Honestly, there were times that I was a little overwhelmed at how some of the story overlapped and doubled back. You really have to pay attention to make sure you don't miss any little detail or you will be left wonder what the hell you missed.
By the end of the book, I felt like I had been on a REALLY long rollercoaster ride. Kind of ready to get off of it, but still enjoyed the ride. I still would highly recommend this book and this series. It was an intriguing storyline and most of the characters were very likeable.
The voice actors did an amazing job on this one. I was immediately drawn in and immersed with the quality of their voices for the characters....more

This is defiAn interesting insight into what happens after the honeymoon period is over and a couple has grown comfortable within their relationship. This is definitely a rare trope amongst the romance community and I'm here for it. It's fun to read the "falling in love" trope, speaking broadly. However, it's absolutely refreshing to read about a couple who may (or may not) mirror your own life. Older age, kids, house, jobs, etc. Kudos, Daisy!
Jess has, what she thinks, is the perfect life. Her husband, Lawson, is her dream partner. She has amazing kiddos. All the things in her life seem to be just right. She's kind of thrown for a loop when she discovers Lawson in an intimate moment and, aside from being confused, she's incredibly turned on.
Lawson does explain fully on why he kept his desires silent. The communication between these two is open and honest. Jess lets him know that she would be glad to explore this desires with him, and they're off with blazing trails.
Some of the kinks in this book are not my jam, however, they are written correctly and always with consent. Jess and Lawson are a good example at how open communication can open so many doors within a stable relationship. Maybe you want to try something and then it turns out that ehhh…that wasn't great. Maybe you do try something and it's awesome but fumbling. Education is available and they made use of it. As I said previously, very well written and obviously researched.

The emotional wringer that I went through at their reunion was intense. The pain and heartache that being apart had caused, then you add in the fact that Tia is in love with his brothers as well, it's just a whole cauldron of angst.
I have some issues with this one, sadly.
I absolutely cannot…CANNOT stand Jace/Rage. Hate. Loathe. Just no. He went from being a Dom to being just a straight up abusive wanker. Like, WHY?! They way he treated Tia would have sent me running for the hills with a restraining order in real quick fashion. Yes, I know, it's supposed to be fantasy, but as much as I like my rough Alphas, this was not it. Also, the way he was so quick to judge Tia? Again, WHY!? Is communication that difficult?
Cole and Lucas were just…off. It was almost like I was reading a different storyline honestly. Cole had faded into the background for some reason. Lucas had lost his previous characteristics (i.e. tics, shyness, aversion to touch, etc) Who is this Lucas? I'm confused.
Then the ending. ~sigh~ It's like the pages were left flapping in the breeze. So much was left undone. I just don't get it. The framework was all there and then it was like someone put a tarp over it instead of building a house.

Tia and her guys are scorching hot!
Tia really is a lost girl until she meets Cole. She had her heart broken in the worst way 5 years prior and he is the first guy who seems to be able to breach the walls that she's carefully constructed.
Cole is your typical player and suddenly he became all Tia's overnight (which I thought was a bit weird, but whatever). He will give his all to Tia, but he comes as a package deal with his "brothers", Lucas and Rage.
This is book one in a duet and ends on a pretty emotional cliffhanger.

Hudson's father found out that he is gay and has beat him so severely that he's barely functioning and has a broken ankle.
Fast forward 13 years. Now known as Noah, Hudson has lived a life of constantly looking over his shoulder. Moving on when things get too comfortable. He's been in Hanover now for 6 years and he fears that it's been too long. A fear that seems to be cemented when a familiar face from his past shows up in his diner. Tyler's father, Ezra, who is now a temporary professor at the local University.
Honestly, while the fear that Noah feels is almost palpable, I never really understood why. Ok, back up. I know WHY, but why for so long? I mean, he's a grown burly guy now. Why is he still so afraid of his father? We don't really get that full background on who his father is, other than his father had hired a PI at one point.
Anyway, I loved the way that the relationship between Noah and Ezra developed. They were respectful of each other, discussing boundaries, preferences and kinks. They expressed their affection through food. Even though there was a great age gap (25 years) between them, I really didn't feel like it made that much of a difference. In a sense, it felt like they were meant to be, not just that they fell in love.

