Post 675: Clean & Simple Christmas Card (Inspiration for Lindy's Gang December 2020 Color Challenge)

Hi friends!
Hope you are doing well :)

We have a beautiful mood board for you.
There are generous prizes on offer, so please do join the challenge.
All the details about the Challenge can be found on the Lindy's Gang Blog.

Lindy's Gang has gorgeous sprays, pigment powders, squirts & embossing powders, they ship worldwide, to check out their store, please click HERE
Also, to get product updates & lots of inspiration, we have a vibrant Lindy's Creative Gang Facebook Group.

Color Palette Guidelines: Peach --- Slate --- Soft Brown

To enter the Color Challenge you MUST use at least 2 colors from the monthly color palette and as always you may also use black, white, neutrals or metallic colors as well! We are finding that there are so many amazing artists who are joining our challenge, that we can’t keep up with choosing winners! So, we’ll still have 5 winners of $50 gift certificates to Lindy’s, (sometimes more if we get tons of participants), and of those, 3 projects will be picked by Lindy’s for style, linking, etc, (the details are below) and 2 will be randomly drawn. Hopefully more people are encouraged to enter and we’ll get even more gorgeous projects! We just love sharing the Lindy love & thought this would be a great way to do it without anyone feeling intimidated.

For the challenge inspiration, I've created a Clean & Simple Christmas Card.
I've heat embossed 3 strips of double sided tape here. To view the tutorial on how to heat emboss on double sided tape, please click HERE

Post 410: 2 Floral Mixed Media Cards- Warm Wishes

Hi friends!!

I'd like to share 2 Floral Mixed Media Cards today. This was part of my DT work for Bob n Betty. All the details are here. I was inspired by a few challenges & the Spring Season. I wanted to keep the look of Clean & Simple Mixed Media for these.

Process:
Both these cards are 5 by 7 inches in size. First, I took a couple of papers from Bob N Betty's Feel Like a Butterfly Paper Pack, cut them (4 by 6 inches) & distressed their edges. Then created mats for these panels (0.25 inches apart) and adhered all the layers. One of the layers was foam mounted to give the card some dimension. Then, created two colorful floral clusters/bouquets with flowers, gauze, twine, pollens, lace & dried up stalks/hay. Sprayed a couple of flowers with Lindys sprays to make them pop & then dry brushed Prima Finnabair's Heavy white gesso on the floral elements. Then, adhered these bouquets to the card front. For the sentiment, I wrote “warm wishes” with a black pen on 2 wood slices & mounted them on ornate embellishments to give the sentiments some height. Then, created a little splatter with Lindy’s sprays and white gesso. In the end, added a few drops of Nuvo drops & Perfect Pearls as a finishing touch.

Post 368: Simple Layered Christmas Card (mandalas)

Hi folks!

I'd like to share a Simple Layered Christmas Card. This was part of my DT work for Bob n Betty. All the details are here. I wanted to use decoupage papers in cardmaking because the mandala designs were so pretty, I thought it would be so cool to use them for non-traditional cards all year round. I used very few supplies for these as I wanted to process to be very simple. I made a set of 4, which I will share one by one. Hope you like them :) These cards are approx 4 by 8 inches in size. I used a die cut phrase for the sentiment (creating a shadow effect by adhering a black die cut a little off centre underneath, to make it more visible) and a few butterflies stamped, heat embossed in white and fussy cut out of vellum as an embellishment.

List of Supplies:

Cutplorations Peace Love Joy Phrase Die
Mudra Stamp- Butterfly Layers
Bob n Betty Decoupage Papers- Imperial Collection
Ranger's Super Fine White Embossing Powder
Ranger's Heat tool
Versamark Watermark Mini pad
White & red cardstock
Tim Holtz Paper Distressor

Here is a photo of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Cutplorations December Challenge (was inspired by the christmas theme in the photo)

Post 197: Father's Day Card

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a simple and cute father's day card today. This is a top folding A2 size card. I have used a geometrical design stencil and the main colors as blue and green on the card to keep the project masculine. I loved the way the background came out with the stencil and distress ink blending. The critter images were stamped with archival ink and the heart with distress oxide. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of black cardstock in fossilized amber distress oxide but since it did not show up very brightly, I went over it with a white gel pen. In the end, embellished the card with a few silver sequins and a yellow half pearl.

List of Supplies:

Winnie & Walter: Scenery- Do you see what I see ? Creative Screenings
Winnie & Walter Stamp: The Big, the Bold and the Happy
Winnie & Walter Stamp: Welcome to the family with Evelin T. Designs
Ranger's Distress Inkpads- Forest Moss and Peacock Feathers
Ranger's Round blending tool and foams
Ranger's Archival Ink- Jet Black
Ranger's Distress Oxide- Fossilized Amber and Worn Lipstick
Sakura Gelli Roll White Pen
Iris White Cardstock
Snippet of Black Cardstock
Light Yellow Half Pearl
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Little Birdie Angel Wings Silver Sequins

Here is a photograph of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday #286-287
Uniko Challenge #41- Gone with the twist of father's day
