Pretty in Pink... iStitch Mystery SAL finished

Todo en rosa, así es como al final terminé el costurero que he hecho gracias al Mystery SAL que gentilmente organizó Carol en su blog iStitch.

All in pink, this is how I finished the sewing-box I've done with the Mystery SAL kindly organized by Carol on her blog, iStitch.

La caja era originalmente para colgar las llaves, nunca la usé para ese propósito y sabía que algún día la utilizaría para algo que realmente me sirviera y no me equivoque; ha resultado excelente para hacer un pequeño costurero con todo lo necesario :).
The box was originally to hang up keys, I never used it for that purpose and knew that someday it would serve for something I really could use and I wasn't wrong, it turn out excellent as a small sewing box with everything you need :). 

Qué les puedo decir... ¡estoy encantada con mi costurero!!! El bordado está hecho 2/2 en lino de 36ct., los hilos son el 223 y 221 de DMC, el cojín lo hice con dos capas de manta bondeada forrada con el lino bordado.
What can I say?, I'm delighted with my sewing box! The embroidery is 2 / 2 on a 36ct linen, the threads are 223 and 221 from DMC.

En esta ocasión, quiero mostrarles las fabulosas muestras de afecto que he recibido por parte de mi querida amiga Graciela, quien se armó de paciencia frente a su máquina de coser y ha logrado hacer unos maravillosos regalos por mi cumpleaños.

On this occasion, I want to show you the fabulous presents I received from my dear friend Graciela, who armed herself with lots of patience in front of her sewing machine and has achieved some wonderful gifts for my birthday.

Además de todos los bellos regalos que ha hecho con todo cariño para mi, también agregó unas hermosas telas y un práctico tapete/plancha de corte que estoy impaciente por probar y que seguro hará más rápido el tedioso trabajo de cortar las telas... ¡Qué emoción, nunca he usado uno de estos, esperemos que me vaya bien :D!!!

Besides all the lovely gifts she has done with affection for me, she added some beautiful fabrics and a handy cutting mat that I'm eager to try, it surely will speed the tedious job of cutting the fabric ...How exciting, I've never used one of these, hopefully I will do it well :D!!!

La bolsa tipo cesta ha resultado muy práctica por su tamaño, ¡le cabe todo lo necesario y más!!!... ¡Me encantan el olor y color de las lavandas, así que el colorido y el bordado con el diseño de Lavender's Blue de Little House Needleworks es perfecto!!! :)


The basket -bag has been very practical for its size, it holds everything you need and more!... I love lavender's smell and color, so the colorful embroidery with the design Lavender's Blue from Little House Needleworks is perfect!!! :)

La bolsa antes mencionada contenía pequeños tesoros dentro de ella, como este lindo monedero, que a su vez guardaba el pequeño y maravilloso bolso a crochet que ven abajo... y por supuesto que el bolso tejido estaba lleno... ¿de qué???...

The bag before mentioned, was filled with small treasures, like this cute purse, which kept inside this wonderful and small crocheted pouch you see below... and of course, the crocheted bag was full with something... with what???...

Y por si no fuera suficiente, también recibí este hermoso almohadón donde puedo poner las tijeras y trae bordado el diseño "Roses Anciennes" de L' R de rien... ¡Qué bonitos colores, me encantó el detalle de la pequeña rosa y la puntilla tejida por la misma Graciela!!!... ojalá y algún día yo aprenda a tejer así, como ella ;).

And if that wasn't enough, I also got this beautiful cushion where I can put the scissors, it has the beatiful embroidery "Roses Anciennes", by L' R de rien ...What beautiful colors, I loved the little rose and the lovely crocheted lace made by Graciela!!!... hopefully, someday I will learn to knit like her ;).

Y ya que hablamos de rosas, ¡un hermoso ramo de rosas del jardín de Graciela, lucen estupendas!
And speaking of roses, a bouquet of roses from Graciela's garden, they look great!

¡Tengo un ángel!!! - I have an angel!!!

