Hi friends!
I'd like to share a Floral card and since it is St. Patrick's Day, here is wishing my Irish friends a very Happy St. Patrick's Day :)
This is a side folding A2 size card. The panel is a stitched rectangle die cut. I stamped one of the floral images (the second detailed one from the biggest flower) from The Ton Stamps- Fresh Cut Peonies set in Archival Manganese Blue Ink onto the panel in 2 corners, following this 2 of the leaves from the same set were also stamped in the corners using Archival Emerald Green Ink. Even though this is a layered stamp set, I wanted to create a whimsical design so I decided to use just 1 stamp out of the 3 and on top of that I used the color blue which isn't the traditional color for peonies but I tend to take creative liberties and do what feels good at the time :) Then using zig and camlin markers along with an aqua brush, the background was watercolored. The sentiment is from Verve stamps- Lucky Day digi stamp, this was die cut with the Gina Marie Designs Stitched Squares Die set. To add details to the flowers and leaves, shading was done with markers and then some white dots were added with a white gel pen to make the images pop. To add more interest to the background, one of the mini leaf stamps from the ton stamp set was stamped onto the background to give a cohesive look. The panel was adhered to the card base with tissue tape.
