It's sat on my bookshelves ever since due to me not wanting to spoil the signed copy. I now don't have a place for bookshelves, so I am getting a storage box of books in my caravan and then finding them new homes. There's a tiny book library in the area our caravan is in so I'm going to be gifting this for a new YA fantasy reader to find. The book had a cover refresh since then and I think the remainder of the series is finished (I will find the e-books) I love supporting indie authors and it's even harder now because of the AI stuff drowning these hardworking authors. (Ms Dallas has written the story in a way that created a compelling read, where Lola eventually with the help of Drew and the Montgomery security team find's strength to face her demon's and fight for her future. I was totally immersed in the storyline, feeling the emotions of Lola, the frustration for Drew, as they battle to get justice for Lola. The Thailand chapters were intense, the scenes between Lola and Drew as their relationship deepens made my heart melt. The next book in this series is Gabriella's story and it was a long time in between this and her book, but although I recently read it I'm going to jump into it because I don't want to leave this world Ms Dallas set around a women's refuge.
If you haven't read the series yet, pick up the first book now and read them on order. My favorite quote in this book was( although I highlighted load's that really resonate with me.)...

When they meet again he is playing the long game so it was a little bit more of courtship which I really enjoyed. There's plenty of action but no actual mission for the SEAL team in this book. Said action really heats up at the end, and we get to see the seedy side of illegal gambling. Overall I enjoyed losing myself in Ms O'Leary SEAL world, and I loved that the Duchess got a HEA too... But this story starts with Carrie's past and boy doesn't it start with a bang... Ms Hart certainly paints a dark setting where my assumptions from book One were turned upside down. This book was not what I was expecting at all and I was just held captive by the storyline. I'd mention more But then I would spoil it for you.
Riot Rules is the second book in the Crooked Sinners series, but it can be read as a standalone, as well as in conjunction with the other books in the series. I'm 50/50 on whether it's Best to read Riot House first, in fact I want to re-read book 1 now I have another side of the events that transpired in the end of book 1. Callie Hart has a great talent for creating a Dark romance to that has a reader enthralled with the plot and routing for the anti hero, Dash is a bad boy with a capital B but it seems Carrie has the key to unlock the good guy hidden inside, there's a bit of a twist in the story that has me wanting to re-read my first ever book by Callie... those who have read this May have spotted a character from the past also. Well done Callie in creating a series that brings more than just the expected , but gives the reader mystery, suspense and of course the Romance that's hard fought for....more

I really loved diving back into Blair Babylons Billionaires world for this final (maybe) book in the runaway princess series. Flicka was one of my favourite characters.
Dieter was one character that has intrigued me since I started reading these books.
The road that Flicka has been travelling on has been one heck of a rough one for a princess, but she has a strong backbone and she survived, grew stronger and took care of baby Alina, oh there were moments when I ached for Alina and Flicka, I cried for that little child.
But don't fret, Deiter is on his way to rescue Flicka, and nothing or no one was getting in his way.
This book is a page turner (they all were to be honest) I thought about them when I couldnt read, stayed up longer just to get in 30 mnutes of me time to read this book, breakfast and lunch too.
I wasn't disappointed, I LOVE the ending, and can't wait for Max's story - now that is going to be one heck of a book - he is such a mystery!!!!...more

