USA ~ Rainbow Falls - Watkins Glen State Park - New York ~

... Lovely retro-themed poster postcard printed by Lantern Press... the most impressive and picturesque waterfall on the Gorge Trail is Rainbow Falls... it consists of 150 feet of cascades, which fill the gorge with a constant mist, providing ideal conditions for spotting rainbows on sunny days, hence its name... it is one of the famous falls to visit, with lush green environments and stunning views... Watkins Glen is rightly one of the most popular natural attractions in western New York State... Thanks a lot Andrene!(✿◠‿◠) Must have been well worth the climb!😅

Watkins Glen State Park is nestled on the southern tip of Seneca Lake and is known for its trail of 19 waterfalls. Just 1.5 miles in length, you can see all 19 impressive waterfalls along the gorge.

The 778-acre state park has 7.5 miles of scenic hiking trails, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, cabins for rent, and camping facilities for trailers or tents.

USA ~ Fort Stanwix National Monument Rome - NY ~

... Great aerial view of a colonial fort known today as "the fort that never surrendered"... designed in the shape of a four-pointed star... some 250-plus years later, Fort Stanwix is a standing reminder of its rich history... it’s like a time machine, seeing the military arms, clothing, hardware, Indian artifacts and furnishings from the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War periods that take you back in history.... the monument welcomes thousands of daily visitors to its grounds... there are a lot of special events and programs... postmarked with a cancellation from the site itself,👍 what makes it even more special... Big Thanks once more Andrene!!(✿ ♥‿♥)
Fort Stanwix National Monument that visitors experience today is relatively modern, built between 1974 and 1976 as a modified reconstruction of the original fort, based on the conjectural location of the 18thC earth and timber fort which previously stood on the site.

The site is historically significant from 1758 to 1781 for its associations with the American Revolution. Named for General John Stanwix, the Fort was built by the British to protect the portage between the Mohawk River and Wood Creek in New York during the French and Indian War.

Known as "The Crossroads of the World" and "The Great White Way," Times Square is especially famous among tourists, it is home to the Naked Cowboy, ABC's Times Square Studios, and Planet Hollywood. Many Broadway shows are also located within a short walk of Times Square.
Times Square acquired its name in 1904 when Albert Ochs, publisher of the New York Times, moved the newspaper's operations to a new skyscraper on what was then known as Longacre Square. The name stuck, even after the New York Times moved their headquarters across Broadway in 1913.

Now Times Square New York City is known around the world as a symbol of the American spirit.

USA ~New York~

Another postcard from the USA...and its showing one of the most famous symbols in the world and a monument that we all know... This scene, with the silhouette of the Statue of Liberty towering against the beautiful sunset sky, looks really impressive and amazing! Thanks Rose!:D

with lovely flower stamp!
Located on a 12 acre island, the Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the US and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue Of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924.
It represents a woman wearing a stola, a radiant crown and sandals, trampling a broken chain, carrying a torch in her raised right hand and a tabula ansata tablet. From 1886 until the jet age, it was often one of the first glimpses of the United States for millions of immigrants.
