Post 353: CAS One Layer Card (Books)

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean & Simple One Layer Card. This was part of my DT work for Peekaboo designs, all the details can be checked out here

Process & Supplies:
1. For this OLC, the cute image was stamped directly on the cardbase using the PABD Bookworm Stamp & Shadow Grey Archival Ink.
2. The sentiment is also from the Bookworm stamp and it was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
3. Shadows were added using cool greys from the Prisma Color Pencils line.
4. Finally, the card was embellished with a few Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Post 324: CAS Card- You're Fantastic...

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Card. This is a standard A2 sized top folding card. I masked off the card front and did ink blending with a few colors of Distress Oxide inks (Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick & Peacock Feathers) and then adhered black die cuts from the Amazing Adjectives Word Die Set from Verve stamps and then stamped the "you're " from the Lawn Fawn Best Pun Ever stamp. Added a thin black strip of cardstock at the top and a bit of washi tape to balance the design. In the end, added little dots as pointers using black enamel accents.

Here are a couple of photos of the card:

Post 323: CAS Thanks Card

Hi friends :)

Happy Sunday!!

I made 3 Clean and Simple cards over the weekend solely for the purpose of fun and to play in challenges. This first CAS Thanks card is super simple but I love it. Its a small sized card, 3.75 by 5 inches in size. Its made from a tiny little inexpensive stamp (WRMK- Thankful List) I bought from a clearance sale 1 year back and it felt so nice to finally use it. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised that it stamped so well. Filled in, wrote and listed  3 things I'm thankful for using a thin tip Sharpie :) I thought it would make a cute little card to give to a friend. Then, added a bit of washi tape at the bottom as an accent. I really like the black and white look to it.

Post 281: CAS Card- You are Terrific (OLC)

Hi folks!

I'd like to share a Clean & Simple, One Layer Card today. This was featured in my GD post for stencils, all the details can be found here. This is a 5 by 7 inches card. For this CAS Encouragement Card, I stamped the background with the Hero Arts Cling Stamp- Thank You Definition Background using peacock feathers distress ink and then sponged on black soot distress ink through the stencil, then mixed some silver glitter with Prima’s Modelling paste and applied this glittery paste through one of the dress designs of the stencil. The sentiment "You are Terrific" was stamped multiple times using Versafine onyx black ink from the Casual Fridays- Casual Elegance Stamp Set. To finish the card, a blue strip was created by masking and a few black gems were added.

Post 241: CAS OLC- Hang in there!

Hi folks!

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple One Layer Card I made today. This is a top folding A2 sized card. I used a never before used stamp which I bought a while back so was happy to finally put it to use. The Funky Monkey by Avery Elle. Did some masking and ink blending and then created some ink blots with distress ink and an aqua brush for an arty look. Wanted it to look like an artsy speech bubble. I like the sentiment which reads, "Its a jungle out there, hang in there". I think it will make for a nice encouragement card for my niece when she needs a bit of cheering up :) (she loves monkeys). I'm sorry the photo looks a bit blurry, the expanded version is fine. Not sure whats wrong there.

List of Supplies:

Avery Elle Stamp- Funky Monkey
Versafine Onyx Black Mini Inkpad
Distress Oxide Inkpad- Fossilized Amber
Distress Mini Inkpad- Spiced Marmalade
Ranger's round blending tool and foams
Sizzix Circle Die (to create mask)
Aqua Brush
Cream Cardstock 270 gsm

Post 222- CAS One Layer Card "I will always be there for you"

Hi friends!

This is the second post in which I share my experiments of trying to create summer fruits out of other stamps. This is an A2 sized cas one layer card. I created the background by sponging a couple of distress oxide inks (fossilized amber and spiced marmalade) through a hexagon design stencil, then stamped the penguin from the W & W Stampet: Penguin set and the sentiment from the W & W A Tree for All Seasons using versafine onyx black ink. Then converted the penguin into a pineapple by drawing and coloring on some details using zig markers and a white gel pen.

This card really gives me a chuckle because the penguin masquerading as a pineapple with that huge crown on his head reminds me of King Julien from the kiddy movie series Madagascar, which is a brilliant funny flick and I really enjoyed that character. If you haven't checked it out, please do. It will make you laugh for sure.