Relationship Advice from Six Navy Seals? When Billy Anderson decided to ask Rebecca Barnes to the Valentine’s Day Dance, he had no idea that he would be getting relationship advice from six Navy SEALs. While these guys have the looks do they really have a clue to how to get Rebecca out of the friend zone and into the girl friend zone?
This story involves Billy who is just starting to notice girls, and the girl he has noticed is Rebecca. Having spent time in foster care he knows Rebeccas life is not ideal, he was lucky and now he wants - no needs to make sure Rebecca gets to be in a home where she is cared for.
With the help of the Men in the Midnight Delta SEAL team to advise and support him, Billy has all the help he needs to be there for Rebecca.
This was a story about family, about not ignoring something that you know is wrong.
Thousands of children struggle in Foster care, they either fall through the cracks or are placed in homes where the paycheck is more important. This book highlights that humanity has a long way to go when our vulnerable children are concerned.
It was a lovely glimpse into the down time of the team as well as focusing on the realities of being poor or unwanted in our world. ...more
This 2 book series is what they term a Companion Series and I basically read the series as they arrived *** Gifted in exchange for an honest review***
This 2 book series is what they term a Companion Series and I basically read the series as they arrived on my kindle, reading Losing Faith: Surfers Way series by Australian Author Jennifer Ryder then I jumped straight into this book, reading both over a 24 hour period, my eyes were very raw by the end. but it was worth the late night read.
With reading Losing faith first I already knew of the history between Mack, Lacey and poor Faith who is tragically killed on the night of their graduation.
This book gives us Mack's tale, we finally find out why she disappeared, although I had my suspicions and I was correct in these assumptions, why she ran was a twist I had not expected.
Now its almost three years later, and Mack’s guilt haunts her on a daily basis. She isn't living, she survives... she feels that she deserves to have a life that sucks because she feels partly responsible for Faiths death. When she is working one night serving whisky to the Bar occupants when a ghost from the past appears - Byron Leckie is Faith's old boyfriend, and Mack, now known as Emma is trying not to let the feelings that his appearance evokes... But when an incident means that he creates a faux relationship with Mack, will he finally break through the ice she has coated her heart in - or will it bring Mack more trouble?
I will say the ensuing chase that Bryon sets out of brings tears of joy and sadness as you read.
This is a great series and you can read in either order, but I am glad that I read them in the order I did.
Lauren has created a character who has so many layers, you can feel Mack's torment, and it didn't start with the death of her best friend, no it started a lot earlier, Mack hasn't had a great life and as her demons are revealed you can understand and grieve with her as she falls into the malaise of depression but Byron will not give up and I am glad, Byron was a great character, the Surfer boy who has a heart and the determination to go for what is important to him... and he fights tooth and nail.
I am going to stop there as I do not want to give spoilers away...
I am sure that I will be re-reading this series in the future... and maybe / hopefully getting a signed paperback version one day soon....more

Spent ages writing a review and it goes and looses it!
#2nd go!
*gifted by the author via my blog Kats Book Promotionsin exchange for my honest review, I gave this book an overall 3.5 stars out of 5 stars, the reason for it being 3.5stars is in the last paragraphs and this was a decision I had to think about but then this is my honest opinion so I am voicing it.
So heres a breakdown of the book
PLOT line - 4 out of 5 - the storyline is something new, PSS is a fictitious condition but the author has written it in a way that it makes you google it to see if it is based something real! (yes I did I admit it!!) But I wanted more about the PSS, why are the 'CAMFers' so determined to snatch them all. And another thing that seemed a bit unbelievable was why these PSS kids are not being tested by a "Governed Medical body" in the first place... because come on if this was a reality - these kids would be in a lab before you could say OMG as they popped out their mums! The storyline runs to a predictable conclusion, and it was said somewhere it was a standalone but to me its left open to continue into the next book. ITS not a Cliff hanger though.
Character Development - 3.5
Olivia is a strong main character, she is a bit of a loner, but has a best friend who she knows has her back no matter what. I liked how she could think herself out of a problem rather than expecting the Male MC to rescue her. I like my Female MCs to be strong and not simpering wallflowers. Although she wasn't perfect, she has her faults and that makes her more relatable.
Marcus - Well he was a bit of a unknown and this book was sold on a basis that it was a standalone, so to me we should know more in the book about him, if he comes back in others then he is a secondary character. We dont get much on his background but we are told the basics by the end. In respects of how he was with Olivia's romantic counterpart, on the one hand he was there for Olivia but then on the other he kept secrets from her but expected her to trust him and for her to go with him. He even kept secrets from the majority of his group of his group.
the secondary characters and my views on them:
Olivias Mum : what a total 'biatch' she needed to put herself in the therapy chair and give herself a talking too! The way she treated Olivia was awful. It seems even before her husbands death she didn't really want Olivia because of her PSS. How she and Olivia's dad got together is beyond me as they were total opposites in my opinion.
Olivia's Dad - we learn about him via Olivia's thoughts and memories, he sounded like a very cool dad to have and I can understand why she misses him so much.
Marcus's Gang: Jason - well Boy he is a wild card, he was brutal, but he had his reasons due to the way he was brought up, but he has some serious making up to do with Olivia!
Nose - he was the sweetest one of Marcus's group but even he had his faults in not being strong enough to do the right thing
Moon - well he was? I can't remember much about him other than why he got his nickname (you will snigger too when you get to it)
Now to the villains the 'CAMFers', well we don't really get much on these guys they are shady, vague and will the story being in Olivia's POV I guess seeing she has no idea that is why, but I would have liked to know a bit more about the group and why they were so anti PSS.
COVER: 2.5 out of 5 - ok this was my main bug bear at first - I know the cover reflects the main character, but I am sad to say it did nothing for me, (I judge a book by its cover - It is what draws me to a book on the shelf) the cover designer used a font for the Title that disappears into the background and is hard to view on a thumbnail, there is NO Series title (but its there in the interior of the book) The Author Name is ok though you can read this easily on a thumbnail.
Editing: 4 out of 5 stars - Not bad, the storyline flowed well, the speech is quite juvenile but the characters are young so this is fine.
Formatting: 3.5 out of 5 stars - it was ok but the chapter of contents was centered, these look much better left aligned. The body text was fine, justified, was easy to read having big gaps in between the words.
So the reason I have done this review this way is because on researching this book I found that it was funded by kickstarter, and OK the author rewarded her supporters with free copies of the books, and I guess these supporters are happy with that, but do they get a share of the royalties? I don't know and this is why I am very wary and not a fan of funding a book this way.
The MAJORITY of indie authors scrimp and scrape to get their books out to the reader, then then fund their subsequent books from the sales of the books published, they don't ask someone to fund it,they then get the royalties, well earned royalties too, its a hard thing to do, making a living from writing! - when a book is published by a traditional route - the royalties are shared between the publisher and author. So they are entitled to the royalties that they earn.
so in conclusion using Kickstarter or a similar scheme to fund your book series (and it was a fair amount of money and also for the amounts for the other books in this series) and to me that means you should put out a much better quality product than other indie authors who have not got the money this way.
so that's why it gets a 3.5 star because I have split it into the elements of the book and then made an overall final total, because I have and will see again, books that have great covers, great formatting and editing and the author has paid for it themselves.
NOW I guess some people will not agree with my view on the Kickstarter funding and that is fine, each to their own, BUT THIS IS MY opinion so I am not keeping it out of the review.
If this offends the author and I don't get another book of hers to review then that's her choice, I have no problem with that.
Would I recommend it to readers - Yes. It was a new twist to the paranormal, but other than the PSS the rest of the plot runs on a predictable course, with a few twists here and there.
My advice would be to read the free sample and then if it grips you into reading further then you can #oneclick.
Thanks to the Author for contacting my blog to review. ...more

