So, for the Weird War games I have started work on a second Patriot figure.
Crossover Miniatures Super Soldier, Westwind SHS US head in a helmet and a Hasslefree Hoplite shield.

Some Assembly Required - A.G.E.N.T.S. and Lawyers
Originally I used a Copplestone Castings' Corporate Babes figure for the Fearless Lawyer's assistant. However Heresy Miniatures' Emily Lake figure looked a better bet.
And here they are ready to fight the Good Fight.
Here is Chloe, as seen in series two and three of A.G.E.N.T.S.
Hasslefree Ekaterina figure.

Police Special Response Unit.
Crossover Miniatures do Cops (and a Cop leader) with US style helmets, and the Riverhorse Games Terminator Genisys game has an option for SWAT characters, so I thought I would combine the two.
The Cops and Cops Leader from Crossover Miniatures with the new William Killan for scale. They are based on Warlord Games lipped 25mm bases (Killan uses a standard flat base) but the Crossover Miniatures figures have moulded on bases. The Cop Leader has had an MP5 (Hasslefree) and strap added.
The figures have Vallejo US Dark Green coveralls, body armour and helmet is Vallejo Black Grey. Shirt cuffs are Vallejo Field Blue. The coveralls have received a Citadel Camoshade wash, the faces and hands shaded with Citadel Reikland Fleshshade.
Here they are facing off against a relentless enemy.

You know it makes sense… *
A Super Villain, maybe commanding some Mk2 Argonauts.
Crossover Miniatures Doctor E. Vil, rebased on a 30mm lipped base.
Undercoat of Citadel Chaos Black spray, tidied with Vallejo black. Sort of dry brushed Citadel Boltgun Metal. Cape is Army Painter Greenskin shaded with a mix of the above and Citadel Incubi Darkness.

Fearless lawyer
Two newly qualified lawyers (Charlie and Ryan) and their assistant (Deborah) fight for justice both in the court room and in one of their cases, as a masked vigilante.
Charlie.
Charlie and Deborah.
Charlie and Ayelet, Queen Of Clubs and the Big Bad's partner and lover.
Charlie is a Crossover Miniatures Defender, Deborah is a Copplestone Corporate Babe, and Ayelet is Rae from Hasslefree.

Some Assembly Required (Part 3)
Charles Connor was a brilliant scientist who unfortunately found COSHH rather limiting.

Crossover - Crooked Dice Crossover
There was a question on the Nexus Miniatures forum about the sizes of Crossover Miniatures Super Heroes figures and mine (and many others) default size for "28mm" figures which are the Crooked Dice range.
So here is a comparison picture (and two sneak previews of Assembly Required figures).
From the left, a work in progress Crossover Paramilitary Goon with Strike Team head.
Next a work in progress Crooked Dice X-Commando, followed by the Crossover Super Soldier. The fourth figure is a slightly converted classic Pandora King and the last figure is the Crossover Hoplite.
The main problem with the Crossover miniatures is their integral base. This needs to be removed with careful use of a razor saw.
I am going to do version of the Super Soldier for Weird War II, which means I will not need to remove the base (30mm lipped base should hide the metal base).

Some Assembly required (part one)
At Warfare I bought three Crossover Miniatures figures from (I think) Pendraken.
The first figure completed (nearly) is their Super Soldier.
The Patriot was an attempt by a British television company to produce a Costumed Hero series for the American market. Utilising a mixture of Canadian and American actors (and some dodgy accented British actors).
The patriot was the story of an American covert military unit, lead by the titular "Patriot" in his not very covert costume, in their operations against all manner of enemies.
By reusing story lines, locations and in some cases parallel filming, the series was produced cheaply even though there was a lot of European location work. Unfortunately it was not very successful, being shown only once in the US.
