I loved how the book began, the character, Trinity Dawkins 'lands' in the middle of a busy street, and is hurt in the process. left blind and no memory of how she got there, she soon finds a good samaritan in struggling artist, Jayden Brown.
Jayden is intrigued by her and she inspires him in a way he hasn't felt in a long time. Trinity's lack of knowledge of simple things like cars, French fries, and cell phones has him thinking that it's just a case of amnesia. But when wings unexpectedly burst from her back, he has a lot to digest - his innate honor has him protecting her, even when the powerful winged enemies she fled make their way to Earth, determined to capture her.
Once I got into the story I really enjoyed the way the author had built her world of 'winged beings' - are they the basis of our myths and legends of 'Angels'?
The memory loss that Trinity suffered was a great way of introducing the discovery of both our world and Trinity's abilities.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series, and you will be happy that the story has no cliffhangers. But I do hope we hear more of Trinity and Jayden....more

Mercy has to use all her wit and cunning to survive this book. It's a rollercoaster ride from page 1. I couldn't put it down, so this weekend has been mostly reading. This series is becoming a top favorite and I'm glad my librarian friend suggested it. If you haven't already found this series, go grab book 1 now....more

This had my heart hurting for the young Kostya.
The book then begins with present day, Kostya is a Navy SEAL team leader, the story is action packed with the the teams mission's.
Lark Sorensen is an investigative journalist. Months ago, Kostya and Lark worked together in Afghanistan to help save a mother and her two little girls, and now they're meeting up again on another situation Lark has uncovered.
This book kept me up reading long into the night and I read it over the weekend.

And boy I am glad I did, as I forgot how much I enjoyed Nessa's journey. well on with the review... What I liked - I like the way that the author has created a world where 'were's' mix with natural wolves. That the storyline delves into the science of DNA manipulation and the ethics of where that could lead to. In this book Nessa is now used to being a 'weregirl'— running with Luc her boyfriend and fellow shifter and the wolf pack that lives in the surrounding woods. Paravida, the corporation responsible for unethical genetic experiments on the residents of Tether, (Book 1) has done a dissapearing act... Or Have they?
The book opens with a dramatic scene when Nessa returns home from a run with the pack to find her house swarming with FBI who arrest her mum Vivian, without bail for violations so serious she may be facing life in prison... Vivian’s secret past leads Nessa to discover there is more to her own story than she ever imagined.
The Released Paravida wolves have started to breed with the natural pack, this, in turn, brings alarm to the town and the National Guard move in putting the wolves in danger. While Luc and Nessa try to keep the wolves and town folk safe, Nessa also learns the truth of who her father is. This book is a rollercoaster ride as Nessa tries to help her mum, the wolves, and deal with school and the gossip surrounding her mum's arrest, she finds that she has the strength and the heart to deal with insurmountable stress and still comes up fighting. It's refreshing to read a book where the heroine doesn't need to rely on a guy to save her, she's perfectly capable of saving herself. Nessa's relationship with her best friend is also a refreshing change for YA books. She's supportive and helps not only with the wolf issues but also helps Nessa adjust to being set adrift from all she knew.
I really enjoyed re-reading this series and I am starting Book 3 today....more

This is an amalgamation of book 1 and 2. I really enjoyed the part's where the girls had outings with Nan, some part's seemed slow and over described...then others I wished had had more depth of description. One of the favorite parts was where Leanna has to face her worst fears. I really liked the way the author approached Leanna revisiting her mum in the past and her gaining understanding and acceptance of her feelings for her mother. This book has a lot of worlds visited and I think honestly re reading this book would probably make those worlds seem clearer than first time around as there's a lot to take in. I often felt like the character... A bit lost and scrambling to understand what was happening. Overall I really enjoyed this book and it would suit YA readers who like Lynette Noni fantasy books....more

I really loved diving back into Blair Babylons Billionaires world for this final (maybe) book in the runaway princess series. Flicka was one of my favourite characters.
Dieter was one character that has intrigued me since I started reading these books.
The road that Flicka has been travelling on has been one heck of a rough one for a princess, but she has a strong backbone and she survived, grew stronger and took care of baby Alina, oh there were moments when I ached for Alina and Flicka, I cried for that little child.
But don't fret, Deiter is on his way to rescue Flicka, and nothing or no one was getting in his way.
This book is a page turner (they all were to be honest) I thought about them when I couldnt read, stayed up longer just to get in 30 mnutes of me time to read this book, breakfast and lunch too.
I wasn't disappointed, I LOVE the ending, and can't wait for Max's story - now that is going to be one heck of a book - he is such a mystery!!!!...more

I pre-ordered this book Well, I devoured this book in one sitting - My Phone which has the Kindle app lasted till I got to the last page before dying. I pre-ordered this book as soon as I heard it was coming out...I wasn't disappointed This is the start of Flicker's story and it was great to see it from her perspective as we travel through the events of not only her wedding but also Wulf and Raes wedding and all the bits in between. Ms Babylon has done a great job at keeping readers in the dark to whom Flicker has had romantic liaisons with and I am not spiling it either... BUT I am eager for book 2 and will be Pre-ordering it ready for MAY omg its too long!!! I swooned, broke, got mad, cried and sighed when I got to the last page. I had a really painful hand injury that kept me awake so I literally did not stop reading till it was finished LOL Yes, this is going on the Top reads List for this year - I just need the rest of the books ASAP!!! PS no bad cliffys in the book, but you will be waiting in anticipation for May and the next instalment....more

