Journalist Liliana Edwards was on the cusp of an exposé on The Brethren, but they were one move ahead. Magnus Blake, a ruthless Brethren Lord, claimed her freedom as his plaything. She vowed to fight until her last breath, but nothing could prepare for what lay ahead.
This book satisfied my dark needs. The story was intriguing, and I liked how the other Blake brothers were woven into the plot without overshadowing the main story. However, I thought it lacked background on the Brethren.
I don’t want his attention, I don’t want his touch, and yet I crave it as if nothing in this world could ever compare.
I loved how Liliana fought as much and as far as she could, and I liked how Magnus stayed true to himself. I also appreciated the fact that it took a while for the relationship to evolve in a natural way.
Deviant is a story of tenacity, power, and ambition. It would appeal to readers who enjoy secret society dark romance.

A mother’s love knew no bounds. Living deep in the hills, a woman and her son survived off the land, bound to their home and way of life. She would stop at nothing to protect it.
This book had so much potential, but it tried to do too much in too few pages. I loved the dynamics between Momma, Animal and Chloe. It would be good to have more depth on that instead of just bits and pieces of them and other side characters. In terms of horror, the story delivered with some stomach-churning scenes.
He will not make my son feel like a freak. I pick up a large rock, lift it above my head, and smack him hard on the back of the skull with it.

Emily Shore wanted a normal life, but being marked as Cohen Michaels' target was about to throw her onto a path she never saw coming.
In the beginning, I felt the flow was a little off. Even though there were things that were not answered, the story ended up being interesting with intriguing characters.
“You’re so fucking full of yourself.” “So were you. So very full of me. Not all that long ago either. Is that your problem right now? You need to be full of me again.”
I liked how Emily was not a damsel in distress. She had fiery streaks even though at times it turned out negatively for her. Cohen was determined and unapologetic, the way I like my heroes. The dynamics between all the characters captured my curiosity.

Mina Greene grew up in a strict household led by her father, Logan, that upheld the notion of family love. But protecting her family could come at a cost she was not willing to pay.
Though the storyline was typical of the Inferno world plot, I enjoyed the author’s take on the characters. Logan lived up to the dark legacy of his family name, and some of his actions were sickening. I liked the dynamic between Mina and her mother, and would have liked seeing more of that.

As the daughter of a notorious serial killer, Selene Hayes had a legacy to uphold. Together with Onyx Davers, they lived by their own rules in order to satiate their dark desires. But their deadly streak could come to a crashing halt if they didn’t tread carefully.
Two unhinged characters are the kind of story that never failed to draw me in. Selene and Onyx were psychopaths who fueled each other's needs. While I didn't connect to them as much as I hoped, I did appreciate how they cared for one another in their own way.

Tessa had endured so much for so long, and I’m glad she finally took steps to change that, even if some moments felt a bit unrealistic. Gracin was alluring and protective in his own way.
Pain, I know how to deal with. This . . . whatever it is that he makes me feel is way more dangerous.
This book turned out better than what I expected it to be. The plot was interesting and the sexy scenes were scorching.

Journee is easily one of my favorite characters in the Inferno World. Her mind is a fascinating whirlwind of chaos, and I love how she stands out from the typical Greene woman. It adds excitement to the story by opening up possibilities.

Frankie Novak and the men survived the Alaskan wilderness, but nothing compared to assimilating back into the civilized world. As tension mounted, battling each other was the least of their problems when an external force was out to destroy them.
The story stirred up a myriad of emotions, especially anger towards a particular character whose emotional cruelty made me love my favorite even more. I liked the tension between the characters and how they had to learn the hard way even though at times I wanted to smack them in the head.
She would call me a caveman. But I’m more beast than man. I’m a predator. An animal. I’m hers.
While the book is on the longer side, the angst and intrigue kept me turning pages. However, a few corny scenes felt out of place given the overall tone. The sexual chemistry was palpable and I would have liked to see it pushed further. The best part of the book is towards the end with heart-thumping suspense.
Heart of Frost and Scars is a story of resilience and ingenuity. It would appeal to readers who enjoy action packed dark romantic suspense with reverse harem dynamics.

Wren Jacobson experienced evil firsthand at a young age. Being alone was her escape until Alex Harper walked into her life. They became each other's lifeline until their past came back to haunt them and threaten to tear down everything they had built.

This story pulled no punches from start to finish. A lot of things happened throughout the book that were sickeningly heartbreaking and rage-inducing.
It’s impossible not to feel for Wren and Alex. They were forced to endure what life hurled their way. There were also plenty of supporting characters with their own appeal.

Korey Spencer had bounced around foster homes too many times to count. His arrival at the Wrights, a prominent pastor family, already spelled trouble when he had his eye on their innocent daughter, Leah.
“Don’t worry about your sins—I’ll go to hell for the both of us.”
This story fell flat for me. The characters felt shallow, and their lack of chemistry made it hard to stay engaged. That said, the non-con elements did add a bit of intrigue.

Journalist Everlee (Ever) Adair had been intrigued by the tale of the Wild Man since she first heard about him. Determined to uncover the truth, she ventured into the wilderness, not realizing how profoundly it would change her life.
Despite her outdoorsy upbringing, Ever found herself surprisingly unprepared when left to her own devices. Her bad decisions landed her in trouble, but I liked how she cared when it mattered. Wild Man was endearing in his own way and I loved how he managed to survive all those years.
“Why can’t I hate you like I’m supposed to?”
The book started strong, but I felt it was quite repetitive in the middle. Thankfully, towards the end, the story became more exciting.

After patiently biding her time, Jocelyn Greene was ready to end it once and for all. But executing her plan might prove harder than expected.
This story was more devious and erotic than the previous book. There was one character I really want to see suffer, and it’s not who you might think.
But, behind those tired lines, inside those tired eyes, there’s something that we all have. The Greene fire burning like a quiet inferno. How we choose to use what he’s attempted to bestow on us is what discerns the men from the monsters.
Going into this book, I had a certain hope for the outcome. But I knew either way I’d be happy with it. However, considering this is the end of the series, I was hoping for a more impactful ending.

The years at Alabaster Penitentiary weren't so bad for Lexington (Luthor) Deon, except when it came to Warren (Ren) Xavier, who made it his mission to own Lex's heart. However, Ren's reputation might lead them nowhere.

I've loved Lex since book one and felt protective of him, especially given his concern for others' welfare. I appreciated that we get to see a different side of Ren with his vulnerabilities.
He’s my constant, no matter how crazy he makes me, and how much it sometimes kills to be around him, like his proximity is laced with toxic fumes.
The first half of the book felt slow, with unnecessary info already presented in previous books. The plot picked up after that, becoming truly engaging around the 70% mark. Fortunately, a lot happened after that point, taking some unexpected directions.

I’m just as fucked up as my dear brother, and I think that will always be the tether that holds us together.
Conceptually, this story would sate any dark and taboo needs. Unfortunately, it was sold short by the execution. I was attracted to the darkness level, but I found it hard to feel much for the scenes that were supposed to invoke something due to the lack of intensity in the story and the characters.
