Sarah Palin proves that Einstein's quote about insanity holds true.

Perhaps you remember that at the end of one of Palin's recent Facebook posts she wrote, or had written for her, the following: 

And stay tuned for the next step in finally shooing away the pesky numbskulls in what was once "mainstream" media. I'm going to do my part. I'll soon announce the most helpful, satisfying, exciting leap YOU can take with me as we help build America's future together.

We of course all had a chuckle at that, and I even made this joke at the time, " Uh oh, it looks like Palin might be ready to launch another Sarah Palin Channel for her five remaining supporters."

Well the joke's on me, because that is exactly what she did.

It is essentially the same crap she posts on Facebook, only this time it's on a blog. (Which I thing we all know is way more legitimate.)

To kick it off she even advertised it on her Facebook page.

So Palin's attempt to undermine the "untrustworthy" MSM is to launch yet another online depository for her crazy batshit?

You know because that worked out so well last time.

Oh, we are going to have SO MUCH fun with this.

Millenials love Einstein more than Jesus, and hate George W. Bush more than Joseph Stalin. Well good for them!

George W Bush has gone down in history as one of the world's most evil people, just behind Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden. 

The former president beat Stalin, Mao and Lenin as a figure of hate in a new study of history's biggest heroes and villains. 

Albert Einstein, meanwhile, beat Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King and even Jesus Christ to be crowned the world's biggest hero. 

This is according to the opinions of almost 7,000 students from 37 countries including Argentina, Pakistan, South Korea, Italy, and the US. 

The students, who had an average age of 23, were asked to give their opinions on 40 figures and significant events throughout world history. 

Interestingly enough the historical figures more despised than Bush were Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden, and Adolph Hitler. Great company you keep there Georgie! (Can you believe his brother actually thinks he might be elected to the White House?)

Personally I was a little disappointed to see that Jesus beat out Buddha for biggest hero, and that President Obama was nowhere on the list.

I found this study particularly interesting in that the sampling was from all over the world, and that it was focused on a fairly young population.

This indicates to me that these young people are less religious, more inspired by science (Thomas Edison and Sir Isaac Newton also made the top ten.), and totally fed up with dictators and their wars.

In other words they are moving toward a more peaceful coexistence based on a love of logic, and away from the constant state of warfare dictated by an adherence to religious doctrines.

If true that is very good news indeed.

Something to keep in mind on the day after all that red, white, and blue 4th of July celebrating.

The reason that conservatives never have their facts right.

Just in case you thought this was a joke, let me assure you it is not.

Some of you may remember that the website was started by Andrew Schlafly, son of Phyllis Schlafly, after he determined that Wikipedia was too liberal. In other words it offered actual facts with citations to back them up.

So ever since2006 Schlafly has been offering up HIS version of truth.

What we in the reality based world call "lies."

Einstein's often debated opinion on faith and God is finally put to rest by 1954 letter.

Albert Einstein described belief in God as "childish superstition" and said Jews were not the chosen people, in a letter to be sold in London this week, an auctioneer said Tuesday.

The father of relativity, whose previously known views on religion have been more ambivalent and fuelled much discussion, made the comments in response to a philosopher in 1954.

As a Jew himself, Einstein said he had a great affinity with Jewish people but said they "have no different quality for me than all other people".

"The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.

"No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this," he wrote in the letter written on January 3, 1954 to the philosopher Eric Gutkind, cited by The Guardian newspaper.

Some of Einstein's quotes have been ambiguous on the subject of God which has allowed Christians to point out that one of the greatest scientific minds in history was a man of faith.

Clearly this definition is false.

The power of Einstein's intellect would make it impossible for him to believe in something with no empirical evidence to support it, but also too imaginative to completely dismiss the possibility of some great power that conducts the orchestra of the cosmos.

After all science and poetry are kissing cousins in the world of intellectual beauty.