Zara has always ‘done the right thing’ her new job is on the line, and when a painting appears that cast’s doubt on her father and therefore her integrity, Tobias is there to help… Will Zara give into her heart or listen to her head? The Author takes you on a tumultuous journey into the art world where the Mega rich will do anything to own a priceless piece of art. We learn more about why ICON is selective in his targets, and I couldn’t help but route for him, and hoped that Zara would listen to her heart. I was ‘googling ‘ pictures as they were described in the book, as the descriptive writing intrigued me to actually see if I could see what Zara saw in each painting. It was fun, and that’s the one benefit of an e-book… I know I could just type it into a search engine if I was reading a paperback… but I am lazy sometimes and it’s just a click of a finger on my kindle! There is more action in this book, and the storyline keeps you glued to the pages, I dived into book 3 as soon as I finished. I really enjoyed the book and I think I will miss these characters when I have finished.

I was lucky that a few months later there was a promotion for the next book in the series - The Prize. So I am reviewing this book in advance for that release. I enjoyed this book, the intrigue, suspense and also the romance. Our main character Zara first love is Art, the history, the uniqueness of each artist, and the way each painting is seen by the individual. I really got how she viewed art so it was easy to get into the book and follow Zara as she entered the exclusive job at one of London’s top art investigation firms, Zara's talent for seeing deep into paintings means that she ends up on the team that is helping the police hunt for 'Icon', the mysterious international art thief, he seems to be methodical, daring and selective in his heists, which in turn is baffling the authorities, but as.Zara delves deeper into the case, her personal life becomes more complicated also with the tragedy of her past coming to haunt her as she begins to make a future for herself doing something she loves. When she meets Tobias Wilder, a billionaire who needs her expertise and her discretion. Wilder is an Alpha Male, used to having everything his way, but the sparks fly between them, as their relationship develops Zara can't help surrendering to the way he makes her feel, but will the secrets that Tobias is hiding kill the budding relationship? and the other question is... Who is Icon? Well I know now, you will just have to read the book to find you yourself. *** This review is my honest opinion, I have not received any compensation for reviewing it, it's just my thoughts after reading and I hope you found my thoughts useful***

Marcia was a tough cookie, calm under pressure, but she didn’t mind a helping hand, as long as Zed understood, she was capable of looking after herself.
The storyline kept me turning the pages, plenty of twists and turns to keep me entertained. But the spark between Zed and Marcia really had me hooked, they were just a great team together.
If you enjoy books with a military theme, then you will enjoy reading this series, I know I did and I look forward to more of the Black Dawn team in the near future. *** This review is my honest opinion, I have not received any compensation for reviewing it, it's just my thoughts after reading and I hope you found my thoughts useful***...more
I won the first two books of this series in a raffle at the 2015 Readers and Writers Author Signing in the Gold Coast in Australia, and these two bookI won the first two books of this series in a raffle at the 2015 Readers and Writers Author Signing in the Gold Coast in Australia, and these two books have spent more time travelling in shipping containers! AU to UK then UK to NZ, then NZ to UK!!!! So I am about to move again and I was told to cut down my book haul (only Signed and out of print books are allowed… Trade paperbacks were to go – YES THERE WERE TEARS! But when the cost of international shipping is as expensive as it is I have no choice), so I have a TBR of Paperbacks to read and redistribute to other book lovers before I move again! SO I mistakenly read DEMON first OOPS!!! I should have googled the reading order (it’s not made clear in the paperback) but other than knowing the fate of one of the characters in Book 1 it didn’t make much difference to my reading pleasure, but I would recommend you read BOOK 1 Raziel first!) This book is told in dual POV, and its not chapter by chapter, the indication of the switch is with the first few words of the first line in the paragraph being capitalized. This wasn’t a problem for me, and I could tell the switch by the personality of the characters changing too. I really like how the Author has managed to create such dimensional characters as she wrote these stories, The Angels come across so Unemotional, Above human frailties after eons of existence, but that they are also loveable…I mean the Author wants us readers to ‘want’ her characters as our ‘book boyfriends’ afterall. I liked Allie from the start, she was a character I could relate too, and when destiny happens and she meets Raziel, I smiled at her thoughts, actions and general ‘go with the flow’ attitude that she had when her world tipped upside down. Raziel - well he is a bit of a unfeeling Fallen Angel, stubborn as Allie, and he was sure slow at dealing with the reasons of why he rescued Allie from hellfire against Uriel’s orders. I enjoyed being along for the ride as they deal with the realities of their meeting. As they begin to deal with their personal issues there is also the situation that the Fallen are facing from wrath brought by Raziel’s disobedience, and unfortunately the rest of the Fallen blame Allie for the ferocious Nephilim (Ms Douglas has an entirely different vision from mine of what a Nephilim is, they are still a mysterious evil foot soldier for Uriel by the end of Book 2 also) clawing at the kingdom’s shrouded gates. By the end of the book, Allie and Raziel have to deal with both their feelings and the safety of the rest of the Fallen and their wives. As I said, I knew the outcome of this book before I started, but I enjoyed it because I got to know the rest of the characters that are part of the Fallen Angels and I will be searching out Book 3 in my local library when I finally move in August. (Yes, I have a book buying Ban enforced too! – it’s a good job I love my hubby as much as I do!) ...more
