"All-in-One Productivity, But Customization Can Be Overwhelming at First"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion has everything I need, from storing all my thoughts in one place to streamlining a process from start to finish, even emails. I also love being able to collaborate with colleagues and having a system that works with other company systems. My stress has been significantly reduced since using Notion, and I can't see myself using anything else for my job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

The downside is that Notion is so customizable it can be overwhelming to get started. I was able to purchase a template and use that with some modifications, but thinking about it I could easily have asked NotionAI to create exactly what I wanted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible and Beautiful Workspace, But Performance and Automation Need Improvement"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion’s greatest strength is its flexibility as an all-in-one workspace. It bridges structured and unstructured work seamlessly — notes, docs, tasks, databases, and knowledge management can coexist in one environment without forcing a rigid workflow. This adaptability empowers teams to design systems that match their thinking rather than adapting to the tool’s limitations.

The database architecture and relational properties are especially powerful, allowing Notion to function simultaneously as a lightweight CRM, content calendar, or project tracker. The integration between text and data views (tables, boards, timelines, etc.) creates a fluid experience that encourages documentation and transparency.

Finally, Notion’s aesthetic and UX polish — clean design, delightful micro-interactions, and community-driven templates — make it feel more like a creative canvas than a productivity app, which improves adoption and engagement across diverse teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Notion’s flexibility can sometimes come at the cost of scalability and performance. Large workspaces with complex databases often experience lag, slow syncing, and inconsistent search results. These issues become especially noticeable for enterprise users or teams managing large knowledge bases.

The platform also lacks robust automation and deeper integrations compared to specialized tools. While the API has improved, workflows that depend on dynamic triggers or real-time data sync (e.g., between Notion and CRMs or analytics platforms) still require external automation tools like Zapier or Make, which adds friction and cost.

Lastly, permission management and version control remain pain points for collaborative teams. Granular access controls are limited, and tracking historical edits or restoring prior states is less intuitive than in traditional document tools like Google Docs or Confluence. "Effortlessly Organized with Notion—Fun to Use, Though Integrations Could Improve"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion is incredibly easy and intuitive to use. If you were on Tumblr or myspace when you were younger, Notion is even easier. I use it for both personal and work life daily.

For personal use, I have a shared page with my partner, budgeting, traveling plans, and daily life tabs to keep me on track.

For work, we use it to help our clients stay on track with our processes. Since we work on a multi client basis, we've found it easy to stay organized in Notion. We give our clients q/a's to follow up in, meeting notes, timelines and other resources for them to review.

I'm the primary builder of all our Notion pages, so I'm very familiar with most things they offer. If you're willing to take some time to tweak things to make sure they're going to be useful to you, it's very easy to learn. I found it a lot of fun to make things as it's simplified and there's a lot of resources online. If you're not fond of building things from scratch, there's so many templates you can use and adjust.

Overall, I love Notion. I'm in it probably 10 hours a day, and love it all the same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Notion can be difficult for people that don't want to put a deep amount of effort into what they're creating. It can be easy to forget, similarly to daily journaling, it's something that you have to commit to.

For me personally, the only issue I have with Notion is lack of integrations for other systems we use specifically. Hubspot, SF, etc. But- it's not a no go for us and we still use it often enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI Assistant Reduces Tedious Tasks, But Task View Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Notion?

The AI assistant has been very helpful for not only finding content within Notion, but also performing tasks such as duplicating repeated sub-tasks when a new task for the same thing but a different customer is added — definitely reduces tedium! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

On the Tasks view, it would be nice to be able to expand multiple tasks at once, more seamlessly. Or at least, if you leave the page with certain tasks expanded to show their sub-tasks, they won't re-collapse all upon return to the page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Intuitive Organization of a Wide Variety of Information with Powerful AI"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion is one of the best ways I've found to organize information, particularly for a group of people to use. I like the database-first approach that gives me the flexibility of presenting the same information many ways across the workspace. I also like the attention to design -- it is very intuitive to work with. Finally, the text editor is also excellent -- the feature set is robust but it gets of your way to allow very fast input.