A María, la creadora de "Las Tildas de Arime" la conocí por casualidad. Un día me escribió para decirme que le gustaban mis creaciones y sólo por que si, ofreció enviarme unas telas Tilda. A todas nos encantan este tipo de detalles, sobretodo por el hecho de saber que alguien aprecia lo que haces con cariño. Hace unos días las telas llegaron a mis manos, pero a María no le bastaba con enviar la docena de hermosos fat quarters y agregó varios detalles hechos con mucho cariño por ella misma y varias cosas más. Las fotos les mostrarán mejor los bellos regalos de María...


I met María, the creator of "Las Tildas de Arime" by chance. One day she wrote to tell me that she liked my creations and just because, she offered to send me some Tilda fabrics. We all love this kind of details, mainly by the fact of knowing that someone appreciates what you do with love. A few days ago the fabrics came to my hands but, to María was not enough with the dozen of beautiful fat quarters that she send and added several details lovingly made ​​by her, among other things. También agregó una bolsita con lavanda, varios botones, una aplicación, una carpetita y cinta... ¡lo sé, es demasiado... y aún falta la cereza del pastel!!!... ;)
She also added a little bag of lavender, several buttons, an application, a little doily and a ribbon... I know, it is too much... and there is still the icing on the cake!!!... ;)

Y finalmente, ¿Por qué el título de este post?... ¡mi ángel Tilda! (la cereza del pastel), una maravilla hecha por las amorosas manos de María (quién es también un ángel).

María ya sabe lo agradecida que estoy con ella y lo mucho que aprecio su amistad y cariño. Ella no esperaba nada a cambio, pero camino hacia España ya va un pequeño gesto de mi gratitud que, al igual que ella, he hecho con todo cariño :)

Antes de irme, me gustaría decirles que tuve un pequeño problema en mi mano derecha (me lastimé la muñeca), ese ha sido el motivo por el cual no he estado muy presente en sus blogs y en el mio últimamente. Gracias a quienes se preocuparon y preguntaron, ya estoy mucho mejor y poniéndome al corriente de los proyectos que deje pendientes.

A great piece of beautiful gray linen, ... a lovely pair of scissors, you know that red is one of my favorite colours;)!!! It came too a heart shape box to "dress" at my taste..... and what's inside the box???...

I ♥ Red!!!

Quizá recuerden que hace ya unos meses terminé el bordado de mi "traveling stitcher" del cual no había tenido tiempo de hacer el terminado. Por fin, en todos mis ratos libres de la semana pasada, pude hacer este estuche para llevar mis trabajos de bordado.


You may recall that a few months ago I finished the embroidery of my "traveling stitcher."  Finally, in all my free time last week, I've been able to make this case to carry my embroidery work in progress.

La tela del exterior es de un vestido de lino que deshice ;)
The exterior fabric, is from a linen dress I undid ;)

El terminado lo hice basándome en el estuche de "broderie passion" que les mostré aquí, pero en este hice unos pequeños cambios. Lo hice en rojo porque es uno de mis colores favoritos... me gustan la mayoría de los colores, las únicas excepciones serían el azul rey y el dorado, son colores que nunca he utilizado ni me gustaría usar.


I did it based on the "broderie passion" case that I showed you here, but I made some small changes in this one. I made it in red because it is one of my favorite colours ... I like almost all colors, the only exceptions would be royal blue and gold, colours that I never used and I wouldn't like to use.

El cojín para las agujas  lo hice de acuerdo al bolsito que les mostré aquí.


I have made the cushion for the needles according to the little pouch I showed you here.

La mayoría de los bolsos que les he mostrado anteriormente, no los he usado. Casi todos los he guardado, algunos ya los he regalado y otro están destinados para ser enviados a algunas amigas... me estoy preparando mentalmente para darle uso a este nuevo estuche y no guardarlo en una caja :D.
Most bags and pouches that I've shown you before, I haven't used them. I have given some of them already and some are meant to be sent to some friends... I'm preparing myself mentally to give used to this new embroidery case and not keep it in a box: D.


Estas son las bolsas que utilizo a diario para mis trabajos en proceso y me encantan por ser sencillas y prácticas... ahora tengo que utilizar mi "traveling stitcher" también.
These are the pouches I use every day to my works in progress and I love them because they're simple and practical ... now I have to use my "traveling stitcher" as well.

Será difícil darle uso a mi nuevo estuche, pero tengo que hacerlo;).