This is the fir Everything's bigger in Big Sky country, including the hearts of the Montana Men... and oh boy I wish I was stuck in the snow with GABE!
This is the first book of Jennifer Ryan's I have read, and I am quite fond of Western Themed romances since I love cowboys and love horses and countryside, I would love to visit the US, so reading these books is like living a life I would love to have a chance at living.
Oh and I have rode bucking horses and Mechanical bulls (see I said I wanted to be a cowgirl)
Ex Rodeo Star, Gabe Bowden dreams of a grand Ranch of his own and a woman who will claim his heart for more than one night. When the opportunity to buy the enormous Wolf Ranch which borders his small ranch, he bets everything he has on it. He looks forward to the date it will be his, blissfully unaware that things are about to go south! On the way back with a new horse and in the middle of a serious snow storm Gabe rescues a woman on the side of the road, shes unconscious and definitely not dressed for the Montana weather.
He recognises her, from a brief encounter at Wolf Ranch, but everything is not how it seems.
The Damsel in distress is actually Ella Wolf who is on the run and looking for answers after she witnessed her sisters murder. She knows she's next . . . unless she can uncover a secret hidden somewhere at Wolf Ranch.
Sparks fly when Ella realises what has happened with the illegal sale of Wolf Ranch and Gabe being an honourable man is determined to help Ella uncover the mystery of why her sister was killed.
The pair are stuck in a snowstorm with no where to go and their attraction is something they can't ignore.
The hunt for the evidence her sister has hidden at Wolf Ranch is a a priority but Ella also has to come to terms with grief and the realisation that there is more to this than just her sisters death. Bit by bit the pair uncover more and more.
And also fall deeper and deeper for each other. The trouble is is that they are from different worlds, Ella is now the sole heir to a Multi Million company and obligations.
But deep down - who wouldn't want to live in the beauty and splendour of the Montana Range. It looks quite appealing when its in the form of Hunky Cowboy Gabe, that's for sure.
I spent the whole of my Sunday sat engrossed in this book, I loved both the suspense and the slowly developing relationship between the two.
If you are wanting a western romance that will make you want to pick up the next book in the series then give this book a go and I am sure you will also fall for Ms Ryan's Characters.
The writing style flows well, the romance is at a pace that you would expect for a girl on the run and grieving, and I liked that even though they were attracted to each other they realised that there were a few hurdles they had to face. Gabe has a sweet family that I guess we will soon read more about when Book 2 is released and we get to read about Gabe's Brother Blake. Ye Ha - Can't wait.
I know that this is a book that in a year or two - I would happily sit and curl up with and read again so I can sink into this warming romance - where heroes still exist and the damsels are quite capable of getting what and who they want.

