When looking at my previous work I believe I can see an improvement in my writing.

think I can also see this improvement in my grades. When I see that I get a good grade on one of

my writing assignments it makes the confidence in my writing go up. I was never really that

good at writing and I believe this class has helped me understand the fundamentals of writing not

only in an academic setting but a professional setting as well. The improvement I see is due to all

the drafts I had to do on this course. Before this class I would not really do drafts, but now I see

the importance of them and how they can drastically change the outcome of a final paper. I also

noticed that my writing has developed more formally than it was before. I would consider my

writing a little more professional thanks to the help this course provided.

In addition, at the beginning of this course my goal was to understand how psychology

and this course could relate to each other. Communication plays a key role in the psychology

field, and I believe I met the goal for understanding these two concepts. Discussing

communication in a professional setting I believe has helped me better prepare myself for my

future in the psychology field. Being a professional in the career I want to go into is very

important, so understanding how to write documents correctly and understanding what I’m

reading is significant. Throughout the course of this class, I created goals for myself that I also

think I achieved during the time. One of my other goals was to fully accept criticism and

incorporate as much of it into my papers to essentially make them sound better. At the end of the

day the reviewers were trying to help me so I had a goal to fully accept what I did wrong and

how it could be improved. I achieved this goal during the course and even found a new

appreciation for not getting everything right the first time. I now like to gradually build up my

work until they reach the best they could be.


Moreover, the assignment I am the proudest of during this course is the Engagement

project. I struggled with this assignment as I am not the most tech savvy person, but I was

ultimately able to overcome the challenge. Even though I turned it in a little late, the fact that I

was able to finish and actually made the AR experience work made me so happy and proud.

Honestly, out of all the assignments the engagement project made me the most satisfied. It also

helped me to not just give up just because I did not meet the deadline, but to push through and

finish it. Another assignment I liked was the Instructions, I thought it was fun to write

information on a topic I'm familiar with that could benefit others. If I could edit an assignment in

this course, it would be the White Paper assignment. I feel like the instructions could have been a

little more detailed, it felt very broad. Overall, I really enjoyed this course, and I would definitely

recommend it to other students in the future.
