Celebrating his third Daphni album Butterfly, Dan Snaith unloads a bountiful three hour set recorded at Lofi Amsterdam in 2025 for this Bleep mix. With endless bounce, he presents playful switchups from sparkling kaleidoscopic sugar rushes to thick funk flips to heaving underground bass in between a generous helping of tracks from Butterfly, like the ticking timebomb of 'Two Maps' with robotic scrubs and thumps. The full spectrum is on display here: organic garage drums from Four Tet's KHLHI project, euphoric explosions of colour with Sofia Kourtesis, and the fluid subs and frenzied Morse code signals of Peder Mannerfelt's 'Geht's Noch?' remix.

To celebrate the release of the Telepathic Fish compilation, we have a special 'O Is For Orange 2025' Bleep Mix from DJ Food.
"A version of this mix first appeared in 2013 at a night to celebrate the release of Boards of Canada’s 'Tomorrow’s Harvest' LP release. It then morphed into an Audio Visual DJ set that I toured around the UK in 2019, playing the Bluedot festival to a packed tent that year. The idea was to thread Boards of Canada's music with original sample sources, tracks they'd remixed, fan remixes or songs that fitted their sonic blueprint.
I recently resurrected and refined the mix for a gig booking, updating it into a new version. This happened to be a week before I was due to deliver my guest mix to Bleep and it seemed to be too good an opportunity to pass up. I abandoned the mix I was going to deliver and put down the first hour of the 'Orange' set including a video mix to go with it. I used stem splitting apps to deconstruct some of the tracks into unique versions before video mixing it all on turntables using Serato then editing the footage in Premiere." - DJ Food

Earlier this year Matt Anniss released the book Join The Future - UK Bleep & Bass 1988-91. Some five years in the making it tells the story of the rise of British dance music during the late 80s and 90s. To coincide with this book, he has put together a compilation with some of the key tracks during this period. To celebrate the release of this compilation we have a special mix from Optimo (Espacio) founding member JD Twitch focussing on these genres Bleep Techno & Bass. JD Twitch effortlessly pulls together classics from the genre starting with the seminal Test Four from Richard H. Kirk and DJ Parrot, through his own remix of Nightmares On Wax's Dextrous, LFO, Tough Little Unit and Ital Rockers. Sitting neatly alongside these blueprints, we have modern productions on labels indebted to this sound such as Batu's 2017 Hessle Audio cut Marius, I-iii's Livity Sound release and Luca Lozano's And It Was Good - released through Twitch's own Optimo Trax.

For Tectonic's 20th anniversary, label boss Pinch rounds up some heaters from the label alongside their Tectonic Sound compilation. Spinning the whole bass spectrum, Pinch goes from broiling two step to scrubbing grime, with frazzled pulse discharging great energy beside Trim's idiosyncratic, expressive raps. Lighter moments like the whizzing, zipping, euphoric arpeggios of Peverelist's 'Feel Something' are offset by guttural moody bass, travelling from the club convergence of rattles and tings and brightly resonating metals on Bohdi's 'Bellcurve' to the heavy rotating bass of J. Sparrow's 'L33T SP33K', with slippery dub lasers echoing out.

"The mix was recorded at an illegal party on the edge of Sheffield, an old farmer's barn in the middle of nowhere. We went on early as we wanted 3hrs to build the crowd up and get everyone dancing. We spent our time watching the crowd and mixing to get them up. After 30 minutes we had the place rocking for 3hrs, it was a real buzz, nothing beats that feeling. The DJ after us cleared the floor by playing drillcore, after 45 minutes the party was over. The promoter was well pissed off." - The Black Dog

Mesh; the name brings to mind an underlying foundation, a wire frame for a crafted piece of art to ensure structural integrity. It's an apt name for multimedia artist Max Cooper's electronic imprint, where the MO is clattering rhythms and voluminous ambient vistas; sound as a vehicle for big ideas. Cooper's exclusive Bleep mix celebrates the achievements of Mesh with a collection of works from their discography, featuring the ambient swells of Rob Clouth and some especially crisp breakbeat re-alignments from the likes of Reid Willis and Synkro. To top it off, there's a couple of unreleased Cooper numbers you won't hear anywhere else.
