Post 483: Autumn CAS Card- Thankful (Inspiration for Craft Stamper Magazine's Take It Make It Challenge- October,2018)

Hi friends!!
Hope you are well.

Craft Stamper Magazine's Take It Make It Challenge for October is live. It is an "Anything Stamping Goes" challenge with beautiful prizes on offer and you could win the chance to Guest Design & be published in the magazine, so please read the rules and do link up your gorgeous creations :) To visit the Craft Stamper blog, please click HERE.

For the inspiration, I've created a Clean & Simple (CAS) card inspired by  the Autumn Season.

Here are a few photos of the card:

Synopsis of the Process:

I've used Neat & Tangled's Oaf leaf stamp here. Stamped the beautiful leaf and sentiment onto Canson Watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. Created an organic watercolor background using Gansai Tambi Watercolors. Made a few splatters and added a few Nuvo drops for dimension. The panel is matted in black with a scalloped rectangle die cut (using a Winnie & Walter die) and then foam mounted onto an A2 sized kraft card base.

Look forward to seeing your beautiful entries in Craft Stamper's TIMI challenge for October, all the details are on their blog, HERE

Thanks a lot for your precious time :)
Stay Blessed!

Post 307: Mixed Media Tag (Butterfly)

Hi friends !

Hows your weekend going ?

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Tag. This was part of my DT work for Bob n Betty. All the details can be found here. For this tag, I used snippets of pattern paper in the background & thread for texture. Then did watercoloring using zig markers. Texture paste was applied using the Itsy Bitsy Leaf Stencil. The butterfly was die cut using faux leather and the Cutplorations Flutter Zen 1 Layering Die. To bring out the texture in the leather, I rubbed on some green inka gold and it gave a wonderful shine. Gauze was added under the butterfly. The edges were darkened with black soot distress ink. In the end, a few green sequins were added for shine.

Here is a photo of the tag:

Here are a couple of close-up photos:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Cutplorations October Challenge (was inspired by the colors)- used a butterfly cutplorations die here.
Tagplorations October Challenge (fall theme- shown falling leaves)

Butterfly Challenge #87- Vertical (the papers, stenciled leaves & thread are all added vertically)

Thanks a lot for your time :)
Love reading your sweet comments.
Stay Blessed!

PS: I'm having a few giveaways to celebrate my first blog anniversary :) if you'd like to have a look, all the details are here. Thanks!

Post 209: CAS Christmas Card (white on white)

Hi Friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Christmas Card. The color scheme is white on white with a touch of red in the gem. The procedure was simple enough, it involved die cutting and adhering the respective die cuts to the card. I was happy to use some of my snippets of white cardstock for the die cutting. I really love the white on white look, I think it looks very elegant :) The sentiment reads "Peace Love Joy"

List of Supplies:

Cutplorations Die- Peace Love Joy Phrase Die
Cutplorations Die- Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangles Die
