Creepmas for the Holidays

Sinister Visions And AEIOU...and sometimes why are teaming up for a new Holiday tradition! So head over to get your creep on!

The 13 Days Of CREEPMAS! Go now and Declare Yourself. I'm in.

Happy Halloween Everybody

Wow, here it is one of the most wonderful days in my life. Not only is today Halloween but today I celebrate my 13Th anniversary.

We both feel that this time of the year is so wonderful. We had the perfect wedding day. The colors in the tree's  a warm sunny day. And my wife looked beautiful. I knew that day that the rest of my life was going to be just as wonderful.

Now with 2 kids we spend our Halloween together trick or treating and would not want it any other way.
If we are lucky maybe we will have the energy to go out for dinner after.

So to my wonderful Bride Happy Anniversary. I still look at you and think  I'm the luckiest man alive!

As for the Halloween Countdown. Wow, I did it. I came up with a post every day! Sure I winged it a few times and I'm proud of a few others. But none the less I had fun. I started to blog again to relax saw the countdown and went for it.

To everybody, that stopped by THANK YOU! I have had over 1,000 views in the past 4 weeks and posted more this month than I will the rest of the year. Feel free to stop back this holiday season. And as for next year, I'm in but I promise I will be more prepared! And I will work on my grammar and spelling too lol!

Halloween Count Down Day 31

Halloween Count Down Day 30 Scream 4

New decade. New rules.

Scream 4
Rated: R
Genre: Horror
Release Date: April 15. 2011
Starring: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette
Director:  Wes Craven
Writer:  Kevin Williamson
Run Time:  111
DVD Extras:

Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

Scream is one of the only bright spots's when it comes to 90's horror. And Kevin Williamson hands down was the best writer in the 90's. The man is responsible for the Scream series I know what you did last summer, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, Dawson's Creek and Cursed!  Man, he sure knows what eye candy to put on the screen for us young boys!

Count Down To Halloween Day 29! Egyptian Princess

What a great day today. First, we headed downtown for a costume contest. Which my Egyptian Princess took the prize for their age group! Then is was off to downtown LaSalle to Trick Or Treat. Some of the business had fun with it. The store the girls loved the most had Disney Princess with Tinker Bell on the roof sprinkling us with pixie dust.

After that, it was time for hot chocolate Hay Rack rides and games. Once we finished there it was finally time for lunch. When we were done with lunch it was time to hit the pumpkin patch for more fun and games.

It was a great sunny warm day with the family. It was great that my sister could come down from 2 hours away to joy us. And my brother with his kids as well. We need a bus to get around!

Now we are sitting around the Wii waiting for the sandman to come which should be soon! I hope. I would like to watch scream 4 at some time.

Halloween Count Down Day 26! Phone Home.

E.T. Phone Home. E.T. Phone Home.

So why is it every Halloween ABC Family, Hallmark Channel, Lifetime and so on release there Halloween TV schedule and never once to the mention the one Halloween Movie that changed life's. The movie that gave us Reese's Pieces,  Video Piracy, and the worst Atari Game of all time.

In 1982 director Steven Spielberg brought us a scary fun ride about a lovable extra-terrestrail that get's left behind here on earth. Henry Thomas spots his new friend and brings him home through the power of candy coated peanut butter.

I don't think I need to tell you the whole plot. I will tell you that at the age 12 this movie had some great intense scary scenes. When the government agents invade the house you can't help to jump. When E.T. is dieing and taking Elliot down with him you get wrapped up in the intensity and hold on to your seat. This to me is brilliant filmmaking.

And let's not forget the climax of this movie revolves around the great holiday Halloween. At this point in the movie you start to relax and laugh a little. The roller coaster at the end is great fun.

The concept for E.T. was based on an imaginary friend Spielberg created after his parents' divorce in 1960. In 1980, Spielberg met with writer  Melissa  Mathison  and developed a new story from the stalled science fiction/horror film project Night Skies. A Boy's Life aka E.T. was shot from September to December 1981 in California on a budget of  $10.5 million. Unlike most motion pictures, the film was shot in roughly chronological order, to facilitate convincing emotional performances from the young cast.

Released by Universal Pictures, E.T. was a blockbuster, surpassing Star Wars to become the highest-grossing film and held that title for 11 years until being surpassed by Jurassic Park, which is also directed by Spielberg. Critics acclaimed it as a timeless story of friendship, and it ranks as the greatest science fiction film ever made.

Halloween Count Down Day 25

Halloween 3 Season of the Witch

So one of the many movies I try to cram in during the Halloween season is the much hated but for me loved movie Halloween 3. The 1982 installment of John Carpenters franchise was the first Halloween that does not include Michael Myers. This seems to be everybody's gripe about the movie. But for a 12-year-old at the time, it was a great story about the best holiday of the all.

