I am continuing to valorise one of the multi-part buildings model from the City Ruins set from Kromlech. As announced, today I have for you photos of the building models with the walls sanded, in addition, with a sharp needle I made small hollows where the plaster joins the wooden slats. And this is how it looks at the moment.

Po wyschnięciu kleju ostrym nożem ściąłem krawędzie sosnowych listewek, nadając im trochę bardziej nieregularnych kształtów. Następnie zabezpieczyłem krawędzie strzaskanych ścian, by zatrzymać gips szpachlowy. Użyłem do tego celu samoutwardzalnej gliny, której mocowanie do ścian wzmocniłem klejem cyjanoakrylowym. Kolejny krok to nałożenie gipsu szpachlowego i pozostawienie makiety do wyschnięcia. Za tydzień pokażę Wam jak makieta wygląda po oszlifowaniu ścian gąbką ścierną.

I am continuing to valorise one of the multi-part buildings model from the City Ruins set from Kromlech. After the glue had dried, I cut the edges of the pine slats with a sharp knife, giving them a slightly more irregular shape. I then secured the edges of the frayed walls to hold the putty. For this I used self-hardening clay, whose attachment to the walls I reinforced with cyanoacrylate glue. The next step was to apply the putty plaster and let the buildings model dry. Next week I will show you how the building model looks after sanding the walls with an abrasive sponge.

Na pierwszy ogień poszła jedna z wieloczęściowych makiet z zestawu City Ruins od Kromlech. Z sosnowych listewek zrobiłem szkielet pruskiego muru, a z patyczków do kawy ułożyłem podłogi na piętrze ruiny. Kolejnym krokiem będzie pokrycie zewnętrznych ścian gipsem szpachlowym.

First up was one of the multi-part buildings model from the City Ruins set from Kromlech. I made the framework of the Prussian wall out of pine slats and arranged the floors on the first floor of the ruin out of coffee sticks. The next step will be to cover the external walls with joint plaster.

Dlatego postanowiłem pójść na skróty i wykorzystać do waloryzacji gotowe makiety od Tereny do Gier, a ponieważ efekt waloryzacji spotkał się z aprobatą szanownego państwa-draństwa postanowiłem przygotować kilka poradników w których pokrótce przedstawię co i jak zrobiłem. W pierwszym z poradników na temat budowy wsi Teufelsberg pokażę jak szybko i łatwo przy użyciu makiet od Tereny do Gier zrobić mur pruski.

If you read my blog DansE MacabrE quite regularly, which I encourage you to do, then you have certainly noticed reviews of models of the Prussian village from Tereny do Gier, which it publishes as part of Friday reviews. As I wrote on the occasion of the #60 edition of the Miniatures Blog Carnival, I decided to finally make my own table with a set of house models with a characteristic Prussian wall, which is one of the elements of the architecture of the Old World Empire in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. By the way, still unfinished, the diorama project with a false perspective I made an attempt to build such house models from scratch, but it is both as pleasant and time-consuming work. That is why I decided to take shortcuts and use ready house models for valorisation from Tereny do Gier, and because the valorization effect met with the approval of you, I decided to prepare a few tutorials in which I will briefly describe what and how I did. In the first tutorial on building the village of Teufelsberg I will show you how to make a Prussian wall using Tereny do Gier house quickly and easily.

Do wykonania muru pruskiego na makietach od Tereny do Gier będziecie potrzebować gipsu szpachlowego, szpatułki, szpachelki oraz miseczki i wody, a w później igły oraz gąbki ściernej. Możecie użyć także zamienników. Ja wykorzystałem kawałek wąskiej drewnianej listewki oraz plastikową podkładkę z folii na telefon. Po rozrobieniu gipsu i wody za pomocą szpatułki wypełniłem pole pomiędzy belkami, a następnie całość wygładziłem szpachelką i pozostawiłem do wyschnięcia.

To make the Prussian wall on house models from Tereny do Gier, you will need putty plaster, a spatula, a palette knife, a bowl and water, and in later steps needles and an abrasive sponge. Instead of the tools listed above, you can use substitutes. I used a piece of narrow wooden slat and a plastic foil pad for the phone. After mixing the putty plaster and water, I filled the free space between the beams with a spatula, then smoothed the whole thing with a palette knife and left to dry for a few hours.

Po wyschnięciu gipsu za pomocą igły osadzonej w uchwycie na skalpel wydrapałem rowki wzdłuż belek, z których gąbką ścierną usunąłem nadmiar gipsu szpachlowego. Rowki wzdłuż belek wydrapałem w celu ułatwienia sobie później malowania i uchronienia się przed brudzeniem tynku kolorem belek i odwrotnie.

After the putty plaster dried, using a needle embedded in the scalpel holder, I scratched the grooves along the beams, from which I removed the excess leveling plaster with an abrasive sponge. I scratched the grooves along the beams to facilitate painting later and to protect against plaster dirtying with the color of the beams and vice versa.