I have LOVED Miller's character through the first 2 books and was so excited for him to finally get his book.
Miller grew up in a commune and is pretty unaware about how the world and how "outsiders" work. He's had to learn a lot on his own, but his found family at Wrench Kings and in Oakcreek have helped him a lot. He still is profoundly clueless when it comes to romance though.
Delane is the sassy, perpetually listening to an audiobook desk clerk at Wrench Kings. She figures out Miller's issues and comes up with a plan. He helps her learn to repair cars, she helps him in the romance department.
It's likely that those who are fans of the D/s lifestyle or like reading about those types of relationship will enjoy this. Delane takes on the Femdom role to Miller's submissive. It seemed to be on the mid side to me but I am not a fan of this type of relationship to read about. A bit on the OTT side you may venture to say. I wish that Miller's story hadn't taken this route, but I'm not the author, just the reader.
Now, the actual relationship part is phenomenally written. The vulnerability that the characters allow themselves to show is admirable. I do think that they are well matched. A story of letting go in order to find yourself with the help of someone else, with a heaping side of BDSM.

Levy is a beta warlock rabbit shifter who works in his family's bakery and doesn't want to really do anything else. It's a safe place. Sadly, his mother has other plans and sends him off to a place called Graves Academy where he sees a familiar face in his calculus professor, Jun.
Levy doesn't take kindly to his nest being invaded by Eliot when he starts working at the Magi to take over the shifts that Levy had to drop in order to attend the Academy. Eliot is a dog shifter, an amazing baker, and apparently Levy's mate.
This book certainly was a trip for me. Lots of twists and turns. A steep learning curve for those of us who aren't familiar with the Omegaverse, however it was a REALLY good book. I plan on continuing the series as it comes out.

Riley has found herself homeless, penniless and now without a Daddy. All three are terrifying for her. Being a Little, she's definitely not used to fending for herself like this. Quite literally sleeping on the streets, dumpster diving, and stealing clothes. She did some questionable things with a truck driver to get a ride to a sleepy mountain town, but now she's stuck.
She caught the eye of a Lumbersnack while she was in the diner, warming up with a cup of coffee. Sad he was too young for her tastes. She likes her Daddy to be older. After she's chased out of the diner, he finds her hiding by the dumpster. Turns out he's a Daddy. Well then! He takes her home with him, and there she meets his Dad and brothers. It's quickly decided that she can't stay there, so they take her to a neighbor who is right up Riley's alley in the Daddy department.
Daddy Niklaus is the perfect fit for Riley. He has a firm hand and knows just how to keep her bratty little self in check. It's a real treat watching the relationship develop between the two of them.
I'm gonna be honest here. I absolutely struggled with this book. It felt like there were two plotlines going on and I was pretty confused at times.
AveI'm gonna be honest here. I absolutely struggled with this book. It felt like there were two plotlines going on and I was pretty confused at times.
Avery calls herself a Sugar Baby. She's not, she's an escort. Escorts are paid for their services. Sugar Babies are gifted (materially and/or monetarily) while IN A RELATIONSHIP with their Sugar Daddy. It's a very different dynamic. So there's that issue.
She is very set in her ways, to the point of almost an obsession. She claims to only be doing the "sugar baby" (just roll with it) thing to put herself through college and then that's it. Ok, I can jive with that. She's a straight up cold-hearted ergh…nevermind, to nearly everyone she comes in contact with, except for Daddy Micah, in this book.
Where I got completely lost is when we were swept back in time through a flashback, to a time when she was a senior in high school. She is all of a sudden a Domme, and had been with Gavin more than a few times in this manner? WTF? How do you get that sort of experience at that age? Avery's outlook on sex is just bizarre to me. It's so…mechanical, I suppose. Her words and actions during a scene are so flat. In the "bedroom" scenes with Noah where she is supposed to be dominating him, she comes across as just OTT b!tchy or bratty instead of truly dominant. It's just weird.
Noah is just not it. How did we go from, "Hi, I'm your neighbor" to "You're mine and I'm going to make you date me" in like 5 minutes? I got whiplash, no joke. He constantly degrades her, calling her a b!tch, etc. The toxicity between Avery and Noah was just too vast for me to get over, and I'm all for some dark romance. I just about lost my mind with the truck scene. If ever I did DNF a book, it would be something like that. Yet, I pushed on.
I have nothing against FemDom. What I do have issues with is making her character so cold that no one would want to be around her even when she's not in scene. I also take issue with anyone degrading someone for having a non-traditional profession, especially when they claim to want to date them. Ahem, Noah.
I did listen to this in audiobook format. It was narrated by Lucinda Gainey. I did find that the narrator did not fit the characters in my mind. Her voice is too mature for Avery's age. It created a vast mismatch in my mind, which made it very hard to listen to. Ms. Gainey does have a very smooth narrating voice and does perform well, she just was not suited for this character.

