Creepmas Day 13

Merry Creepmas

I'm a CREEP for The 13 Days of CREEPMAS

Well here it is the last day of Creepmas. I would like to thank Dex over at AIEOU...and sometimes why and Chad Savage of Sinister Vision  for being gracious hosts and the driving force behind a great idea. Also to Tom over at Monsterfink's Midnight Monster Spookshow  for the killer Creepmas Badges.

I have to admit this as been a lot of fun seeing everybody's take on a holiday mash up. There have been some really great post's. I have joined a few new site's along the way as well as bookmarking a few more.
I look forward to see what a lot of you have to post the rest of the year. You have  been so much fun and for that I thank you.
I already can't wait for next year as new idea's and inspiration's swirl in my head.
Stick around my blog for the year is not over yet and Creepmas just may have to creep along for a few more days.
Thanks again for stopping by everybody and Merry Creepmas to you all.
I was so inspired to decked out the man cave with a creepmas tree and then some. My kids think I'm nuts but when we went shopping they would see something cool for the tree and that made me smile.

See the photos after the jump

We wish you a scary Creepmas!

Day 12 of Creepmas

*sigh* Creepmas Day 11

Not sure why this did not post on Sunday Sorry.

According to Dread Central, the UK outfit North Bank Entertainment is currently developing a new updated version of the cult classic Silent Night, Bloody Night. The Remake comes with a new title "Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Home Coming"

“SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT: THE HOMECOMING will be a modern updating of the original story, but we also want to re-capture the atmosphere of the slasher films from the 1970s and 80s. There will be a keen focus on practical FX, genuine suspense, and compelling storytelling. This could be one of the rare cases when a new version of a classic actually benefits the original film. We hope that by bringing SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT: THE HOMECOMING to a modern audience, they will also seek out the 1974 film and appreciate its importance in horror cinema history.”

Synopsis:
“The abandoned home of Wilfred Butler, a wealthy but troubled man who committed suicide in 1982, has been willed to his grandson, Jeffrey. The house has sat in disarray since Wilfred’s death, standing in the way of developers who want to turn the property into residential homes. Just before Christmas 2012, some thirty years after Wilfred’s death, Jeffrey and his lawyer appear in town to negotiate the sale of the property. But an axe-wielding maniac has set up residencee in the house, and he doesn’t take kindly to strangers.”

The Stupidest Angel Creepmas Day 8

The Stupidest Angel
A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror

by Christopher Moore

The Stupidest Angel - now with a new chapter!

'Twas the night (okay, more like the week) before Christmas, and all through the tiny community of Pine Cove, California, people are busy buying, wrapping, packing, and generally getting into the holiday spirit.

But not everybody is feeling the joy. Little Joshua Barker is in desperate need of a holiday miracle. No, he's not on his deathbed; no, his dog hasn't run away from home. But Josh is sure that he saw Santa take a shovel to the head, and now the seven-year-old has only one prayer: Please, Santa, come back from the dead.

But hold on! There's an angel waiting in the wings. (Wings, get it?) It's none other than the Archangel Raziel come to Earth seeking a small child with a wish that needs granting. Unfortunately, our angel's not sporting the brightest halo in the bunch, and before you can say "Kris Kringle," he's botched his sacred mission and sent the residents of Pine Cove headlong into Christmas chaos, culminating in the most hilarious and horrifying holiday party the town has ever seen.

Move over, Charles Dickens -- it's Christopher Moore time.

If you have not read this book yet you must!!! I don't re-read books very often but I love to dive back into this every year. This is truly one of the greatest books I have ever read. I love how Moore brings in his characters from his other books into this book.

We all want Zombie's this Creepmas this book has them! If you like Army of Darkness or Shaun of the Dead then you need no you MUST read this book.

Read an  Excerpt from The Stupidest Angel here. http://www.chrismoore.com/stupidest_angel2_excerpt.html

And if that was not enough they are filming the movie http://www.tsathemovie.com/

Black Christmas Soundtrack

This is not my post and I apologize I do not remember where I got it. This is a deluxe 2 CD set. This is also a fan made CD. So I thank you to the original poster.

Black Christmas is a 1974 Canadian slasher film directed by Bob Clark and written by A. Roy Moore, and largely based on a series of murders that took place in Quebec, Canada around Christmas time. The film's score is by Carl Zittrer. It was distributed by Ambassador Film Distributors in Canada and Warner Bros. in the United States. It follows a group of college students who must face a deranged serial killer lurking in their sorority house. It stars Olivia Hussey, Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder, Andrea Martin, Marian Waldman, and John Saxon. A remake of the same name directed by Glen Morgan was released on December 25, 2006. The movie was inspired by an urban legend called "The Baby-Sitter."

Elvira's Merry Creepmas Day 2

Nothing gets you ready for the creepy holidays like Elvira. You will not catch this on the Hallmark Channel, ABC Family or  Lifetime but you can head over to your local video store for some true Creepmas Holiday spirit. Next week December 6th Elvira's Movie Macabre - Santa Claus Conquers The Martians / Beast From Haunted Cave will hit the DVD shelves.

The sexy "Santa" outfit that Elvira wears will melt any amount of snow.

Elvira prepares for her second favorite holiday by screening a camp classic featuring Santa thwarting a Martian plot to steal Christmas plus an abominable film about gangsters battling a snow beast at a ski-lodge. Includes cult director Roger Corman's Beast from Haunted Cave and the B-movie holiday classic Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

If you have never seen "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" you owe it to yourself. And what a better way to watch a really bad movie. Elvira's wit and sarcasm make this much easier to swallow. If not you can always find it for a buck on many of those PD DVDs. For now, Check out the opening for Martians but fair Waring it is not for kids!!

Also, be sure to check out everybody's blogs that are having fun with Creepmas!

A little Svengoolie News

This week on MeTv will be "Island of Lost Souls"

So if you have never seen Svengoolie somebody over on the youtube posted the first 3 minutes of the intro.

Also this week Sven has said "we will be showing  “The Mummy’s Ghost” with John Carradine- in 2012."
And if that was not enough hinted to showing the Car as well. In his blog he was warning his new viewers  about Svensurround "I continue to hear from viewers about the Flash Gordon Svensurround episode…and the verdict is almost entirely “thumbs up”! That gives me some hope for when we run “The Car”, which is just loaded with Svensurround" said Svengoolie. "I’m sure there will be a few complaints that I have ruined this great “classic”. As I’ve said before- damned if you do, damned if you don’t. You can’t please everyone. I especially enjoy when said complainers react with such outrage when I honestly suggest that, if they want to see the movie untouched". I love the classic bit. Sure The Car is not the greatest movie on the planet but as a kid I loved this movie! And I'm a big fan of Svensurround as well. Its not over the top and most of the time it makes the movie more tolerable. I watched a horror host over do it with Fart and burp noise once and I'm not sure that I have watched that show again.

Once I get the newsletter you can bet I will post it here on Saturdays. Sure hope some of you can catch Sven or your local Me-Tv their is nothing better on a cold winters night.

Also sorry for the lack of post's this past week work is really demanding right now and will be the first week of December. This makes me cringe a little as we head into the Creepmas countdown! I will do my best I promise and I can't wait to see what others have to post.
