed the Vegas hotel we booked. I heard a lot of things about hotels in Vegas like being over the top and such. Boy was I not let down. We rented the suite which was on the topmost floor and enjoyed the full view of Vegas baby. I still have plans in going back there one day I’m just not sure when.
