Card Chain Challenge November 2022 Reveal

Hi there, it's the November 2022 Reveal over at Card Chain Challenge!

A total of 29 players bring our number of cards exchanged thus far by CCC participants to a rather awesome 3,827.

I sent this card to Joanne in California...

I completely LOVED the colour palette and decided to make my own stencils to get the random, balloony shapes I wanted. I stamped in brown using this gorgeous set from Rubber Dance Art Stamps, and then added a cute little die cut.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #208 - L is for Layers

Another magical Edna from Sister Lee signals the start of another challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. As you can tell from our fabulous cut-away Edna we're all about LAYERS for the next two weeks. 

While I always admire crafters who can use layers of DP to gorgeous effect I'm not really  big on working with layers of paper myself, so I decided to do some layered stencilling and stamping. 

I'm loving the leaf designs from Rubber Dance - they stamp beautifully. No points for guessing that my 'game old bird' and the fun sentiment come from VLVS!

A Tiny Craft #7 - Masculine

Today, I'm delighted to play along with the gals over at A Tiny Craft! If you've not yet discovered this fun ATC challenge then please head on over and take a look! 

Emboldened by my ATC made for The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - A is for ATC (still open for entries, folks!) I decided to try and make something for A Tiny Craft Challenge #7 - Masculine.

This is what I came up with:

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #105 - Z is for Zigzag.

The sistahs return today with a super-fun challenge: Zigzags!

The zigzags on my card are subtle: a ziggyzaggy stenciled background and a piece of patterned paper, but that's ok, we just want to see your pointy-up and pointy-down lines (thanks for that wonderful description of the noble zigzag, sistah Jane!).

Sometimes it does us all good to step out of our comfort zone and try out another creative style, right? I have to say I was soooo far away from my comfort zone that we weren't even within waving distance, but boy, did I ever have fun!

This gorgeous creature is the Curious Cat from Rubber Dance. For anyone not familiar with this stamp company, this is a Norwegian stamp company with a growing collection of  beautiful, fun, and arty images.  All the deeply etched red rubber stamps are lovingly handmade by the owner Bibi in her home based workshop and sold unmounted.  Bibi has generously provided Curious Cat, which will go to one lucky blog reader who leaves a comment on this post over at The Card Chain Challenge blog. I really love this stamp, and I knew straight away that I wanted him to look as if he was appearing out of the undergrowth after an hour or two of footling around - such a cat thing to do!

I'm linking-up to the current challenge at Rubber Dance, which is a gorgeous palette of green, rust and magenta. Turns out that I don't have any rust coloured ink in my stash, so I opted for a deep orange as the nearest colour match I could achieve.

Rubber Dance Challenge April 15th - 30th

I had a little time to play in my craft room late this afternoon (but I gardened all morning, honest!)

My good blogging buddy, Gail, is on the DT for Rubber Dance Art Stamps and I've often wanted to play along with their challenges, but never managed to find the time. That is until now!

I feel really bad that this isn't a Rubber Dance stamp, but their challenge rules say it isn't an essential requirement. I have just purchased some gorgeous Rubber Dance stamps that are earmarked for some different projects, so hopefully the girls will cut me some slack!

The 'quote' was done on my PC and then I added the rather fabulous Technique Junkies cat. I just knew this was the card I wanted to make as soon as I saw the theme for the Rubber Dance Challenge. The background stamp, which is barely visible, is from MFT.

Now a nice beer and a curry are calling my name, so I better go... It would be rude not to!