¿Qué estoy haciendo? - What am I doing?

Para responder rápidamente les diré que tengo varios proyectos entre manos, como la mayoría de ustedes...

En primer lugar y antes que nada, quiero mostrar a ustedes y agradecer a Noemí el estupendo bastidor que llegó desde España a mis manos la semana pasada, también me envió un broche con la figura de un muñequito de gengibre pero olvidé hacer una foto:(. Este bastidor fue sorteado por Noemí hace unas semanas y ¡yo fui la afortunada ganadora!!! Mide 68x30 cms., esto les dará una idea del tamaño del cuadro que estoy haciendo. Es un detalle de "El Beso", de Gustav Klimt y lo comencé hace 2 o 3 años, ¡hace tanto tiempo que ya lo olvide!!!... En cuanto recibí el bastidor, monté la tela y ha quedado perfecta en el... por desgracia no recuerdo dónde guardé el gráfico, pero estoy buscándolo para continuar cuanto antes con este bordado. Sé que me llevará varios meses terminarlo, pero estoy decidida a acabar con este proyecto ya que esta pintura es una de mis favoritas.


First and foremost, I want to show you and thanks to Noemi for the wonderful embroidery frame that arrived last week from Spain to my hands, she also sent me a brooch with the figure of a ginger bread man but I forgot to take a picture: (.
I was the lucky winner in Noemi's giveaway a few weeks ago and this embroidery frame was the prize. It measures  68x30 cms., this will give you an idea of ​​the size of the picture I'm doing. Is a detail of "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt and I started it 2 or 3 years ago... so long ago that I forget !!!... As soon as I  received the frame, I put the fabric to it, it fits perfect ... unfortunately I don't remember where I put the chart, but I'm looking for it to continue with this embroidery. I know it will take me several months to finish it, but I am determined to finish this project because this painting is one of my favorites.

Some of you may recall that earlier this year Laura sent me some beautiful gifts, if you don't remember you can see it here. Among these presents it was the chart "Petits Bonheurs" from Madame la Fée. I started it a few days ago and so far I've only finished the top part.

Baby Toys...

Hice un par de juguetes para mi sobrinito (en realidad es hijo de una de mis sobrinas) quien cumplió su primer año la semana pasada y fueron parte del regalo de cumpleaños que le hice... Pude haberlos hecho mejor, pero creo que al bebé le gustaron y eso es lo que importa:).


I did a couple of toys for my little nephew (he's actually my niece's son) who celebrated his first birthday last week and were part of his birthday present... I could have made them better, but I think the baby liked them and that's what matters:).

El avioncito es un proyecto de un libro que tengo desde hace ya varios años, se podría decir que es un libro "vintage" ;). Aunque el libro tiene varios proyectos interesantes, este es el primero que hago. En la foto se ve la imagen del libro y del proyecto original. Le hice algunos cambios ya que el original es para niños mayores. El que yo hice no tiene llantas ni botones, para seguridad del bebé.


The little plane is a project from a book that I have had for several years, one could say it's a "vintage" book ;). Although this book has several interesting projects, this is the first one I do. The photo shows the book's cover and the original project. I made some changes since the original is for bigger children. The one I did doesn't have wheels or buttons for baby's safety.

El otro juguete es una pelota de tela que me encantó desde que la vi ya que es perfecta para las manitas de los bebes. Para hacerla me guié en un par de tutoriales que encontré en la red. Yo hice los patrones de acuerdo a las instrucciones del tuto en español del blog "El Baúl de Esmeralda", pero los corte y cosí de acuerdo al tutorial en inglés del blog "Finding my Way".


The other toy is a fabric ball that I loved since I saw it, because it's perfect for little babies's hands. I made it guided by a couple of tutorials I found on the net. I made the patterns following the instructions from the blog "El baúl de Esmeralda", but I cut and sewn the pieces according to the blog "Finding my way".

Sampler Aux Bleuets... The End

Después de diez meses de entregas, hoy por fin les muestro mi bordado del Sampler Aux Bleuets. ¡Qué lástima que las cosas buenas tengan que terminar!... sin embargo, queda la satisfacción del trabajo realizado;).


