Wish You Were Here Card (Jane's Doodles DT April Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

My third and last post today. If you missed previous two just scroll down or follow direct links here and here.

This weekend I'm sharing my Jane's Doodles spotlight projects that I made in March, April and May, but I didn't share them here on my blog yet. On Thursday I shared full list of projects that I'll be sharing (here). Today I'm sharing three cards, my April spotlights. :o)

Last one for today is CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Wish You Were Here Card. It was my spotlight project for Jane's Doodles on Monday, April 27th, 2020.  :o)

To make this card I CASEd (copy and share everything) a card that I created in February (here).  Super simple card with a pop of color (rainbow in this case). On my today's card I went with a different sentiment and a tiny difference on color scheme. :o)

For my card I used stamps from Jane's Doodles 'Cozy Up!' stamp set.

How I made my card ....

I stamped an armchair and a sentiment directly on a white top folded card base.

I colored only a blanket using Distress Inks and a Wink of Stella Brush. I pressed each ink pad on an acrylic block, picked up colors, one by one, with the Wink of Stella Brush and colored parts of the blanket in rainbow colors.

As a finishing touch I coated the blanket with the Clear Wink of Stella, to create even more shimmer, and my card was finished. :o)

Cards measurements: 89 mm x 121 m(3 1/2" x 4 3/4")

List of supplies:
  • Jane's Doodles 'Cozy Up!' stamp set
  • white cardstock paper
  • Ranger's Archival Ink, Jet Black
  • Tim's Holtz Distress Inks:
    • Festive Berries
    • Spiced Marmalade
    • Mustard Seed
    • Twisted Citron
    • Salty Ocean
    • Blueprint Sketch
    • Wilted Violet
  • ZIG Wink of Stella Brush (Gl. clear 999)
  • Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer
  • bone folder
  • acrylic block (102 mm x 102 mm)

And that would be all from me for today. Thank you for stopping by and your kind feedback. Enjoy and smile! :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), one layer, black and white with a pop of color, Get Well Soon Card. :o)

How I made my card ....

To make my card I used stamps from Jane's Doodles 'Cozy Up!' stamp set.

I stamped an armchair and a sentiment directly on a white top folded card base.

I wanted super simple card with a pop of color (rainbow in this case), so I colored only a blanket. I used Stabilo Fiber Tip Pens (markers) and a Wink of Stella Brush for coloring. I scribbled with markers on an acrylic block, picked up colors, one by one, with the Wink of Stella Brush and colored parts of the blanket in rainbow colors.

As a finishing touch I drew white lines on the blanket between each color with a white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my card turned out!! :o)
