Ms Jones broke me with Carnage, which I was lucky to read before the release (lol not a description I felt was true, after the last page of the book) and I had to wait a long time to superglue myself back again with book 2, but even though the Carnage series is heartbreaking, it had me reading everything else that this talented lady had written. If you want books that show depth, emotion and storylines that pull you in, so you don't want to do anything other than read, then check out this author. So onto this book... well the title?????? 😱😵 my mind was imagining all sorts, but when it does come to light, it had me laughing at it. The title may put you off, but don't let it, no cows were slandered in the book 😂😂 our main character Gracie is one funny Essex girl, and I wonder if Lesley laughed as much writing certain scenes as I did reading them. Essex meets Colorado Cowboy = hilarious misinterpretation of the Essex tongue. Koa Carmichael is a great bookboyfriend. He's cocky (feisty Essex girls don't match well with boring blokes) he's honest, and does admit when he's wrong (see perfect bloke!) oh and of course, TDH (tall, dark and handsome). Gracie and Koas first encounter had me wiping my eyes, such a great scenes. Koa has baggage, but Gracie is woman enough to see it through. I loved the Carnage mention, and the epilogue was perfect. So it gets full marks from me and I Wil be getting my copy signed as I'll be taking it to the book signing in November 👍📚💗 I'll also be asking if KOD will get her own book, as Gracie's BFF sounds like she'll be just as much fun as Gracie is....more
From the beginning of this book you will realise that you are going to be giggling, sighing and high fiving as you turn the pages. When Danielle agreed From the beginning of this book you will realise that you are going to be giggling, sighing and high fiving as you turn the pages. When Danielle agreed to marry Elliot (Lots - what a cool nickname) when they were eight years old, little did she think her childhood friend and neighbour would hold her up to it. I mean he gave her a Cheezel, (not sure what one is - check the cover out - which is a cool cover so Well done Hang Le, I like it when the cover has something in common with the contents. So when 'Lot's proposed Danielle ate the Cheezel and said - Yes... But when she was thirty. Years pass, Dani's single and in a job she loves, ok so she's not found love - Yet, in fact she has a few issues about the whole commitment thing. But read the book to find out why this is.
Elliot Parker's quirky Facebook message, with its Laweeze and insistence that he was wanting to proceed with the 'oral contractual agreement', was hilarious, and I was on his side from that moment on.
I read the book in a day, not much was done on Sunday, but boy did I enjoy being engrossed in Ms. Golland's characters.
If you want a book that has some substance with humour, romance, and plain old HEA at the end grab a copy now.
I will be ordering a paperback at the next signing Ms. Golland is at, because I know I want this on my shelf.

Well I spent most of last night and this morning reading this book, it was 3rd in line on my list but after the last book I finished, I just needed something light and funny.
THIS was perfect for my mood.
If you want a book where the heroine finally decides to live for herself, and not for the smuck she married straight out of college then this story is for you. Randell was a D!$Khead But Kenzie, boy when she found her courage then she was on a roll.
I know this is a curvy girl story and I applaud Lila for going for a cover that reflects that, and I may be a skinny butt but I got how she felt, I have felt those feelings of doubt, low self-esteem and the nervousness of wondering if the hunk that is interested in me ... is really interested in ME, the skinny 'stick'. So Yeah I related well to her inner monolog.
The book is a delight, I had a hard time not waking the hubby as I read into the early hours of the morning and at 71% I spat out my tea! thankfully while reading on my sofa alone LOL.
We don't get to delve deep into Grayson's personality, we get a bit of background, but Lila has mostly focused on this being Mackenzie's story, and that was fine.. I guess the reason I gave it a 4.5 star was I really didn't think it needed all the love scenes, as I loved the build up and tension that occurs in the main part of the book as the romance builds, and of course the stereotypical women who were Grayson's Ex's Harpy ( lol I did love her nickname, she was well suited to it though)
SO if you are wanting a light rom-com that has a lovely story, some seriously funny scenes then grab a copy and jump in....more