It was like nothing I’ve ever read before. I mean sure, I’ve read all sorts of paranormal books with vamps, werewolves, etc., but this is a whole different kind of trope with the Navajo lore woven in. Being that I’m not of Navajo lineage, I don’t know those stories. I was absolutely enthralled.
The twins seem like a representation of light and dark to me. The sweet and submissive twin vs the sassy and bold twin.
There is so much female empowerment in this first book that I’m left wondering how the second book will play out. Will it be balanced out or will it be a totally girl power duet? The fae, witches, vamps, wolven all play a big part in this story and I’m excited to follow the story on.
Fair warning: this is a Why Choose novella. There are scenes of MF, MFMF, MFFFM, and so on. It can be a lot, but it’s VERY spicy! There are somehow fated mates within this pretzel of a dynamic.

Owen iBad for a Weekend is part of a multi-author standalone series called Blurred Lines. This book is a bodyguard, age gap, forced proximity romance.
Owen is our MMC in this book and mercy is he all kinds of dominant yum! He's going through some serious trauma after suffering through an event in his life that changed everything for him. He now finds himself trying to pick up the pieces of his life while slogging through therapy (he is not a fan), and taking on a new job.
Baylor is our FMC and Hollywood royalty, so to speak. She's the daughter of a famous actor. She's the survivor of a kidnapping and finds herself with a new bodyguard. Mmhmm, you guessed it. Owen.
The "best" part about their being together is that they are both suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and PTSD, so they have something in common right from the start. It's ridiculous to say that's a good thing but sometimes when you're suffering from those types of things (speaking from experience) it's better to have someone who knows what you're going through.
The teasing, the push & pull, the simmering sexual tension was off the charts!! I mean…WHAT?! I was dying reading this book! HOT HOT HOT! Baylor even brings the sunshine into the bedroom for our grumpy ass hero. That's not all though! Oh no! We get some Dom and bratty girl going on, and I was all kinds of there for it.

The storyline was deep and luxurious, even though it was a stalker romance. There was nothing about Aero that didn't hold meaning.
Aero is everything a romantic stalker should be. Aero is terrifyingly obsessive. He's a psychopath, manipulative, cunning, calculating, yet only has eyes for his prey. Briony is his world, his Queen. He is determined to make Briony see the dark side of the church that she is so blinded by. I loved that Aero left the cake crumbs for Briony to figure things out on her own instead of just shoving it in her face. It tends to mean more at that point.
Briony is making her way through the ranks in the church. She's brilliant, fierce, has very high aspirations for herself and is somewhat of an overachiever. Watching her transform was like watching a butterfly emerge. It was breathtaking.

I found it to be a inky dark WC story. One thing, for me, this is not a taboo story. It should be labeled something akin to taboo adjacent. The TW/CW I found it to be a inky dark WC story. One thing, for me, this is not a taboo story. It should be labeled something akin to taboo adjacent. The TW/CW are THICK in this one, so make sure you check them before you dive in. No joke.
As much as I tried, I just couldn't make this book work for me. It was sort of like reading a story on fractured glass. However, it does have some pretty redeeming qualities. The author did manage to make me feel for Mae, in as far as her brokenness. Mae's mental health was a big thread in this storyline for me, so emotional and mental void was relatable. She also had some sass to her, so I liked that.
There is not a lot of spice going on in the group department. The spice otherwise is great. I don't know. It feels so disjointed that it has all the parts to be a WC story, especially a taboo one, but it just didn't get there. I needed more filled out characters. Oh, and there is no traditional HEA in this book. Just a heads up. However, there is a download that may give you what you're looking for.

LOL There's a whole lot of spice and a fair amount of plot. Mia and Nolan have something in common that both of their partners died. Mia is a single mom, just dipping her toes into the dating pool. Nolan is ready to go all in and restart his life.
In some ways I identified with Mia. After becoming a Mom, I kind of lost a lot of my sexual identity. Mia struggles a LOT with that. Nolan makes it his primary goal to coax that back out of her. Nolan is an extremely understanding and gentle man, but in the bedroom he is a seasoned Dom with some wicked skills in Shibari.
This book is a bit outside of my usual realm of reading. It is a BDSM (D/s dynamic that evolves) story, starting out with basic honorifics of Master/Sir and ending with Daddy. The epilogue wraps everything up for a super HEA, but be forewarned there is a pregnancy.

GLAM aka Austin is our titled MMC and he is pretty much taking the world by storm. Looking past what was on the page, I saw so much pain in him. Pain, betrayal and the need to hurt everyone until the hurt inside him went away. Unfortunately, it wasn't working.
Rage aka Chase is the other MMC and he has been doing everything he can to right the wrong that blew apart his world 10 years ago. He finally has the chance to at least see Austin, but the meeting doesn't exactly go as planned.