I also want to mention that their latest update with AI agents is a leap forward over chat windows. The ability to have a Master Prompt and a database of detailed prompts that I can direct the agent to works really well. The fact that I can pipe the output directly to my workspace, in whatever way I tell the AI to add it, has saved me huge amounts of time.

I use Notion more and more -- in both my own business and for other organizations I belong to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

It works really well, but a feature from a paradigmatic standpoint I do like Roam Research's more free-form "structure as you go" mentality for personal journaling, ideating and day planning. Notion requires more up-front planning about how to structure a workspace, but unlike Roam I have been able to successfully include non-technically savvy users in my Notion workspaces. "The Ultimate Academic Organizer and Writing Assistant"
What do you like best about Notion?

Honestly everything, Notion and Notion AI helps me stay organized and makes my coursework so much easier to manage. When I'm working on complex assignments like my WRT 120 working draft about indigent defense systems,Notion AI can quickly distill my ideas into concise summaries and find the perfect words to express what I'm trying to say. The organization tools in Notion combined with Notions AI ability to help me refine my arguments and find synonyms keeps everything and anything about my academic work structured and polished. It's like having a writing assistant and organizer in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Organization with Powerful AI, Minor Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Notion?

I appreciate how Notion brings everything together in a single, organized space. Whether I need to review product information or search for client testimonials, Notion keeps it all neatly stored and easily accessible. I also really like the AI feature, which allows me to quickly ask where something is. It searches across all of my organization's pages to provide the answer, which saves me a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

There isn’t much I dislike about Notion. The only issue I encountered was with ease of use at the start. However, I think that was more due to my own inexperience and needing to take the time to fully explore its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion as a wizard for students"
What do you like best about Notion?

the best thing about notion is obviously the crazy amount of features it has and also its UI/UX. I have been basically managing every aspect of my life on notion from past 1.5 years. from internship applications to health goals to assignment tracking to entrance exam preparation and even my mood journalling, notion has been my way to go! I even organise my daily planners, track my gym routine and basically head to toe of my life on notion. and how can I forget about my upsc preparation on notion. I have been able to organise and plan and structure every part of upsc exam on it starting from syllabus to plan to books to tests to quotes to YouTube videos everything. its features are so easily implemented and I cant go a single day without using notion!

the best thing is that I use notion to be updated in my current affairs. the feature of correlating two different elements at different pages gives me the proper system to organise my notes and keep them updated with current affairs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Notion has a crazy amount of features but I feel that what really lacks is a proper guide or a help desk that can easily help users and let them discover the already existing amazing features. Also, their colour scheme seems very pale. I would love if they add some amazing colour options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion AI: An all-in-one AI workspace that actually delivers"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion AI has become the central hub for everything I do — from managing complex projects to building living SOPs and knowledge bases for my team. The AI writing assistant is surprisingly intuitive; it helps me summarize long meeting notes, create action lists, and even generate polished updates that sound human, not robotic. The customization and automation potential are unmatched, especially when connecting Notion with tools like Google Sheets or Zapier. It feels like having a personal operations assistant built right into my workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

The only downside is that large workspaces with heavy databases can sometimes lag when using advanced filters or linked views. Also, integrating enterprise systems (like Google Workspace under company restrictions) can take a few extra steps. But once everything’s set up, it runs smooth and reliable. "Flexible and Feature-Rich, But Takes Time to Master"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion is very flexible and has a lot of use cases. It was also pretty quick to get in and get going with it. I also really like the AI features which allow me to transcribe and summarize notes. It automatically organizes the transcription alongside a summary (vs only summarizing without giving me the full transcript to reference). I wasn't sure how often I'd use it but I use it all the time now. I didn't think I'd use it at all for writing notes but it's slowly becoming my tool of choice for taking notes during meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

There is a bit of a learning curve to the interface. It's quick to set up but it's not quick to get going with it. I think this might just be a challenge with something that has a lot of customization and features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
