My Dad!

Just dropping by to share the card I made for my dad!

Thought I'd also share a picture of the man himself.

To make this card I used a super-fun Stampotique stamp (I masked out the other birds) and Avery Elle set Mom and Dad.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge ~112 - Q is for Quotes

Lovin' Edna's 'Air Quotes' today!

For Challenge #112 the sistahs wish to see a quote on your creation!

I went with a favourite quote of mine. I know it isn't always possible to live your life this way but I do try. I made this for a blogging buddy who once said 'YES' to a trip down a zip wire, so it seemed appropriate.

So, break out your quotes (snarky ones VERY welcome) and come play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #111- Y is for Yummy

That's one wonderfully yummy looking tea party that Edna has rustled-up!
For Challenge #111 the sistahs are looking for all things yummy.

As you can see my 'yummy' is a lettuce leaf!
I am totally in love with these Gerda Steiner guinea pig stamps.  This may have something to do with the little black guinea pig I had as a child. He (or possibly she?) was called 'Hammy' after Hammy Hamster in Tales from the Riverbank; yes, I know... Mom did try to explain, but I was adamant (as only a five year old can be) and Hammy it stayed.

Please drop by and join us for this delicious challenge!

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - May 2018

There is a truly gorgeous Reveal on offer over at The Card Chain Challenge!

The themes were Flowers, CAS and/or Friendship and the product options were Taylored Expressions, gems and pearls. The sketch was a beauty and the colours were a stunner!

This month I managed to use the sketch option and the colours, plus my perennial favourite: Friendship.

To make my card I smooshed three Distress Inks on some watercolour paper and then got busy with that huge die cut!

The adorable little panda is from Stampin' Up. Another fun and easy card to create.

The Card Chain Challenge is a monthly event where YOU get to choose whether to be on the DT or not! To join the chain you simply click on the linky and add your details. Just be aware that you will be receiving and sending a card. That's one of the best parts for me, as I love knowing that a fellow card maker will open my card and totally understand all the effort that went into making it, plus I get a gorgeous handmade beauty to enjoy! What's not to love?

Tempted? Then why not visit the site and play along as there are a few more days left for you to join the June 2018 chain.
