There's some definite TW's in this one that were HARD for me to get through. As someone who has been through very similar situations (IYKYK) the tears were a river that just would NOT quit. With each new Bride I find something about her that I deeply connect with. Delora was the first one that I felt was the realest for me. Now Emerie is like that too.
I love the clueless, almost innocent Duskwalkers. They just snatch my heart right away. Ingram had me in stitches at times with his realness. He shocked me to my toes with his purple orbs though!!! Just WHOA! Ingram is one very very spiceh boy!
We do find out more about other Duskwalkers, the Owl Witch, and even Fyodor so hold on to your seats!

Second, my library of paranormal books is pretty slim as well. So, that being said, having both tropes in one book was a bit out of my wheelhouse. However, I was ready for it.
I found the characters to be on their way to being well fleshed out. I know that this is a series starter so they still have time for growth. The story foundation is good and solid, so there is a lot that can be built on.
What I did find hard to connect with is that so much of the book was internal monologues and not a lot of actual interaction between characters. I would have preferred more talking/interaction between characters than hearing what's going on inside their head.
The spicy parts were definitely spicy. No lacking there!
I'm looking forward to seeing where this series takes the characters and the story.

I stumbled into AG wide eyed and excited to experience a new world. Let me tell you, I was never once disappointed. I laughed. I cried. I overheated. I raged. Most of all, I found a family that I loved so much. Kat is an incredible storyteller with webs intricately woven like that of the most beautiful spider. Meant to attract and meant to ensnare.
I couldn't even choose a favorite of the four Halloween Boys. The anticipation for Devil/Judas' story has been intense for sure. Picking up his breadcrumbs through the previous three books has been tantalizing and delightful. The forced proximity between Devil and Blythe leans far into making them stop and just BE with each other instead of catching fleeting moments. Yes, this is INTENSE but honestly, did you expect anything else from him?
Raven has a bigger and more frequent part in this book and I'm here for it. He's my absolute favorite side character. The snark, the fierce loyalty. He's the BFF anyone would want and we're all probably super jealous that we don't have.
This is definitely a series that is going on my re-read shelf forever. I'll never tire of it and will always recommend it.
This is my first Sapphic romance but honestly I'd read just about anything that Kat writes, so I was down to try it.

Right off the start I was rooting for Poesy because no one deserves to be bought and/or sold for any reason, ever. When she bolted from her husband-to-be into Lady Venom's forest, hope bloomed.
Poesy definitely has character growth in this story, as does Lady Venom. Not what I was expecting in a novella, honestly. Usually they're short and sweet, just enough of something to whet your whistle, ya know? However, this one manages to pack enough in so that you can see that growth, passion and HEA.

How…HOW?!...do I write a good review without giving away spoilers on this freaking epic installment of The Halloween Boys?!! Not taking away from the How…HOW?!...do I write a good review without giving away spoilers on this freaking epic installment of The Halloween Boys?!! Not taking away from the first two books in the series, which certainly hold their own in the epic department, but holy O_O!
I've had at thing for Wolfgang since book one, honestly. He's just that cinnamon roll book boyfriend that hits me right in the feels. Now that I had him for a WHOLE book, I was in some sort of heaven. The relationship development between Wolf and Blythe was superb. The character development for Wolf himself was beyond outstanding and gave so much insight into the whole pack dynamic.
There was breath-stealing, heart-pounding, Kindle-tossing, cover-your-eyes then peek moments throughout the ENTIRE book that involved the foursome of Blythe, Wolf, Onyx, and Ames. Of course, Devil had to make his rando appearances.
Fair warning, the ending will leave you gasping for air and absolutely choking on words. I cannot wait for Devil's story. I mean that with every fiber of my being. This series has had me in its claws since book one and the grip just gets tighter and tighter with each new book.