After ten months of deliveries, today finally I can show you my embroidery of the Sampler Aux Bleuets. What a pity that the good things have to finish!... however, there stays the satisfaction of the realized work;).

Este es hasta hoy el bordado más grande que he hecho: 278 x 197 puntos. El lino es de 32 ct. y lo bordé 1/1 para que al final no resultara un cuadro inmenso.


This is until now the biggest embroidery that I have done: 278 x 197 points. The linen is 32 count and I embroidered it 1/1 in order that, at the end, it wasn't an immense embroidery.

Aún no decido si enmarcarlo o  hacer un costurero con una caja de madera que tengo... en realidad me gusta más la idea del costurero pero, no sé de qué color pintar la caja. En cuanto me decida y lo haga se los mostraré.


I don't decide yet if I'm gonna frame it or do a sewing box with a wood box that I have... actually, I do like more the idea of the box but I do not know what color to paint it. As soon as I decide it,  I will show you

iStitch Mystery SAL

En cuanto vi en el blog "istitchaholic" de Carol su propuesta para un SAL misterioso, no pude dejar pasar esta oportunidad. Sus diseños, iStitch Designs, siempre me han parecido hermosos y muy sencillos. Afortunadamente me anoté  a tiempo ya que el SAL se limitó solamente a 125 participantes.


As soon as I saw in Carol's blog "istitchaholic" her proposal for a mystery SAL, I could not pass up this opportunity. I find her designs, iStitch Designs, simply beautiful. I fortunately sign in in time, the SAL was limited to 125 participants only.

Sorry for the dark photos!... was a cloudy morning here, in the center of Mexico.

El bordado es 2/2 en lino de 36 count. El hilo 223 es uno de mis colores favoritos... tomando en cuenta que mis colores favoritos son como 50, ¡ha sido una elección difícil!:D


The embroidery is 2 / 2 on 36 count linen. The 223 floss is one of my favorite colours... considering that my favorite colours are like 50, it has been a difficult choice!:D




El corazón de plata solía ser un dije para el cuello. De tanto uso que le dí, el cordón se rompio y ahora sirve como un excelente guarda hilos;).


The sterling silver heart used to be a neck pendant. I used it so much that the cord broke and now it makes an excellent thread keep;).

Mi Pochette ABCD'Air...

Después de varios meses de entregas, he terminado mi bolso para las labores del SAL organizado por las chicas del blog Association ABCD'Air. Tuve una pequeña pelea con la máquina de coser porque las piezas de tela no coincidían al tratar de unirlas. Por fortuna, luego de descoser y enmendar el error, volví a coser y el resultado ha sido de mi agrado; no es perfecto pero cumple con su propósito ;).


After several months of deliveries, I have finished my pouch  of the SAL organized by the girls of the blog Association ABCD'Air. I had a small fight with the sewing machine because the pieces of fabric were not coinciding when I tried to join them. Fortunately, after I unstitched it and to amend the mistake, I sew it again and the result has been of my pleasure; it's not perfect but I think it fulfills its purpose ;).

El diseño que bordé en la solapa del bolso es de un freebie de "La Comtesse & Le Point de Croix".


The design I embroidered on the pouch cover, is from a freebie of "The Comtesse & le Point de Croix ".

Para la parte interna del bolso utilicé una de las telas que mi amiga Graciela me obsequió hace unos meses.


For the inside of the pouch, I used one of the fabrics that my friend Graciela gave to me a few months ago.

No sé si lo recuerden, originalmente una de las caras del bolso tenía un molino y un par de árboles (aquí lo pueden ver). Pues al final deshice esa parte y bordé un diseño floral que es parte de uno de los gráficos del sitio PCB.


I don't know if you remember it but, originally, one of the faces of the pouch had a mill and a couple of trees (here you can see it).  At the end I undid this part and embroidered a floral design instead of it that is a part  from one of the charts of the PCB site.

Como podrán ver, el planchado del lino no se me da muy bien... ¿no será que necesito una mejor plancha???... sí, ya lo sé, no son más que pretextos... ¡lo admito, no sé planchar y punto!!! :D.

As you'll be able to see, ironing is not my strongest feature... will be that I need a better iron???... I know, I know it, is nothing but excuses... I admit it, I don't know how to iron, period!!! :D.
