So what did I like. The authors take on this common fairy tale. Her not so wicked step mom, the reason for "Ella" to be "Cinders"... Thats why I took time I didnt really have to review the book.
( The tour host still hasn't sent me the details for the post on my blog! So I'm just posting the review and book blurb and what I can find on amazon!)
What I didn't like... The way the prince and Ella couldn't be in the same room without them copping a grope/ oral or finally sticking his "tip" in to disastrous consequences.
YES teenagers will do this stuff... But the at every meeting... Insert eye roll.
This was the first book which I read of the author, its a quick read, but I really wish the author had taken it further, developed her arc of this tale and made it more about the actual 'tale'.
The epilogue was out there too... Funny but a bit of a 'Disney character' name drop....more

I really loved diving back into Blair Babylons Billionaires world for this final (maybe) book in the runaway princess series. Flicka was one of my favourite characters.
Dieter was one character that has intrigued me since I started reading these books.
The road that Flicka has been travelling on has been one heck of a rough one for a princess, but she has a strong backbone and she survived, grew stronger and took care of baby Alina, oh there were moments when I ached for Alina and Flicka, I cried for that little child.
But don't fret, Deiter is on his way to rescue Flicka, and nothing or no one was getting in his way.
This book is a page turner (they all were to be honest) I thought about them when I couldnt read, stayed up longer just to get in 30 mnutes of me time to read this book, breakfast and lunch too.
I wasn't disappointed, I LOVE the ending, and can't wait for Max's story - now that is going to be one heck of a book - he is such a mystery!!!!...more
Zohar Drake is the Council’s most feared Enforcer. we met him in the other books he's broody, aloof and Another good shifter story from A. K. Michaels
Zohar Drake is the Council’s most feared Enforcer. we met him in the other books he's broody, aloof and feared by most people, shifters or other supes who meets him. He comes in, sorts out the problem, then moves on. The deeds he’s been forced to carry out for the Council have left him scarred and tormented…both man and beast. The Hunger has hit him, but he won't listen or believe that he's lucky enough to have the chance to have a soul mate. illusions… or a bewitching but never that the Goddess would send him a soulmate…he doesn’t deserve one. Not with the blackness he hides inside.
His best friend, Danko, realises what it is and on a mission to free a Pack from an abusive Alpha, he sees the chance to help his friend, but Zohar is stubborn.
So his stubbornness annoyed me in a way, and I know that the story would be boring if it was simple, but he'd seen the hunger in action so he should have been well aware of it.
The storyline is I guess a typical trope of this genre, but it's an entertaining read, with some good descriptive writing, there's a nice epilogue too.
The series is a good choice for those who like shifter storylines with a HEA....more

Ax left the Seattle’s Wolf Pack ten years ago, but the death of his adoptive father and alpha of the pack forces Ax to go back to honour his passing and watch his half brother become the alpha. Ax must confront his resentment of half-brother, Kendall. He hopes to at least make peace with him, but when he meets Kendalls fiancee Aimee it gets worse. Ax tries to resist but the hunger cannot be ignored, Passions run high, tempers fly and Aimee is stuck in the middle.
Ok my thoughts. This book is from a collection of stories that all hold a similar plot arc. The theme of the 'fated mate's and renegade wolves again give the reader plenty of suspenseful tension. I've read author A.K. Michaels book in this series and Ms. La Porta did a great job within the series arc theme. This is another good story from this author for readers who love alpha wolves, passionate characters.
thanks to the author for allowing me to review her work, these are my honest thoughts on the book....more

What can I say? Read this series, its well worth it, but beware its not all chocolates and roses, well the blurb says it all, so you can see it will be an emotional read...
Phoebe Reede has suffered unimaginable tortures at the hands of her captors. Now home and safe, she can’t let go of the things that happened to her. No amount of therapy or coaxing by her parents can draw her from her shell.
How can she learn to live again, when everything she loved about herself is gone?
Well, I am keeping this short... read and see for yourself.
So what can I say about this book, I read this book a few weeks ago when I was sent the book to review I dropped everything and started reading, and didn't stop.
Ms Irwin has proved she can write emotionally charged stuff, the feelings and emotions she has put down on paper are heart-wrenching, I felt Phoebe's pain, torment and frustrations.
The book quite rightly so is not a light tale, its dark, but there is hope, we should always have hope even in the darkest of hours.
I really can't wait for the next book, I know its going to be worth the wait....more

