Instructions
Pattern is for a triangular, asymmetrical shawl, slightly curved along the upper edge. It is worked sideways
beginning at the right tip, and is shaped by increasing one stitch at the end of each wrong side row (upper edge).
To make the shawl:
A) Work the Setup Section.
B) Work rows 1-56 of the Texture Section a total of 6 times. After each full repeat, your stitch count should be
a multiple of 4 stitches plus 1 additional stitch. Following are the ending stitch counts for each full repeat:
Repeat # Stitch Count
1 53
2 81
3 109
4 137
5 165
6 193
C) Repeat rows 1-35 of the Texture Section, ending with a right side row. You will have 210 stitches.
D) Complete the Finishing and Blocking instructions.

Finishing and Blocking
• With larger needle, loosely bind off on the wrong side as follows:
k1, *slip stitch just made back to left needle, k2togtbl; repeat from * until all stitches are bound off
End off and weave in ends.
• Soak your shawl in cold water for 30 minutes. Roll the shawl in towels to remove excess water. On dry towels or
a blocking board, stretch the wet shawl from tip to tip and pin the upper edge first. Beginning at the bottom tip of
the triangle, gently stretch fabric towards the lower tip and pin it. Then pin the lower edge, stretching fabric in the
direction of the red arrow in the diagram below. Last, pin the bound-off edge to a gentle curve, placing the pins just
inside the bound-off row. Let the shawl dry completely before removing the pins.
