Leandro Castro is a Dancing Machine

Many of you might recall last year, when the Lakewood BlueClaws' rain delay dance troop made their internet debut. If not, you can refresh your memory by clicking here . During a rain delay last May, many Phillies prospects including Jon Velasquez, Travis D'Arnaud, Moose Mattair, Jacob Diekman and Zach Collier took the field, to entertain the fans who were in attendance, and performed the Cha Cha Slide. This event, as well as other similar occurrences, have given the BlueClaws a reputation for being fun-loving and for caring about their fans. This past Friday's opening night saw familiar rain delay action as BlueClaws left fielder Leandro Castro took to getting things poppin', somewhat, and entertained his teammates in the dugout during the down time. Sebastian Valle and Domingo Santana can be seen cheering Castro on from the bench. Through 11 games this season, the 20-year-old Castro is hitting .317 with 2 doubles, 2 triples, 7 RBI and 3 steals. Castro has 4 multi-hit ...

Rainy Day- Here and There

Both Phillies split squad games were rained out today. It's a nice day off for all players in major and minor league camps to shop, spend time with family, catch up on rest, hit a movie or do whatever else they like. Looking forward, tomorrow's home game against Jim Thome's Twins will be televised in the Philadelphia area on PHL 17 and will be broadcast on the Phils' radio network. Clay Condrey is also now with Minnesota. Speaking of former Phillies, let's take a look around spring training baseball and see how some of our favorite ex-Phils are doing thus far. Minnesota- Nick Punto...4 games, 2-for-9, 3 walks, 1 triple, 2 runs, .222 avg. Jim Thome...3 games, 0-for-6, 2 walks, .000 avg. Clay Condrey...2 games, 2 innings pitched, 1 hit allowed, 0 runs allowed, 0.00 ERA. Cleveland- Carlos Carrasco (traded in July Cliff Lee trade)...has not pitched Lou Marson (traded in July Cliff Lee trade)...3 games, 2-for-6, 3 runs, 1 RBI, .333 avg. Jason Donald (traded in July Cliff...

To be continued...on Wheneversday

Game 5 is suspended till further notice, with a tied score. The commissioner of MLB is not good. The game should have been stopped sooner. The game is tied at 2 after 5 1/2 innings. When the game resumes, the Phillies will have 4 turns at bat against the Rays, who only have 3 turns at bat. That still does not make up for the Phillies and Cole Hamels having to pitch an extra turn on a wet, muddy mound in an extreme down pour. When game 5 is restarted, the Rays will get to pitch off of a dry, nicely groomed mound. That's an advantage for the Rays pitchers that Cole Hamels did not have in the same inning. There were multiple instances where gameplay was proven to not be under normal circumstances. The umpiring crew suspended the infield fly rule early in the game, when the Phillies had multiple runners on, due to the weather, pop flies were no longer routine. When an infield pop up is not routine, due to weather conditions, the game should be halted. Later, Jimmy Rollins, a G...
