Guest DT at Quirky Crafts

I was delighted for my Under the Sea Mermaid project some weeks ago to have been chosen 3rd in the Top 3, at Quirky Crafts.  I was invited to join this week as the Guest Design Team member, provided with an amusing digi stamp via Bugaboo stamps. Their challenge for this week is Christmas in August, with an additional twist of choosing three triangles from Lyn's wheel.

Sponsored by

For my three triangles I chose
Blue = Use a Bugaboo Image
Red - Add a Christmas Charm - an angel hanging from the tree
Green - Make a Scene.
Coloured with Promarkers - the snow edged with DI Broken China
Have fun everyone - another Christmas card ready in the box.

Guest Designer at Quirky Crafts

I was fortunate to have been chosen as winning the second prize on a new challenge blog for their #2 challenge for Silhouettes, over at Quirky Crafts  I was delighted when they asked me to be a Guest Designer for this week's challenge. My prize was a digi stamp, to fit for the new challenge. ~~~~~~
Love Story with Ribbons and a Dangling Charm.  ~~~~~A cute digi stamp. As thrilled as I was, anyone who knows me and my blog will know I rarely do cute, and have never used a digi stamp. However, there are times when we should push ourselves and jump out of our comfort zones and this was one of them. I would like to thank everyone at Quirky Crafts for their faith and support, for I actually had a great time creating this card. The digi stamps were easier to use than I thought, though I coloured them with Promarkers, and maybe the ink wasn't dry enough from the printing. I have added the ribbon and there is a heart charm dangling from the ribbon. Please pop over and have a look there are some lovely cards to see.
Also entered into the challenges:-

Quirky Crafts - Silouettes

Thank you Quirky Crafts for the challenge of Silhouettes,  it's been a while since I had a messy play. For me the two go together. I have had a great time, blending the inks, splashing on water, throwing on salt. Then when dry giving a few sprays here and there to add more shimmer and colour. I then choose some recently purchased beautiful long stranded stems to stamp, using Memento Tuxedo black. The Stamps are by My Paper World, a very good price from a craft shop within a garden centre. The love birds are from an E bay purchase. I have only recently found your challenge blog ladies, and plan to visit each week, I will be joining in whenever I can.
