    Scams suck. And they are getting harder to detect every day. That’s why Android’s scam detection does more than just filter out obvious spam texts. When you opt into our new Enhanced Protection Mode in Google Messages, we’ll use Gemini models in our secure Private AI Compute space to analyze complex conversational patterns while keeping your data entirely encrypted and private. We also run Gemini Nano directly on your device to scan unfamiliar links in real time before you tap them, and automatically blackout sensitive fields like passwords and credit card screens if you happen to be sharing your screen. It’s one of the many ways we continue to help keep people safer on Android.
