The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #186 - K is for Krafty

We're all about kraft cardstock this fortnight over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

I love using kraft, but I'm sometimes curious how it's seen by non-crafting folk... let's just say I've had a few negative comments along the lines of 'Is that cardboard?'

My card is for a male friend who will be sixty years young later this year. I created the sentiment on my PC and coloured the cute MFT kitties with pens and pencil crayons. The idea is that the one cat is pushing the zero, but I'm not sure it works.

Hope you'll come and take a look at what our fabulous guest and my adorable sistahs have created. We'd love you to play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #185 - A is for Animals

Do we have the best Graphics goddess or what! Another fabulous Edna gets challenge #185 off to a glorious start over at the Sisterhood

I couldn't resist matching a little stencilling, a fun meerkat and a snarky saying for my card.

The Katzelkraft meerkat just begged to be given a googly eye! The sentiment if from Picket Fence Studios. I've started to use smooth watercolour card for my Distress inked background and have to say that I'm loving the effect. What do you guys use?

Hope you have a safe, crafty day and that you come and join the Sistahs and our fabulous Queen for a fun challenge!

Let's Squash It! Challenge #8 -

It's time for a new Challenge over at Let's Squash It!  I think this is one you're gonna love!

This month we'd like you to use an embossing folder that leaves some un-embossed space and also add some bling such as sequins, pearls, rhinestones, glitter.

For my card I broke out some tiny jewels and yes, it took ages to find them in a pack of multicolored gems!

I've paired a Picket Fence Beautiful Girl with a Crafts Too Trellis folder. Sadly, I don't think this folder is available now as it's quite an oldie.

We have another lovely guest with us this month, so please head on over to see who it is and also see Gail's fabulous make. We hope you'll come and Squash It! with us.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #50 - Santa and Friends

We've reached Christmas Kickstart Challenge #50! Not quite sure how that happened!

I'm delighted to be joined by the lovely Bonnie Klass from Stamping with Klass as our elfin inspiration.

Our theme is:

Challenge #50 - Santa and Friends

We'd like to see Santa hanging with his crew for this one - a friend, Mrs Christmas, Rudolph, an elf or two; they're all welcome!

For my card Santa makes a visit to the South Pole to see his penguin buddies - don't they look pleased!

I combined two super cute Mama Elephant sets: Little Penguin Agenda and Santa's Sleigh to create this card. I had so much fun stencilling the clouds and masking all the penguins.

I'm linking-up at Lost Coast Challenge #121 because their current theme is Mail Art... And because Gail said I could! The penguin on the far right has an envelope in his flipper.

My second Christmas Kickstart card is this one:

I'm not going to give a company name for this set because I'm not sure it's 100% legit. I purchased it in good faith from someone who said the labels were missing, but the quality of the stamps just doesn't feel right. As far as I know this is the first time I've ever done this and I hope it'll be the last if I have made a mistake.

For his Random Raffle for this special challenge Rudolph has bagged a sponsor and it's none other than Lost Coast Designs

$10 of stamps shipped worldwide.

Many thanks to Lost Coast for sponsoring this challenge. If you're not familiar with this company, please go check them out as you are in for a treat - especially at the moment as there is a 20% off their own brand stamps if you use coupon code QUARANTINE when you shop!

April 2020 - Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a bright, sunny day just like we are here in the UK! They've forecast storms for tomorrow so I think I need to make the best of the good weather while it's here.

There's another gorgeous Reveal on offer over at CCC todayWe had 30 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month and our grand total of cards exchanged is now 3,309! Isn't that brilliant?

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option
(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Small Furry Animals/Funny/Friendship

Product / Technique Options:   Die Cut/Paint

I knew the small furry animals option was the one for me and broke out a sweet stamp set from Gerda Steiner. I tried to pick up the colours, and also the die cut option with the clouds and grass.

My recipient this month was Annerieke in The Netherlands. Turns out she's a fan of guinea pigs!

My sender for the month was Mia in Greece and I love her take on the sketch!

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you have a happy and safe day!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #184 - O is for Outdoors

Edna and the Sisterhood are all about the great OUTDOORS for this challenge.

The idea for this card came together very quickly and I knew I wanted to use an Emerson Quillan gal as they always have such great expressions. I don't think the stamps are still available, so I'm glad I bought a few when I did. I masked the original sentiment and created a stencilled background.

The sistahs have created some brilliant cards for this challenge and we've got a fabulous guest too, so please come and take a look!