Neala is hilarious and Darcy is her perfect nemisis since childhood. The interactions between them both had me in stitches unfortunately their families are super close so they are constantly being pushed together, its Christmas and Neala is out shopping for her Nieces present and its sold out everywhere - now in walks Darcy who is also on the hunt for the same toy... Think of the Film Jingle all the way and you will get the drift of the initial storyline, but you can see that this feud has the smouldering foundations of an attraction that as children the pair couldn't understand. This is where the pairs family puts their heads together and manipulates the situation with hilarious consequences.
I received an advanced copy from the Tour host of the Release Blitz and although I picked up some typo's hopefully these have been rectified and even with them I would recommend the book if you are looking for a book packed with humour and a HEA. This is a stand alone book with no cliffhanger but I would love to see some of the other family members get a book as they were all quite memorable.
I loved how the chapter headings were in the style of the cover, its nice when your ebook has added extras in them.
Now to finish this review - I would like to mention the Dedication - I always read these, its dedicated to Ms Casey's Nanny, and I actually contacted Ms Casey to tell her how much that dedication touched me, in a way I am glad I did contact her immediately because just recently Nanny passed away.
But wow what a fantastic lady she must have been, and I bet she was extremely proud of her Granddaughter's success, and its well deserved. I for one have Ms Casey on my top Author watch list. She has a great talent for creating story lines that both engage and make you laugh out loud.

I have not read any of this authors work before but the synopsis drew me in and I signed up for the tour, I love a good romance with a bit of suspense and intrigue and this book has it in spades.
We have a sassy heroine who has been in witness protection for the past ten years, she's used to having to keep an eye out for signs that she's been found, ready to run on a moments notice, she does the best she can for her son, but it's no life for a teenager, constant identity changes, unable to put down roots or make friends.
On their next scheduled relocation, their clapped out car brings them some unforeseen consequences both good and some that could lead their lives into mortal danger.
Who is Brody "Brutus" Jackson? He isn't your average mechanic that's for sure... He's a Viking god with a body to melt any woman in a 50 mile radius! But he's also a part of a covert team of mercenaries working from the small town garage in the town.
This book couple are HAWT they try deny their attraction, but fate has other ideas... I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more about the 'Bang Shift' boys....more

I enjoyed this YA novel, I have read a devil wears Prada, and the book is in a similar vein but its got a much younger feel about it, the main character also reminded me of Josie Geller from 'Never been Kissed' not only having the same first name, but also their similar characteristics, Nerd, no style but underneath the makings of a confident beautiful young woman.
The story starts on a humerous note and it keeps that vibe all the way through, and you can tell that there is a wealth of past experience used in the book as the Author, Gabrielle Tozer who has worked as a journalist and editor, having written for numerous titles, such as Cosmopolitan, DOLLY, Girlfriend, Bride To Be, TV WEEK, news.com.au and The Canberra Times.
Josie Browning has been an A+ student, shes in Uni and needs to do an internship to pass the course, shes in the top of her class but unfortunately Josie can’t get through twenty-four hours without embarrassing her sister Kat or her best friend Angel, let alone herself. Some of the scenes in the book had me laughing out loud, and some also reminding me of my awkward youth and work experience, and this is what I think for me was a strong point of why I really got into the story (I finished this book at 4.30am this morning - oh boy am I shattered now)
Josie’s internship is at a glossy fashion magazine called Sash. But start of the internship doesn't go well for Josie, as in most internships, there are lots of menial jobs (I don't do spoiler reviews so I won't say what they are) and of course there has to be the usual nasty girls (Fashion and Bitchiness go hand in hand - and YES this is from personal experience - remember me saying I could relate to Josie).
This book will appeal to the YA, NA and the readers like me who can read these with hindsight to how we were at that age. There is a romantic element in the book and I really thought the scene when they met was one of my favourites in the book (Yep I related to that too... having had an embarrassing first encounter with my OH)
I have given this book 4.5 stars, and I will be checking out Gabrielle Tozer's next book as this book was a great light and entertaining read.