Directed and written by Tommy Lee Wallace ( Fright night 2, It) and stars  Tom Atkins and well played creepy Dan O'Herlihy. O'Herlihy is the mysterious owner of the Silver Shamrock Novelties company.

Halloween 3 was a complete turn from its slasher driven original Halloween. And not as gory as Halloween 2. But as a child, this had some great intense death scenes. And that song just try and get it out of your head go on try!

I can't tell you how bad I wanted one of those masks.

Music Monday's Tribute to Rocky Horror Picture Show

Here I go again with the cheap cd! What does that say about me? Anyway found this a year or two ago at the Dollar Store. I thought to myself why not I liked the movie this can't be to bad. I was not too far off it is not bad, but they added some odd song's to fill time. Don't know why the choice to skip the less popular songs but hey it's a Drew's Famous I can't expect much more from that. So for you listening pleasure The Hit Crew sing to songs of Rocky Horror and then some.

Halloween Count Down Day 23. Horror on the Iphone

It's time to trick out your iPhone  for Halloween. First head over to Sideshow Cinema and download the Halloween Lock Screens. Then in the app store, you  will find some pretty cool Halloween downloads. Would I highly recommend Scene It? Horror 2. This is a fun little trivia app. Some of the questions are hard but for the most part, you will be looking to download the add-ons after a few plays.

Good Clean graphics

This was the hardest part.

Halloween Count Down Day 21 Foodie Friday

Boy Its Dark!

With its debut, Halloween 2004 Pitch Black was far out! I quickly became addicted to this dark purple grape flavored goodness. And when it went away it was a sad sad day. As I patiently waited for its release for the 2005 Halloween season I was going crazy. But in '05 they made this wonderful concoction sour! And called it Pitch Black 2. In no way was it good. So to my surprise, I find this liquid gold again this year part of the Back by  popular DEWmand.  Thank god they went with the '04 version.

Now where did I put the candy corn!

Halloween Count Down Day 20! To soon for Christmas

Fall

So today has been an odd day. With temperatures in the 40's and gray skies, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. And this is not good. It's bad enough that today at work I walked into Christmas Tree's and lights. Aug! And it gets worse I stopped by the local second-hand store and picked up a Christmas Cd! If that's not enough my 4 years old wanted to watch Frosty the Snowman! Good grief it is October 20th. But hope came in the form of mail today from  Netflix I received Never Sleep Again: the elm street legacy and my prize from AEIOU...and sometimes Why came today. I was lucky enough to be picked and receive U.S. Army Werewolf Sniper Manual! Hot Damn and a bonus plastic skeleton. Not to mention the scratch and sniff sticker on the letter. (Photo coming soon) So there is still some hope for tonight after the nightmare of Parent Teacher Conferences.

Day 18 and I have not lost my head!

Vintage Tuesday

Wow, day 18 of the countdown to Halloween! So far I have been able to keep up. I'm not sure I'm overly happy with some of my post's but overall I'm having fun.

OK, this is not my download or album. But this is my favorite Halloween story. This is from the Troll Records read along.

Also one of my favorites growing up.

Winnie The Winsome Witch is feeling lonely at home since no one likes a witch. So she decides to go to Arizona where no one knows her. She settles in an old Wild West type of town where she is eventually asked to be the sheriff. Not really Halloween but she is a witch. Fun never the less.

Enjoy!

Groovy Man! Music Monday Halloween Count Down Day 17

"Monster Shindig" with Super Snooper & Blabbermouse

Here is a groovy 1966 Surf rock Monster party with Super Snooper, Blabbermouse and more. I'm not sure where I found this little lost L-P but it's a fun little jaunt in time when kid records were meant to entertain.

Super Snooper gets a call of a loud party at 999 Shady Lane. Upon investigation, they find out the party is at the house occupied by the Gruesome Family (From the Flintstones). Released in 1966 Monster Shindig is a ghoulish gem to share with your family.

Halloween Count Down Day 16 The Walking Dead

This past summer I was lucky enough to meet a few members of the cast for the hit show "The Walking Dead". So today in honor of Season Two starting tonight I thought I would post a few of the pictures and the Question and Answer Panel from Flashback Weekend in Chicago, IL.

Q & A
Rooker was down right funny

Photo Opp Area
Steven Yeun (Glenn)

Out of all the guys Michael Rooker was super funny and great to talk to but the one guy that was really cool was Steve. You can really tell he was thankful for the chance to be there with the fans. Andrew Rothenberg was not so cool in fact he just sat there like he did not care. And the next day we met a few more at Wizard World Comic Con.
