Dani Doodles - March 2025 Release

Hi there! It's time for me to share another card featuring new designs from Dani Doodles

I fell head-over-heels for this cute pup, and I think the illustration is based on Dani's little pug Maisie. What a sweetie, and just look how Dani has drawn that lil' face.

This really is the most adorable little set for Easter - you can buy it here, but you better hurry as stocks are running low.

My second card once again features sentiments from Sorry. The gorgeous birds were created using a favourite stencil from Funky Fossil. I've made another card using this stencil paired with Dani's stamps and I'll be sharing it next week.

You can see more of Dani's new stamps over on Facebook here or on Instagram here. You can shop the new release and purchase other sets here and don't forget to use my discount code: ddjo10 to get 10% off.

Dani Doodles - New Release

It's NEW RELEASE Week over at Dani Doodles! And what a fun release it is too.

Here's how a Dani Doodles package arrives:

I do like it when a delivery looks like a little gift. Such a sweet touch and so typical of the lovely Dani.

Here's my first card using one of the new sets:

And suddenly, thanks to Dani, 'Sorry' doesn't seem to be the hardest word!

This is just such a great set of sentiments and I love the fonts that Dani has used. For my card I paired the big 'Sorry' and 'things are rubbish' with sweet Hero Arts Lia Griffiths Mini Clear Just for You set, plus a nameless stencil (I must try and find the packaging!). I stepped-up the middle of the card just for a little added interest.

Here's the stamp set in full:

And here's another card using stamps from the same set, plus Dani's gorgeous Winter Vine pattern.

And here is a little look at Dani's fun pugs on her set Easter Maisie. My favorite is the pup with the bunny ears!

Dani's final set of the release is a little bit X-rated and you can find it here in her online shop. Great fun!

You can see more of Dani's new stamps over on Facebook here or on Instagram here. You can shop the new release and purchase other sets here and don't forget to use my discount code: ddjo10 to get 10% off.

Happy crafting everyone!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #96 - Reminder

We're in excellent company this month over at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge as our elf is none other than my dear friend, Arlene from A Bit of This and That...

Arlene has very kindly created a brand new card for our Reminder post. Please head on over and take a look.

Here's a quick reminder of Arlene's first card for this challenge. I think her palette is just so pretty and harmonious, and I wish I had her eye for colour combos.

This is my 'Inspired by Arlene...' creation. I wanted to hint at Arlene's colour choice and her mail theme, so reached for Darkroom Door Christmas Post which has sat unused in my stash for ages.

The ink is clear embossed and gives a lovely sheen to the card. I left my colouring somewhat sparse to avoid making the design look too busy.

Rudolph is offering a sweet price again this month...

So why not come and play along with Arlene and me: step away from the traditional and see what you can create using a colour palette that's just NOT the norm!

Dani Doodles - It's Sneak Peek Week

We're on the countdown to a brand new release over at Dani Doodles, and Dani and the team are sharing Sneak Peeks this week.

Here's how a Dani Doodles package arrives...

So exciting, so pretty and who doesn't love a bit of hairy string!

And now a little look at what I've been playing with from the new release. This is such a great set and I'm wondering how I managed without it for all these years!

I'll share the card in full next week, and showcase other cards made using the sentiments from this set.

Finally, here's a fun card I made using Dani's Naughty Affirmations Pt 2 (currently a Bestseller) and Whittle Unicorn from Poppystamps. Cute or what - and doesn't he look pleased with himself!

Happy crafting, everyone!

Dani Doodles Day!

If it's Thursday, then it must be my day to share a Dani Doodles creation!

Today, I'm showcasing More Narky Sentiments and proving how well Dani's sentiment stamps pair with just about any image you may have in your stash!

I love this Stamplorations border called Coffee Pot Row, but have always lacked the perfect wording to partner with it... Until now! The 'hello' is a super-oldie from Simon Says Stamp

Hope you're having a happy day!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #96 - Not the Norm!

Over at Kickstart HQ I'm delighted to welcome back my dear friend Arlene from A Bit of This and That... as our elf for March.

This month we're asking you to step away from the RED, GREEN and GOLD and join us in a colour challenge where we invite you to pick colours that are...

Challenge #96 - Not the Norm

Arlene and I have had heaps of fun playing this theme, so please head over to the challenge and see Arlene's gorgeous card.

Here's my creation for our challenge:

I used three shades of Distress Oxide to colour a lovely embossed panel (thanks so much, Greta) and added a teal Sizzix Noel die cut.

My second card is also an inky number. I used a portion of a pink gelli print and over stamped, then heat embossed in white with a favourite Sunny Studio snowflake background.

This card looks so much better IRL, but I may pep-it-up a little as it seems to lack a little something now I'm looking at it on the screen. I wonder what I could do? Ideas are welcome!

Rudolph has a sweet prize on offer for his Random Raffle...

And Arlene and I are very much looking forward to seeing your non-traditional colour combos!

The Card Chain Challenge Reveal - February 2025

Over at The Card Chain Challenge we had 26 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month. this makes the total number of cards exchanged thus far by Card Chain Challenge participants is 4,621. I think that's pretty amazing, don't you?

We had one new player this month, Darlene in Canada.  Welcome Darlene, so happy to have you as a link in the chain.

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

or

Sketch Option
(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Celestial / Hearts and Flowers / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Embossing Powder / Die Cutting

I bagged the lovely Gail in Norway as my recipient for this month. For me, this card was always going to be all about the words. Thank you for being a very, very dear friend, Gail.

I used this set from Uniko to make her card. It's very plain, but very twinkly. My sender this month was Patricia in Texas. Her card is beautiful and it must have taken ages to carefully colour that embossing folder. Thanks so much, Pat, I love it.

Want to join the fun????
Hey, if you want to join in the fun why not sign up for the Card Chain Challenge.  All sign ups run in advance, from the 7th of the preceding month to the 6th of the exchange month.  All reveals happen on the 2nd of the month after the exchange is complete.

Hope to see you there!

And finally, the recipient of the above starry card has given me a nudge to sign up over at Simon Says Monday Challenge where they're playing Look to the Night Sky. Thanks for the hint Gail in Norway! 🤣🤣🤣

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #260 - G is for Green

The word on the street is 'It's not easy being Green...' but, The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and our fabulous guest, Rachel, seem to have found it very easy to create cards using Mother Nature's favourite colour.

Here's what I made for Challenge #260:

A little The Ink Road snarkiness and a sweet AALL and Create image jumped onto one of my gelli prints to create this card. The sisters would love it if you came and joined the fun!

It's International Women Day on March 8th and Lost Coast Designs are celebrating with a fabulous month long theme of Woman. I had to play along.

I'm also dropping this sweet gal into the gallery over at Sweet Stampin as their new theme is Special Women, again to celebrate on March 8th.

Happy crafting everyone - I hope Saturday is good and kind to you all.

The Merry Little Christmas Challenge

I was in the mood to play with this sweet little pup from Avery Elle. Unfortunately, I don't think this set is still available anywhere, which is a pity as it's so cute.

The sentiment is also from Avery Elle and is from the Wreath Tag Sentiments set. I opted for a non-traditional colour combo. The gang over at MLCC have created some great cards and we'd love you to drop on over and play along!