Well this books been a very pleasant surprise, yes it's erotica, but it's also a book about relationships, loyalty and obsession.
How far would you go to get something you really want? Well Emily goes the whole Hogg!, she's had a lifelong crush on her brother's best friend, Paul. And of course he only sees the little sister he never had! Desperate and infatuated, Emily decides to change her look, heads to Cabo where she knows he's headed to and keeps watch for her target, when she sees him she introduces herself as Candy, there for a good time... And Paul being a typical man falls for the alter ego Candy, Emily just thought She needed one night with Paul, to finally get over this obsessive crush. But of course Fate has other ideas!
Now 'Candy' has Paul wanting to introduce her to the world of Doms and Subs! He continues to email Candy, growing to want a relationship with her... And here in lies Emily's dilemma... She wants it too, but how does she admit to Paul that Candy and Emily are one in the same? Well I urge you to read the book and find out for yourself
As I said at the beginning this book has been well written with a complete backstory that gives the characters depth and make you relate to each of them individually, and empathise with each of their situations.
Nikki Sex has combined a steamy introduction into the world of BDSM with her artfully written characters and plot line, I enjoyed getting to know both Emily and Paul and also Andre, who becomes the protagonist in getting the couple to see what they really want.
And upon reading the back of the book I can read more about Andre and also the other characters who popped in for cameo spots who have their own books.
This is my first book that I have read by Nikki Sex, but it won't be my last.
Thanks to Ashton Publishing who contacted my blog to see if I would like to review this book... And sorry it took so long!

Kacey was really easy to love, the pain and suffering she went through comes across easily in Ms Tuckers words.
I cried, I laughed and I fell in love with Storm, Mia and Livie.
Trent... mmm I was hesitant of him from the start, he was just too good and my suspicions were upheld when the twist was revealed.
The book highlights the consequences of drink driving and the pain of those who are left behind to pick up the pieces.

As Romantic Suspense stories go, this book had me from the beginning.
Sydney DeCarlo is a survivor of a traumatic past, going through what no teenager should, but because she refuses to be a victim she pulls out all the stops and graduates early and runs a private practice counselling kids who have also survived the same nightmare.
When the FBI and NYPD call her in to assist on a case, her past comes roaring back.
Enter Detective Gabriel Torres. He's Hot and Sydney can't ignore the attraction she feels for him. The attraction is mutual and Gabe isn't about to let Sydney brush off his advances.
The case they are both working on is hard for Sydney, and Gabe soon realises the trauma she has gone through, but rather than run away he stands firm letting her know he is in for the long haul and to get used to him being in her life.
I liked how Ms Lynn has written his character, strong, loyal and with ethics. Sydney too is not a victim, but has nightmares and flashbacks which can cripple her at times. all in all Ms Lynn created Characters that I could believe in, the storyline keeps you guessing...I was sure it would be one character that was the bad guy... but I was wrong.

The Prologue to this book had me in stitches, and also remembering back to when my kids were that young and how harassed I was at times, l started this book with trepidation as I didn't like that the story is based around Alexis cheating on her husband to whom Alexis has been happily married to for 12 years, the man she's only ever loved or been with and her two children. She takes a job at a hotel as concierge assistant (CA) at a local hotel, excited to be part of the workforce after nine years of not working. Now this I could relate to, and I must say that even though I was feeling slightly squiffy at her thoughts and reactions to her new boss, Bryce Clark, whom she accidentally spills her drink over before shes even started her first day! Bryce is a man who goes after what he wants and gets whatever he wants or needs. He's sexy and confidant and he takes charge and whisks Alexis off to the designer store to get them a change of clothes...
Now here is another bit I had difficulty with, Bryce knows everything about her, as if he's stalking her.
By the end of the first week she is promoted to replace his PA who is heavily pregnant, without fully being trained on what to do, on a side note... boy I wish I got paid that wage as a PA
Bryce wants Alexis in his bed, but Alexis is married and it's not going to happen. But she's attracted to him, and as time goes by she can't help but feel like she is falling for him while still being in love with her husband Rick. There are some very hot sexual fantasy scenes! *fanning face*
This story It pulls you right in from the beginning and keeps you on your toes until the very end of the book.
Bryce is caring, compassionate, charming, and fun loving and single, but why he is hell bent on getting a married woman had me a bit confused, and contradicts his other qualities, but I still warmed up to him, Rick sounds like a typical Aussie husband, but he has a secret...
There was a lot of of tension in this book which makes you keep turning the page to find out what happens next.
Things I liked... Relatable main character. Characters were described well and you could easily imagine them as the plot unfolds. Humour, Alex's inner monologue was awesome. Rick (the husband) wasn't made to be an out and out villain. Alexis wasn't a young, naive virgin, but a 35 yr old mum who isn't a size 8!
What I didn't like... There is a cliffhanger, but book 2 is out already. There is a third book. The infidelity, I kept thinking what about the kids, and although I still feel a bit uncomfortable about the way the story is going, but I will read the other two books and see what happens to Alexis, Bryce, Rick, and the two kids that are also going to be in the cross hairs to the decision that Alexis has taken... Well written Ms Golland, you kept me reading all the way to the end!

