Engadget: The EU tells Google to give external AI assistants the same access to Android as Gemini has. “The European Commission has started proceedings to ensure Google complies with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in certain ways. Specifically, the European Union’s executive arm has told Google to grant third-party AI services the same level of access to Android that Gemini has.”

So I never really looked into it, but I guess Neocities is like... an indy place where people can post their own stuffs?

Anyway, it looks like Bing is blocking them from showing up in the search results. From what they're implying (neo), it looks like Bing is giving them one of those infuriating non-answers corpos love to hand out these days.

You know...

1) We confirm that your account is banned / you are banned

2) We will not reverse the ban.

3) We will not tell you why we did it.

4) But trust us, it was because 'policy violation.'

I've run into this sometimes too, like... I use a VPN and I've got myself banned from some shopping sites for ...you know, like... buying things and paying for them consistently.

Anyway I think I had a point, I dunno... I need more coffee. OH. Right. If you're using a Bing based search then you might be getting filtered results or something. So maybe look at other searches?

I use Kagi, but I bet a lot of people have recommends. Post in the comments (and if you know, tell us who they use to search!)

Thanks to @literalgrill for the head's up on Bing's trash behavior.

Am I to understand from this that SearXNG is in the process of becoming AI poisoned?

The last issue hasn't been active since 2023 but the 1st one has been active recently and the middle one last summer.

I’ve added a new tool to Stract Search, my implementation of the Stract search engine. StractSearch is free and free-of-advertising at https://searchtweaks.com/stract/ .

This new tool, Time & Title Explorer, takes advantage of the way dates appear in some Web pages, like this: […]

A screenshot showing an example of Time & Title Explorer's search results. Beneath the search form and the big green "Show Popular Words for All Years" button is a list of years from 2015 through 2022 showing the ten most popular title keywords for each year. (A couple of years, like 2015, don't have 10 keywords because they there were few results.) Underneath that list is a list of Stract results for "agrihood farm inurl:2022" showing a variety of news stories and blog posts.
