D e a r R e c i p ie n t :
It is with great interest that I am applying for the position of Assistant Principal. I have an undergraduate degree in
Elementary Education, as well as an advanced graduate degree in the Art of Education. I am also working toward
an advanced graduate degree in Education Administration, with expected completion in May 2019. I am
enthusiastic and prepared to contribute the knowledge I have gained of the school system and curriculum to
maximize the student learning experience as well as be a leader and support to staff within my building.
With experience as an administrative intern, along with multiple programs and committees, working with students,
parents and staff, I have gained the ability to make difficult decisions and exceeded faculty goals through effective
communication both internally and externally. All of which has given me opportunities to help build a firm
commitment to student-centered learning.
You will find the enclosed resume covers past accomplishments and imperative skills in detail, but here is a
summary of what I have to offer your school:
Leadership Competence: The ability to promote the philosophy of the school program, provide team
building, promote multicultural awareness, gender sensitivity as well as racial and ethnic appreciation,
make informed and objective judgements, create an effect staff development plan and engage in continuing
professional development.
Administrative Competence: The talent to maintain a safe, respectful, positive, and effective learning
environment, evaluate staff performance, monitor financial procedures and record retention, and coordinate
communication throughout the building between student, parent, teacher, and administration.
I have an uncompromising view that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes
exploration and enhances student confidence. It is my belief that an educator should help make school enjoyable
and exciting. If students look forward to attending school they will want to learn!
I hope we can meet to discuss in detail how I can contribute to the goals and success of your school. Thank you for
your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you and the opportunity to BE EAST!
Sincerely,
R o s s B a ke r