I do like the characters that Avery Aster writes about, they are pure escapism and a great way to zone out from the humdrum reality of real life.
We really don't get to see much of the familiar characters in this book, a brief cameo by Taddy and Kiki and Blake at Brill inc, but the main story centres on Taddy's Brother in law, single dad Sheldon Truman, he is trying to do the right thing for his autistic child, and to do that he needs money, he won't take charity from his brother Warner, so that means he is going to agree to go on a reality TV show! The show is a Newlywed Boot Camp with Neve Adele, a C-lister she is beginning to see her fame slip, she is willing to do anything, even if it means marrying a total stranger!
The pair feel an attraction, and even though they think they are incompatible - it seems they have a lot of things that they like about each other...
As they work together in the program they begin to peel back the layers that each of them hide behind.
I liked this couple, they looked completely incompatible from the outside, but their hearts told a different story.
Of course, this is an Avery Aster Book so the sex was HOTT! but I loved the way that Neve had to work through what she thought she wanted... and when she got it, found what she really wanted was what she'd walked away from.

This is the 4th Book I have read in this Blood Courtesan series, they are fast becoming addictive. Piper was a great lead character, she was sassy, brave and able to look after herself, Working as a PI little does she know that while on an assignment in Egypt she was cursed! She knows that she is being targeted, but she can't figure out why, so she enlists the help of the Vampires.
The Vampire who assists the Police department in Supernatural cases is the vampire that finally tries to help. Sebastian feels the need to protect Piper, both because of his honour and also the draw her blood has for him. There are some twists in the story that will give both of them some issues to face, but it was a very enjoyable storyline. The pair grow close while on their mission to find out what is after Piper, not even the Vampire Council will keep him from keeping her safe.
Piper strong to the end isn't a damsel in distress, she loves Sebastian and she will fight to keep him safe, even if it means putting herself in the firing range. When she works out who is targeting her, she gets a bit of a shock, but not even a prophecy will stop her from ruling her own destiny... Will it be one that includes Sebastian? Well, you will have to read it to find out....more

This is a great book for when you want to get lost for a couple of hours. Ms Michaels kept me captivated with Flora's unexpected trip home.
Now a young Vampire, Flora is enjoying the life she is now living with Max, but a phone call has them rushing home to deal with a devastating incident - one that will bring Flora's ex-pack into the picture again
Will Max allow Flora to confront her tormentors?
One scene was quite hard for me to read, but the situation and Flora's emotional response felt true to heart and I would have felt the same, you will understand the part when you get to it. and the final scene when the pack try to make amends was a fitting ending.
The storyline was both heartbreaking and also uplifting as Flora has the chance to really confront her demons, Donald and his minions get their comeuppance and it was great to see Max allow her to deal with them herself, with him at her side - Partners as well as lovers....more

While these guys have the looks do they really have a clue to how to get Rebecca out of the friend zone and into the girl friend zone?

This was a story about family, about not ignoring something that you know is wrong.
Thousands of children struggle in Foster care, they either fall through the cracks or are placed in homes where the paycheck is more important. This book highlights that humanity has a long way to go when our vulnerable children are concerned.
It was a lovely glimpse into the down time of the team as well as focusing on the realities of being poor or unwanted in our world. ...more

This is the first 'Kindle World' book I have read, but I have loved Caitlyn's books since first finding her "Found" series.
In this novella we have SEALs - oh my! I like nothing more than a military man. Navy SEAL Griffin Porter boards the train with his latest mission - a mission of getting a date with the lovely Miranda Slade. For 2 months he's been getting to know her and he plans on taking the next step by asking her out.
Griffin's friend Wolf Steel and his wife Caroline also climb aboard at another station, so Griffin introduces the pair to Miranda, chatting while they travel, the men decide to get refreshments - and then all hell breaks loose...A thunderous crash leaves their rail car hanging over a cliff!
Griff and Wolf are going to need their teams to help as their car is teetering over a cliff and the EMT's and Firetrucks will not get to it in time...
This was action packed. The tension during the aftermath of the train wreck had me reading as fast as I could. Being a mum and grandmother, Hopes rescue was the most nail biting for me....more
