More Scenery For WWX

So a couple of pieces of scenery for Western gaming Wild West Exodus in particular.

The first is a couple of Cacti from the TTCombat Western Accessories pack.
They are on a laser cut Products For Wargamers  Scatter Terrain MDF base (the edges of which were filed to a slope).  Woodland Scenics fine ballast over PVA plus two left over bits of Greenstuff for rocks.
Another piece of terrain, this time a rock cube - natural or manufactured for nefarious motives - you decide.
Games Workshop 60mm flat base with a cube of plastic card covered with Milliput.
It offers some hard cover on the battlefield.

Wild West Exodus - Wyatt Earp

Wyatt Earp from the Wild West Exodus: Gunfight at Red Oak starter set.
Far too many straps and things.
The shield and rifle still needs some work.

Wild West Exodus - Jesse James

Wild West Exodus is a Steampunk/Magical variant of the Wild West, mixing real historical characters (some slightly obfuscated) with aliens and magic.

Beyond watching the films, I know very little about the history of the "Old West", but most of it is not pleasant.

However this is fiction, so on with the figures.

I bought the "Gunfight at Red Oak" starter set at Salute, earlier I have shown the "finished" figures of Doc Holliday and Frank James.

This is the WWX figure of Jesse James armed with two pistols that cannot decide whether they are revolvers or automatics. Jesse also appears to have two bionic arms. There is probably a story about that.
The WWX figures are large, I measured the Doc Holliday figure, he is about 38mm tall.
I might run another shade/wash over his hair.
This was not an easy figure to paint, the posture is difficult, no idea on the colour scheme and the face is almost entirely obscured.
I do like the effect on the cape.
A small part of the James gang, Jesse with his brother Frank.

Wild West Exodus - K9 Gun Dogs Automata

I have finally assembled the K9 Gun Dog Automata from the Gunfight at Red Oak starter set.

Each has two heads each but there are only three weapon options between the two figures (not shown).

Dog one.

Dog two.

All four dogs with Doc Holliday.

Wild West Exodus - Gunfight At Red Oak Starter Set: Frank James

So I have finished the second human figure from the Gunfight at Red Oak starter set, Frank James.
He is armed with a rifle called Sophie.
Like Doc Holliday, he is classed as a "Face", a named individual able to act on his own.  Unlike Doc, he can be upgraded to a Boss in his own right.
Painting straps is not fun.
 Things look bad for Doc!
A scale comparison, William looks positively tiny, the tall bases do not help.

Wild West Exodus - Gunfight At Red Oak Starter Set: Doc Holliday

So, finally I have completed one of the Wild West Exodus figures, the Lawman "Face" Doc Holliday.
He is definitely the easiest figure to paint, the others have more straps than Ann Summers.

Here he is with the two K9 Attack Dog automata from the starter set.

Wild West Exodus - Gunfight At Red Oak Starter Set unboxing

At Salute I bought the Wild West Exodus : Gunfight At Red Oak Starter Set.

It is a hefty (813 grammes) if small box.
The contents are quite densely packed.
The box contains ten multipart plastic kits on three sprues.

The main sprue has six figures on it, two foot figures and one bike for both sides.

There is one box of Action and Adventure cards, four dice, equipment and character cards and special bases.
As you can see the bases are very tall.
119 page Rulebook and a template.
 Condition tokens (and a ruler).
First figure off the sprue (yes, the legs are the wrong way round).
Jesse James (Outlaw).
By Yan Lo's Beard! two part heads are standard for these figures.
 Wyatt Earp (Lawman).
Doc Holliday (Lawman).
Frank James (Outlaw).
