..or maybe it should say 'What I Am Up To Wednesday'. ;-)
I decided to give the northwind blocks a rest. Thank you for all your border votes! I've narrowed it down to the lower two golds~ I'm moving them around the quilt to see if either clashes with any of the outer blocks, then that one would be out. If not, I'll just close my eyes and choose one! LOL :-)
In the meantime~ I finished block 7 of Verandah Views last night. I left off the tail part that was below the post on purpose, because I thought my bird was cute without having such a long tail. Just pretend his tail is hidden behind the wood. LOL ;-)
And I'm back to working on Triangulations. :-) This time they are for the Jewel Box Blocks swap I am doing on HGTV. I have 2 sets finished and this last one to go~ I just love making HST's with Triangulations! And I love the rotating mat for trimming them! When I do these, I trim off half of the little 'rabbit ear' ends while I'm trimming up the blocks~ I trim the outer triangles off, them when I have a center square left, I nip off those double ends. The rest I'll take when I'm relaxing tonight and snip off and then finger press them all open. They will be ready to join the 4 patches I will do this afternoon. I love a plan! LOL! :-))
What are you working on today? If you leave me a comment, I'll come over and see~ ;-)
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'! ...and no rippin'!! :-)))

I keep hearing about swaps through the HGTV web site. Must be fun. I haven't done a swap in years.
I love watching you gals create ...

PS Pop over for a visit.
I am being lazy today but I have posted about a chairty auction and a wonderful giveaway...and below it is the Texas quilt I am working on...so come on by....
I have a lot of UFO to be completed but sadly at the moment I have to put my sewing aside for now. It doesn't stop me enjoying blogs like yours though! :D
My design wall is the floor too... My biggest problem is not lack of floor space, but the two cats that think anything put on the floor is put there for THEM to sit on.
I love coming here!!!! and I love that we great minds think so much alike!!! :) :) :)
Guess what I bought myself about 2 or 3 weeks ago... for an early Birthday gift... That SAME Rotating Cutting Mat!!! :) :) :) and I was gonna be good and wait to use it... I was... but then I didn't! LOL
I had wanted a round Brooklyn Revolver and that was all I had talked about for the past several months... However b/c they stoped making them they are harder to find on the internet and also right at $100 (ouch) so I had nearly given up...
I'd heard of this brand/type but wasn't sure if it'd have a "lump" in the middle or not - wasn't gonna buy without hands on seeing it... well I happened to be in my LQS and asked about it and they had one they loved to use and let me see it... so I went ahead and jumped at buying one for $65....
Guess what - when I got home and showed/told David, he said "well darn, your Brooklyn Revolver I ordered will arrive in about 2 or 3 more days"
I couldn't believe it - but after it came I was happier with the larger green square one... and so we ate the shipping charges and sent it back. :P
Well I should get off of here and back to the sewing/guest room.
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