The story is about Mackenzie who works in a bar, one of the patrons is a mysterious man who visits once a week. He orders the same drink, scotch on the rocks, (a man with taste - I love the brand that he drinks!) He drinks alone, but he never leaves that way.
But this time he has turned his attention on Mackenzie. Instead of feeling nervous Mackenzie is enthralled, intrigued… and aroused.
Mackenzie has felt attracted to this man since he walked into the bar, so when he tells her to sit and have a drink with him, she does.
This Novella is a great example of a short read with great erotic writing and I would say to anyone who likes this genre to one-click. [image] Quoting Megan - "This was originally written as a stand alone short story but after numerous requests for more, it has recently been turned into a series. Book two, Eraser Blue is now available". thank goodness she listened to her fans... I was glad I got book 2 there on my kindle waiting for me to dive straight back in! ...more
I don't like spoiler reviews so I am going to try to do a worth review because I love this seriMarked by Hades by Reese Monroe
I give this book 5 stars
I don't like spoiler reviews so I am going to try to do a worth review because I love this series, and hope it will continue, as I think it's got the potential to be a long book series. You can never fully defeat evil and the "Shomrei" are immortal so that hopefully means that Ms Monroe's has got lots of ideas for future books! ( fingers crossed here)
This review is my own opinion and will be posted on my blog and linked with Booksniffer Review Tours, for the release of Book 2 Marked by Hades.
Synopsis: One choice away from eternity… For 911 years, Gatekeeper companion Justin Bradford has denied the possibility of being mated to only one woman. He enjoys them all too much to settle down. So when he feels his mate’s Ahavah mark surface, his first instinct is to ignore it. But when he sees the leather-clad beauty in need of his help that’s easier said than done… Yvonne wakes up naked on a cold park bench in a small town with no memory of who—or what—she is. All she knows is the gentle man who woke her was turned to dust when she touched him. And now the strange mark that appeared on her shoulder throbs in the presence of the raven-haired man now offering to help her… As Justin and Yvonne navigate the mystery of her past, their bond grows, but the secrets they discover and the sacrifices that must be made could be enough to rip them apart for eternity.
In this New Adult tale of Good versus Evil, Reese Monroe gives continues where she left off in her world of angels and demons, and supernatural beings the "Shomrei," the Gate Keeper's who were created by the breath of God. Extremely hot humans, (male and female) but they have extraordinary powers to battle the demons who sneak into the human world.
Lucifer has been busy making his demons stronger so 'The Great One' has to up his game too, and in this book it's full on and the situation with the demons is hotting up.
This book centres around Justin... Theo's brother/ companion who is to find his mate. Now Justin has spent the past 911 years womanising and is not happy when his mark appears, which is just like the great one... Get you when you least expect it!
He tries to ignore it but in the end you can't fight fate, or the great ones plan.
The other characters are there, Theo and Sadie are stronger together, in love and ready to pay back Justin's devotion to them by helping him find his Mate and the path they must walk to be together. The path will be a difficult one and will test all the "Shomrei" beliefs.
Darsha is also there ( one of my favourites as being the only human she tries to help in any way she can)
The writing style is fluid, I got swept away with the story, feeling Justin and Yvonne's pain when it got tough, and happy when things were going great for them.
The world building continues, you find out more of Sadie's background too... And at the end of the story you know that you will be hoping book 3 will be out soon!
Hats off to Ms Monroe, she's continued to evolve and grow her characters in this book.
I recommend this book to readers who like stories of the supernatural heroes battling with demons, with a healthy dose of smouldering passion thrown in for good measure.
