Although there Interesting plot that could have been so much more. The story was just so simple in its character development, well the relationships. Although there was so much potential, it was way to predictable. As soon as T didn’t want to give up to infamous traitor i knew it had something to do with the other tribe. As soon as Killian found out i knew what i would do to solve the issue and not bring shame to my family, which is exactly what he chose to do. Predictable!...more

This was a story of internal conflict and being able to overcome it or learn to live with it in a way that doesn’t cause harm. A really good whirlwind of a plot. It’s great that the sexual aspect didn’t take away from the story itself. It helped draw the line of who Daniel truly was along with everything else he had to deal with. ...more

I actually enjoyed the plot when it had absolutely nothing to do with breeding or relationships. The war itself seemed to be very unique in a way especially with a newly discovered traitor amongst them. As for the breeding... it’s normal in a story like this however the emotional state of Indigo is mind boggling. Who loses their family and best friend to gruesome deaths then immediately begins to enjoy life again. Shopping, making new friends. I would break down immediately. I do understand her need to connect with Vlosh in order to fill the void left by her parents deaths but come on. This is a stretch and clearly makes her some type of sociopath. There is absolutely no point where she mourns. They die she leaves them to rot where they lay and she moves on. I just can’t comprehend. ...more

The only saving grace is that it was well written. I can’t even say that it was long winded, because it wasn’t... just boring. There was nothing other than the same sex scene over and over. The same day over and over. Why?
Not to mention that their relationship was definitely not a D/s relationship. The use of a “Dom” voice and a few texts reminding you to eat doesn’t make D/s. Yes there was a few spankings but thats common in most vanilla relationships. ...more

Cursed boy returns to town, the quiet special one falls in love with him. But then i was confused! Was Levi in love with the darkness or Monroe? He kept speaking about the gold peaking through the darkness but he spent the entire story loving this great darkness. What kind of relationship can they have once they succeed in banishing a part of Monroe that Levi holds dear. A part that can’t even seem to terrify him enough to stay away. A part that speaks to his heart and soul. Literally and physically.
Very interesting story. Very detailed and consuming in its darkness. This would actually make the perfect paranormal thriller on screen. ...more

Not so unique in the fact that an off world supposedly inescapable prison exists but in the creation and destruction of this small world within the galaxy. I loved Jasak from the very beginning, Aleron doesn’t really grow on you until the end when his selfishness disappears.
I get the point of view of all the working pieces within the story but still have to figure out exactly what is going on. Nothing is spelled out plainly and it leaves you on edge while waiting for the climax. I loved it it was entertaining and emotional.
The dynamics between the imprisoned guards and their prisoners was an interesting one. Jasak tried to keep everything relatively fair seeing as everyone there was essentially there for committing a crime. It just so happened that the stronger species was given the keys to run the place. ...more
